The Calling-A final plea...

The Power of the West doth wane
As the Ages have come and gone
All efforts to life shall be in vain
The darkness over light hath won

But lo! Hope there is here still
For though West doth dim Middle-earth doth shine
The mortal races here must fill
The void left here from the Divine

Come here all to the Haven of Light
I ask thee to aid me in this
To aid the Powers in this fight
To put aright what’th gone amiss

Let Power be shown for all to see
And so say I, so mote it be...

You have come far, through many hidden paths, and they have led here, on the coasts of a secret island in the vast Sea of Rhun. Trees, ancient beyond telling surround you, showing awsome power and wisdom. They are the guardians of this isle, and would allow none who would cause ill to its center, where lies a secret place. Slowly your steps take you through those massive boughs, you follow a path set within your mind, letting your feet guide you along the way. Stars shine softly upon the grass before you. A gentle breeze flows across the land, lifting up your hair sliding down your back, your arms. Suddenly, you come upon a stream, its waters singing joyously against smooth rocks. Its a melody you have heard often before you find sleep and walk through many dreams. You stop to gaze upon that stream as you walk to the middle of that arched bridge, and remark how clear the waters seem, as if not even dirt flowed with it. And then the calling comes once more, an unseen force bids you go, to find the place you are seeking. You go, and notice that the path is leading downward. And then, the trees soon part and before your eyes lie a place of great wonder. For here do all the rivers meet and fall in a cascade of water into a glistening lake. Mists rise from multitudes of such things and shroud within an island, and upon it is a greeat house whose pearly dome glistens in the soft light of the moon. The building is as great as a palace, though more comfortable looking. It was rather a great home, a haven like Imladris that is familiar to all. It is vast indeed, containing many halls and courtyards and stairwells. So many places to see within this great haven. The Haven of the Light. The mist clears a little more, and before you lies a bridge, slender yet strong. You cross it, walking slowly in wonder at the majestic sight before you. Soon great doors rise before you and you lift your hand to know to find that they open without a sound. Within is a round hall, with tapestries of ancient scenes, wars, councils. All were beautifully made and colourful. Great arches encompassed the room, making it seem a globe rather than a hall. There were stairs at the sides, curling upward as well as down into places quite unknown. In the center is a round altar with a single large candle burning in its center. Many holes there seemed to be within it, places where more candles could be inserted. You feel a sense of power in this place, and a sense of belonging. You are home...

Welcome to the Haven of Light, home of the Powers of Arda. I am Istariquendi, Guildmaster and Annointer of the Powers. I have been chosen by Eru on high to appoint a multitude of God-like creatures to govern Middle-earth. For as this Age passes, it falls further and further into chaos. Though I am able to grant power to others, I have not the ability to weild it, so I ask you all to aid me here. The Haven of Light is our center, where one could rest after their travails of the Enemy.

The History:

The Valar did err when they removed themselves from the Circles of the World. For in doing so they sundered their power from the lands of Middle-earth. In their strength they were able to cross the Void that seperated Valinor from the hither lands, yet their power wanes as the years pass by and soon all influence over Middle-earth shall be lost forever. I must do all in my power to stop this from happening, for evil shall overrun our land shall it come to pass. We must create a link to the Powers, and in order to do so they must be channeled through those who would accept the responsibility of their power. By Eru on high I have been given the ability to grant such power, and it is up to me who shall govern the fate of this land. I beg of all those who wish to save their land to come to the Haven of Light and become the Powers of Arda. If not, all shall be lost...

The Disciples:

In order to become a new Power, you must choose under which Vala or Maia you will study under. Thus, you will become a Disciple of the respective Vala you choose. Say you wish to be a Lord of Airs, you would chose to be a Disciple of Manwë. Of course you would have your own name, which you will choose once you are sure this is the power you wish to have. From that day forward you will be known by that name within this Guild. It shall be a title of some sort.

Here is the list of Valar you can study under:

Manwë~

Lord of the Airs. Friend of the Eagles and all animals of flight. He is the wise leader of the Valar and known as terrible in might though rather sober in manner.

Varda~

Spouse of Manwë. Also known as Elbereth Gilthoniel of Star Kindler. She is the reveared Lady of the Stars, creating some of the vessels to light up the night skies and making bright the ones already hung upon the horizon. She is beautiful and the favorite of the Elves.

Ulmo~

Ossë~

A Maia spirit and lesser Lord of Waters. he was appointed by Ulmo to control the seas that reast upon Arda while Ulmo resided in the halls in the greatest of all seas. Easily put to wrath, it is he who causes the storms that sailors fear.

Uinen~

A Maia Spirit and spouse to Ossë. As mistress of the mermaids, it is to her that sailors call out to let her hair calm the raging seas that her husband stirs.

Mandos~

Lord of the Dead. Keeps to himself in the halls that are named after him. He knows most among the Valar of what is to become of Arda, thus he is a Power of Prophecy.

Vairë

Spouse of Mandos known as 'the Weaver'. It is she who spins out the fates of the world and weaves into her pattern the great stories of an Age.

Lorien~

Lord of Sleep and Dreams and brother to Mandos. His gardens are beautiful and within are where great dreams are beheld. A lover of the night and stars.

Aulë~

Lord of the Forge. Aulë is a master craftsman and the father of curiousity. It was he who crafted the vessels for the Sun and Moon.

Yavanna~

Lady of Growth and Prosperity. Spouse to Aulë the Smith. She is the governor of all that grows upon Arda, from the mighty trees to the lowly mosses.

Tulkas~

Lord of Strength and merriment. Tulkas is the one who defeated Melkor after wrestling with the most powerful Vala. He is known to have entered Arda full of laughter.

Oromë~

Lord of the Hunt. He rides upon his steed Nahar with the golden hooves. He is seen in Middle-earth hunting for whatever prize he can find.

Vana~

Also called the Ever-young. She is the spouse of Oromë and Lady of youth.

Nienna~

Sister of Mandos and Lorien. Lady of mourning and pity. By her tears were the last blossoms of Telperion and Laurelin born.

Melkor~

Lord of Darkness and Chaos. Melkor was once the most powerful of the Valar, and waged continuous war against the others of his fold. He now resides beyond the Circles of the World, chained and bound until the Last Battle.

Olorin~

Maia spirit. Lord of Wisdom and a helper of the mortal races still in Middle-earth.

Melian~

Maia spirit. Lady of the Nightengales, her power is great among the other Maiar

The Realms:

In the past, Powers have created Realms where they could rest when not within the Haven of Light. You, as the new Powers, can create a Realm of your own and visit those of others, if they consent. These are your personal Havens, a home away from home.

TinuvielUndomiel- Gaear o Luin Alagos: Haven of the WindStorm.

The Conjourer of the Airs pushed the long sleeves of her cloak up her slender, nearly translucent arms. She had been preparing for this day for a while and her form was physicalizing the spell she was working on. Wilwarin's spiralling bands spun faster in preparation...

****RING ACTION****
A deep cerulean blue, dark as a stormy sky, gathered around the form of the elf. Her lips, now turning translucent with the rest of her body, moved silently for a moment, then a sound so sweet and so bold burst forth, the colours of the wind upon her voice. As she sang, the consonants twirled around one area after another, stirring up the formerly calm air in sparkling blue-grey spirals. As the spiralling winds came to the winter-dead trees, they twisted their way up, twirling the trees until each branch was a perfect ringlet. The leaves, long since gone, suddenly blossomed in their full glory, each leaf turning silvery-blue and twisting in upon itself. Blossoms that smelled like the sweet tang of the Spring's first rain shower appeared in a white flash and spiralled around one another to create heavy, long threads of blooms that trailed down from the silver branches.

When the trees were complete, the tiny whirlwinds pulled up the tender green shoots that were waiting below the Earth's surface. They became twirled cat-tails and reeds, tall grasses and delicate blue flowers that looked promising as a noon-day snack (the flowers looked much like candy). Soon, the barren land was transformed into a lush vale, tropical in nature. Birds sung a lovely yet never-before-heard song, their turbulent trills swooping vocally over the gentle breeze constantly being issued forth. Never was the wind harsh or unforgiving in this land, it was always a peaceful reminder of the mistress's nature.

A waterfall of unusual proportions spun up to the left of Tinu's world, it would be the place where all clouds began their journey into MiddleEarth's skies. This "cloud factory" was a steamy air-broth over the restorative waters of the land. Being fed from this soft blanket-like atmospheric mixture were three fountains that spewed cloud foam, constantly changing colors from white to purple to stormy grey to ocean blue to sunny-day blue to black and back again.

Next, the whirlwinds pulled together one of the magnificent trees and a clump of the soft soil to create a spiral-staircased tower. With the tree and the soil combined, it appeared to be similar to a Lothlorien flet, but the stairs were made of smooth, twisted clay painted silver and violet and etched with various elven runes. A spider's thread was used as the railing. Hundreds of threads were twirled together to create the strongest, yet most flexible, railing ever seen. Intricate patterns were designed using this same method, scenes of Nature's Weather were detailed upon each section in vivid and lifelike detail.

Tinu climbed the staircase that wound round the elegant tree, the perfume of the twirled blossoms making her sleepily comfortable, yet energetic at the same time. At the top of the stairs was a door made of twisted mithril braids. She opened it and stepped inside.

The room glowed with a periwinkle hue as she looked down from the indoor balcony. The staircase on the inside was as detailed and as spiralled as the outer stairs, but these were painted silver and cerulean. Murals of intense colors filled the walls, each telling stories of the Master Windkey. Tapestries covered the few areas not already covered by the stippled art, one in particular caught Tinu's eye: it was a thickly woven piece with the classic unicorn rearing up on its hind legs, its eyes burning proudly. However, that was not what caught her eye; it was the clouds in the foreground of the unicorn that fascinated her so. The tempestuous clouds flew in the back while the rest of the tapestry was still. Never did the same cloud pass by twice. It was a living picture, as were many in the vertical hall. Along her way down the stairs, she passed by many ornately carved chestnut tables with swirls cut deftly into the grain. On top of these shining creations, vases of silver, painted with periwinkle, sat, their oddly assorted spiral coils lending a thematic addition to the room.

At the end of the stairs, she caught Wilwarin's whirlwinds creating a spacious kitchen to the left, a room of comfort to the right, and a room of rest straight ahead. As exhausted as she was, she could not continue the creation without some rest, so she wearily trod to the room of rest. Behind her, the whirlwinds multiplied and then grew to enormous proportions. One slowly shut her door and sat there, revolving slowly, while the others raced out in a howl of wind to guard the land.

The next day, she awoke in the newly completed Room of Atmospheric Rest. It was the only place in which the wind did not constantly circulate, making it an ideal place for a guest to spend the night if they desired silence and utter darkness. Dark blue velvet curtains adorned the small window and lighter hues of blue filled the rest of the room. A small, redwood table with carved legs of smooth spirals sat near the bed, a silken-covered lamp of cerulean on top of it.

Finally, her world was complete, down to the last detail. She looked out the small window and a cheerful world beckoned her below. Wilwarin had completed its work as she slept, sending her decisions to it as her mind floated above the clouds. A gentle breeze blew round the merry flowers that nodded to the sun and the long, blossom-heavy trees waved to anyone who passed by. She smiled and made her way outside to enjoy the beautiful day.

Elora- Kalrienmar: Haven of the Mistress of Light.

Far in the distant north, beyond the Grey Havens, beyond lore and knowledge, was built Kalrienmar. The cultivated, tamed lands of men and hobbit folk rolled into a forest that had stood since time began. Once part of Fangorn in younger days, but now cut off from the South, this forest had claimed much of Beleriand before it's destruction at the end of the First Age. What remained was but a fragment of it's former vast glory, but was still wild and green and filled with an austere power that dwelt silently in each leaf, bough, grass blade or stone.

It sprang up on the edges of cultured fields to run rampant and untamed across leagues until it fell into the sea. An ancient forest it was, and it shrouded Kalrienmar which was built in the cliffs that overlooked the remote ocean. Kalrienmar was the dwelling of the Guardian of Arda, named by the High Elves as the dwelling of the Maiden of the Light though they had seen it not. No foot bar hers had ever been set within it, no eye gazed upon it bar hers. It was a place chosen for it's solitude, away from the intrusions of the mortal world and often she had dwelt there seeking peace. The Guardian had been able to please herself in it's construction, and so was built to accommodate her particular wishes. She had ensured it was filled with light, air and wide spaces (being fond of dancing).

Wandering through that forest, had she allowed it, a traveller would have found a remarkable sight following the sounds of the sea. Crossing a cool stream that sang silver notes as it danced its path to the nearby ocean, the forest thinned suddenly leaving a lush green sward. A sheer rockface reared on the other side, soaring to an astonishing height. In it's sandstone surface a strange edifice looked back into the forest. It had been carved intricately with power, veins within the rock smoothed and polished until they glistened by sun and moonlight. The carvings flowed across the surface as though they possessed a life of their own, depicting strange plants, animals and words. Difficult as it was to discern distinct designs, scattered across the surface were the House sigils of each free people within Arda.

In one place only had the rock been simply smoothed back, creating a large oval than ran from the grass to the tops of the precipice far above. Centred within that was the Flame Sigil of the Guardian. For ages it had stood, unsullied by rain or wind or time. Recently it had changed though no mason earthly or otherwise shaped it to be so. Now the flame stood in the centre of four cross sword blades, and would remain so even after she departed the Circles of Arda. Turin's meeting with the Flame had unalterably changed the sandstone as it had the woman that loved him.

Had mariner's ever ventured to that sea, they too would have been rewarded with sight of Valrienmar. They never did so, Osse's rampant energy running amok over the waves. Too many had never returned from voyages to the far North, not even the Numenoreans had persisted. High along the sandstone cliffs flowed glass that was embedded in the rockface. It too was etched and engraved in the same fashion as the rock in the forest beyond. Sunlight was caught within the carving, and flashed brightly. The glass was wide and tall, forming entire walls to the rooms beyond. It flowed with the cliff before it rounded a corner. There a balcony had been carved, and the glass ran about its inner perimeters.

The balcony was wide and long, with the doors set in the glass at the back of the open space lost in cool shadow. It was hung with lengths of gently coloured fabric that floated and danced upon the sea wind. The corner on the other side of the balcony was lost behind the stream that tumbled ceaselessly over the cliff to its home in the ocean far below. The glass flowed behind that, emerging on the other side of the constantly moving water to continue on a whiles before surrendering once more to the standstone.

Beneath the balcony, far below, a small haven large enough for one small ship to berth had been carved from the rock. From this haven climbed gentle stairs that switched back and forth until they climbed behind the falls and onto the balcony. From this inlet would Elora approach her dwelling.

Only she had danced barefoot across the marble floors within, revelling in the light that bathed the halls through the glass. Only she had run light fingers, tracing the patterns of the veins in the sandstone walls. Only her voice had sounded in the halls. .

It had been long since she last ran through the rooms, lazed in front of fires, or lay on her bed. But Kalrienmar knew her mistress well and would welcome her back after another long absence. Though she had yet to arrive, Kalrienmar was filled with laughter and the scent of flowers on a ocean breeze. Fires burned gently to warm areas too cool, hangings drifted on the wind as Kalrienmar prepared for herarrival. Rooms and halls stood open and ready to welcome her.

Miles away, a small ship parted the heavy shroud of Osse's storms and plied it's way across the ocean. In its bow stood Elora, guiding the vessel onwards, warding it from Osse's might. The ship moved unnaturally under her guidance, closing the distance to Kalrienmar quickly until the haven closed around it. With efficient movements, she secured it to its berth and disembarked. Up the stairs carved into the rock she fluidly arose to climb to the balcony above.

At the back of the deep balcony stood two wide doors. They were carved from a black wood and were without device save the silver that was inlaid. It formed once more the Sword and Flame combined. The doors soundlessly swung back, the dwelling flinging itself open at its own command.

Elora had stepped through those doors on countless occassions, but never in such a fashion. Sometimes heartsick, or injured or simply craving some peace she had sought this place. She turned to look down the wide hall that ran from the doors. Memories crowded her and she smiled to herself.

Down the centre of the floors ran a soft carpet in muted colours of blues, silvers and greens. It added a subtle touch of colour admist the light that flowed through the carven glass walls and refracted from the smoothed stone and marble of the interior. . On the walls hung woven carpets, depicting the great events of Arda. They ranged from the earliest days to the most recent, depicting significant acts of all the peoples of Arda: Ainur; Edain; Eldar; and the Dwarven kindreds.

Past these and the fireplace which crackled warmly to combat the cool stone walls she wandered. Here and there were scattered low chairs and tables, their design speaking of comfort above all else. Half way down she paused. To either side opened a smaller hall. She took the left one first, and wound her path through the rooms that opened onto it. A library, a workroom, a room filled with musical instruments, a room filled with no distraction whatsoever for meditation, all looked out through the glass wall to the sea beyond. Each had a purpose and revolved around her main pursuits.

She eagerly quested through each, reacquainting herself with her sanctuary, before returning to the mail hall. There Elora paused to collect a crystal glass and fill it with a rich red wine. Then she pressed into the right arm of the hall. These rooms dealt more with Elora rather than her life or her pursuits.

The kitchen was the first to be discovered, small, well equipped and well stocked. Enough could be stored for many long years, however the forest without offered rich provender as well and she planned to hunt for fresh food in the coming days, if she could manage to.

The two rooms beyond were linked to the other. One was completely tiled in a deep blue ceramic with the exception of the glass wall. Sunk by that wall was a deep tub, brilliant white against the blue around it. A low bench held soft towels, flowers were everywhere and amongst those were candles of varying sizes and age. From that room the bedroom could be easily seen. It was an unusual room, in that the items within were juxataposed in a most strange fashion.

The bed was wide and high, four posts flowing to a canopy of translucent silk that could be let down so as to encompass the bed. Surrounded by the same blue, silver and green carpets of the hall, it was overlaid with rich bedding of soft cottons, blankets and some furs, for at times the cold of the north troubled this coast. A large chest lay at the foot of the bed, on it rested a helm and a lace shawl, the last things she had discarded there before falling into it's soft comforts on earlier occassions. Outside, the falls could be seen to pass by the glass, the light shining through the descending water casting a blue pattern on the floor and bed within.

A fire place was set, and yet not lit, a carpet before it and now a chair upon it. Again, flowers filled the room. Against one smoothed wall rested a spear, ancient now as it came from the host of Fingolfin. Against another a strange stringed instrument, a predecessor of the guitar. A large wooden wardrobe was filled with strange garb for the varied courts and lands she passed through. Over a chair in one corner was draped a corslet of ring mail, cut for a woman. Atop a cupboard rested a collection of bottles she had collected, drawn by their form or the colour of the glass.

Elora smiled as she regarded the detrius of her scattered, roaming life. Setting her glass aside, Elora twirled. Then, her feet danced and skipped over the marble floors in light hearted delight, her laughter ringing as she twirled through halls and back onto the balcony. The sun flashed a triumpant red as Arien sought her rest. Elora sighed, leaning against the cool stone balustrade. Her fingers traced the veins in the stone idly as she watched the light play on the ceaseless waves. Home at last.

Elfatawen- Tol Uirelokë: Island of Dragons.

From the Ered Luin came the dragon. A dark gold dragon she was, seeking peace from the incessant blundering of idiotic knights who believed that they were doing the world a favor by trying to eradicate her and her kind. All of her kindred had left or been killed, she was the last of the Ered Luin dragons. South she flew, for she had heard of an island where dwelled the Lady Lossëfalme, Watcher of the Uirelokë and Friend of the Krysalpiren dragon Hwesta.

Past the Gulf of Lune and the Grey Havens, past forest and mountain and river. The Baranduin and Gwathlo fell away behind along with the Isen, and the Ered Nimrais Mountains. Over Gondor and Lebennin she flew and still southward, over Harad and into the unnamed lands, staying over the coastline. Many days passed on her journey but she did not stop. She wouldn't stop until she reached the Island of Dragons, Tol Uirelokë.

Then she saw the landmark that she had been told to watch for. A line of obsidian pillars marched into the sea in a straight line to the west. Lining up her flight path with the spine-like formation she flew out over the ocean into a blueness of sea and sky that seemed to go on unbroken forever. Ever so slowly a shape began to appear on the horizon. It grew larger and larger. And green! It was the island that she had been looking for!

Even closer and she saw cliffs rising from the crashing waves, cliffs that rose to green covered mountains. What a paradise this was! The dragon could see birds flitting from tree to tree and bright flowers that seemed to glow in the shadows. Red and yellow and blue and orange and purple, every color imaginable and beyond for as far as she could see.

Passing over an exceptionally large mountain, the dragon saw a huge bay in front of her. The arms of the island curved around to embrace the waters in which cavorted dolphins and sea dragons. Directly underneath her the dragon saw a huge waterfall go plummeting over the side of the cliffs to crash upon the surface of the water below. She looked ahead towards the place where the arms of the island came together to form a channel to the outer ocean and there it was! The abode of the Lady Lossëfalme!

Situated on the southern arm the palace spiraled up the fifty-foot cliff face from the bay and rose a hundred feet above the level of the land. It was constructed of white marble and the spires were roofed in mother of pearl. There were large landing areas for visiting dragons and a white sand beach at the base of the cliff that curved around a third of the bay.

The dragon landed on one of the platforms and proceeded down a dragon-sized hallway that curved around itself in slowly rising spirals. There were murals on the walls that had been done in jewel tone paints. Looking closer she saw that the paints had been made from dragon scales and used with such detail that she could look at one piece of the mural for days and still find new things. So absorbed in the murals was the dragon that she didn't notice she was nearing a room until she stepped out into it.

Looking up in surprise the dragon stopped in her tracks. There was a sound of falling water coming from all around her and she gasped as she saw that the walls were all covered with sheets of crystal clear water that reflected the sunlight coming from the open sky above. Then she heard a bell-like laugh coming from ahead of her. The dragon peered in that direction and saw a tall seat that was reached by a flight o stairs. Coming closer she saw that there was a person on the throne. Could it be the one that she had come to see?

Suddenly a shadow blocked out the sunlight from above and a dragon with two pairs of wings sank to the opalescent floor. It was the Krysalpiren that was said to be friends with the Lady! Summoning up her courage, the dragon spoke to the two beings in front of her.

"My Lady," she said. "I have journeyed far these last few days to ask your permission to abide on this lovely isle. All of those that I know in my homeland have fled or been killed by human knights and I could not stand the loneliness any longer."

"Of course you can stay here my dear." Elfetawen said. "That is what I built this place for you know! But come. The sun is setting and I must light the lanterns."

With that Elfetawen climbed onto Hwesta's back and the two dragons flew up to the top of the palace and landed on a large platform. The elfess slid from Hwesta's back and walked to the outer edge of the platform and looked out across the bay. Cupping her hands together in front of her she whispered ********RING ACTION******** and an amber ring on her left hand began to glow. Closing her eyes she concentrated and a large, sparking ball of purple flame coalesced in her hands. She then threw the flame into the air and shouted "Thon i calma! (Kindle the lamps!)" and the ball of flame split and streaked in hundreds of different directions which each came to rest in special vessels all over the island.
********END RING ACTION******** the elfess said. Then she turned to the two dragons and said, "Now let us find some food and talk about your journey my new friend, for I would hear of the world and it's changes." And the three of them proceeded to do just that.

NenyaofDiadron- Tolwa i Kala: Hill of the Stars.

Nenya holds out his hand, a small shiny mithril ring rest in his palm. He smiles and mutters to himself..."Gonna have a difficult time using you for this..." He slipped the ring into a pocket on the inside of his cloak. He stand tall upon small hill, facing the stars.

Slowly pulling his hood back, he dropped his travelworn cloak to the floor. He raised his arms to the sky, and held for a few long moments. The wind was rustling the small blades of grass beneath his feet. Crickets were sounding off in a nearby forest...and these were the only sounds that could be heard. Suddenly, a flash of light traveled through the forest, up the hill and into the sky. It arched and came back down, crashing into the hill. The sky was set ablaze by the light, and a ring of fire broke out upon the hill, encircling Nenya. The fire flickered and turned a bright white.

The rising smoke of the fire filled the sky overhead, clouding the light of the stars. The smoke begin swirling around the sky, and the rays of light from the stars were mixed in with the smoke. The smoke was illumanated, shining bright as the stars above it, as it rose higher and higher and the spiral got tighter and tighter. The end trails of the smoke began to left their light upon the hilltop. The smoke that had elevated into the sky was no fading calmly into the darkness of the night sky. When the last bits faded, the fires on the hill sparked and shot into the air. The circular form remained, until the fires reached the outermost sky. The circle closed in tighter until the flames were pressed against eachother. They seperated again, and the circle got bigger. The flames paused for a moment, and the light began to fade.

His body erupted into light, losing any of its familiar form. The light slowly rose from the ground, then soaring through the sky, it stopped in the middle of the ring of fire. The flames around the light began pulsating violently, and began to swirl with tremendous speed around this figure of light. All eight balls of flame came crashing into the light, exploding with such power that the earth trembled from a league below them. The explosion that occurred once all flames had disappeared into the light was of such magnitude, that the nearby forest was demolished. It branches were set ablazed, and their trunks were instantly incinerated by the flames.

A blanket of light now coated the sky, and when the smoke and fire cleared, the figure of light stood atop a glowing pedestal in the sky. The pedestal looked of laces of light strung about in a beautiful pattern. The figures arms rose to the sky, and the light of the pedestal flickered. Before long, it resonated with an even brighter light. The figure of light began to take form, that of Nenya's, but it still remained without any features. Around his feet, the light of the pedestal slowly swirled outwards, disappating as it spun. It left a circle, four feet wide, in the center of the pedestal. The form of Nenya slowly descended through the dark circle, and floated down to the hilltop from where he started all of this. He bent over, picked up his cloak and fastened it about his neck. The light resonating from his body pierced the finely woven fibers of his cloak.

His featureless body remained, but it still rettained its form. As it approached the scorched forest, life began to emerge from the dead plants. They sprouted quickly into the night sky, and their leaves were edged with light. The trees shined through the cracks in the bark, creating an eerie glow throughout the forest. Nenya stopped in the middle of it, calling out to whomever or whatever was listening. "I have done it, I have created a knigdom for all dwellers of light. Stand proud upon the Hill of the Stars and pass through the gateway that now hovers above us in the sky."

Through the gateway, one would be transported into a world abundant in light. Buildings seemed to be created solely of light, and yet, a person could not pass through its walls. The city at the other end of the gateway stretched for endless miles, and was already inhabited by thousands of people, some from the present, some long dead, even some from the distant future. In the very center of the city stood a forest, one that was filled with life and death, the very forest that suffered in the creation of this place. When the silver moon rose above the horizon, its light pierced every corner of the city, all shadows diappeared, and the forest lit up with an intense light.

Friend- I Ollo Coa o Nilmë: The Cliff-House of Friendship.

The figure of an elf, robes blowing in the wind, could be seen standing upon a cliff overlooking the sea, barely visible in the dying light. Amid the sounds of the waves crashing upon the rocks, and the lonely cries of the sea birds, the elf smiled. This desolate place would be empty no longer. She was the Keeper of Friendship, and she had finally chosen her realm. The Keeper had already begun work on the main building, which was being carved into the very face of the cliff. It was times like these, she mused, that it was helpful to control the Star Ring of Magic. The cliff had been weathered by time, and then by the power of her ring, to suit it to her liking. Vines crept down the rocks, adding an ancient feel to the realm. On the top grew many trees, some of them older than the keeper herself, which was old indeed, though she did not look it. Slowly she descended the rail-less stairway, hewn into the face of the cliff, leading to the building. As her bare feet worked their way down the rough stone, she paused to look upon the ocean. The sun was setting on the horizon, adding a red tone to the water, before the world again faded to a midnight blue. Abruptly, the stairwell turned ceased, upon a large shelf in the cliff. Here were placed large double doors, engraved with intricate details of trees and vines. Upon the face of the cliff there were balconies that protruded, and windows carved in various spots, obviously along passages. All looked as if the work had been done ages ago, by skilled masonries, and then decorated by elven artisans. The Keeper- Friend was her name, waved her hand. The ring upon her hand glowed a brilliant blue, and the doors opened wide in welcome. Inside, a wholesome glow emanated from strange lanterns on the walls, lit by some other means than flame. Plush red carpeting covered the floor, and the walls had been sanded until they shone. Upon the walls were pictures of places in nature, from the forest to the tundra. At the end main hallway was a large arch, and through here passed the Keeper. She emerged into a high-ceilinged room, a large fireplace on the back wall, chimney leading to some outlet in the cliff, comfortable furniture arranged within. There was enough seating to accommodate dozens of people. The floor this time was polished marble. Through a large window, which opened to the ocean, she watched as the sun sink finally out of sight, and was replaced by the waxing moon. She left the room, exiting through another archway, which led to another hall. Along the walls of this hall were many doors, each leading to guest rooms. The Keeper opened one gently, and peered inside. Carpet again covered the floor, this time white. Soft blues were present throughout the room, and the bed was made of beech wood. Satisfied that everything was in order, she again ventured to explore the rest of the building. Slowly she walked through, passing the frequent windows, exploring every room and balcony. Upon the last balcony, she looked again to the sea. The moon had disappeared from the sky, and the sun was again rising. The Keeper made her way back to the stairwell, and with a wave of her hand, closed the doors. She slowly ascended, and when she was back upon the top, sat under a tree, looking to the ocean. The lonely birds cried again, and the crash of the waves had not ceased, of course. Friend smiled to herself. Her realm had been completed, and now she could bring joy again to this lonely place.

Arwen902-The Forest of Elements.

The keeper of the flame of Anor, after walking through the forest for some time, returned to finish her realm. There was nothing left to do except light the candles and check everything was in order. She stood in front of the oak doors and looked at the building. Windows and balconies were visible along the white marble walls. Arwen opened the doors and stepped into the hall. There was a thick blue carpet on the floor, and a marble staircase at the far end. Woven around the metal handrail of the staircase were thick vines with white flowers. Along the walls of the hall were six doors, all black but each with a different symbol painted on it.

Arwen walked through the first door on her left. Painted on the black door was a single raindrop. She entered the water room. The floor was glass but underneath, multicoloured fish could be seen. The walls were blue. There were settees and chairs in each of the rooms for guests, in this room they were blue. The sound of rushing water could be heard at all times in this room. She looked around, satisfied that nothing needed to be done here she moved back into the hall.

Now she entered the first door on the right. This door had a flame painted on it. The floor was red carpeting and the walls were orange. There were small stone shelves dotted around the walls on which were red candles in copper holders, none were lit. The furnishings in this room were also red. Set into the far wall was a huge fireplace but there was no fire. Arwen smiled, this was her speciality. She extended her left hand to concentrate fully on the fire ring of Siarina on her middle finger.
***Ring action***
The white flame inside the garnet changed colour to a bright orange. The floor around the door caught fire and spread along the walls so that small golden flames now lined the floor. Sparks jumped to the candles and fireplace, setting them alight.
***End ring action***
She whispered a word in Quenyan and the thick red drapes across the window drew back, shining light on the fire room. She turned and left.

The next door had a whirlwind on it. As she pushed the door open a soft breeze hit her, blowing her long dark hair out of her face. She looked down at her feet, though she knew the floor was a sky blue carpet it was so covered with white clouds that she couldn’t see it. The chairs were pale blue and the walls were the same colour. The ceiling looked like the sky outside, blue with clouds in the daytime and dark with stars at night. The sun and moon shone through a tall window that had thin white curtains billowing on either side of it.

She turned back into the hall and approached a door with a tree on it. She opened the door of the earth room and walked inside. Instead of looking as though it was underground the earth room looked like a garden. The floor and furnishings were deep green and the ceiling looked like a canopy of leaves. On the walls trees and plants were painted so realistically she could almost see them move. Birds and animals could be heard all the time.

She walked into the last two rooms in the hall. One was a spacious kitchen of red tiles and wooden furniture, the other a large bathroom decorated with white, purple and green tiles. In both rooms the windows were multicoloured stained glass. After she left those rooms Arwen climbed the marble stairs to the last main room, stopping halfway to use her ring to summon fireflies that hovered and glowed among the vines.

The last room was the library. Ceiling to floor bookshelves lined the walls, separated by windows the same size. Opposite the door were double windows that opened onto the balcony. The floor was wooden. There was a huge oak table in the centre of the library, which was littered with scrolls and books. Tapestries hung on the walls and candles were on the table, bookshelves and even on the floor. Arwen used her ring to light them. Feeling content with her realm she now went through the double windows and sat on the balcony in the sun. There were other rooms but she had already checked them. Finally she had finished.

gladrieltook- Arda-Estel: Realm of Hope

As GT danced upon the grass, and sang her sweet song, flowers sprung up from her footsteps and blossomed into a great garden. A spring bubbled up in the midst of a ruined fountain and ran over, nurishing the choked earth and from it's waters sprang forth many lovely flowers. Ruins, which stood like forgotten bones from ancient war, were covered in vines, which twisted and blossomed with many fair flowers; four-o-clocks, and morning glories; and wild roses grew about the fallen walls, covering them in their wild beauty. GT laughed and many more flowers sprang up; camomiles of healing, roses of unsurpassed beauty, tulips and poppies, and all manner of blossom. She danced between the flowers, and upon the rim of the fountain, and lilies bloomed in the midst of the water. And GT saw that her work was done, and named it Arda-Estel, "Realm of Hope", and she was glad. Her work done, she laid down upon the moss, and fell into a sleep, while a coverlet of rose-petals covered her slender body. Her long hair fanned out over the ground, and the sun lighted upon it and it shone more brilliantly than the gold of the Dwarven smithes of old. And the flowers flourished, and grew high and wild, till no stone was to be seen by man or beast, and spirits of fell things were banished from their radiance and beauty.

<i>They have not come...</i><BR><BR>The thought assailed Istari as he walkede about the Haven. Had his Calling not worked? Were the Powers that he sought slain or captured? Was he too late? No, he must not be... So many things depended upon this gathering, if it failed...<BR><BR><i>It will not fail!</i><BR><BR>Ah, but the Powers have delayed in their coming. Precious moments slide by uselessly. Istari was helpless to stop it. Would the Enemy win? Was that the plan of Eru on high? With a flick of his hand, Istari conjured a chair, vines wrapping about its arms and back. He sat within it, the plants acting like cushions. Ever his eyes looked upon the altar, remarking the flame within its center. It was a symbol of his power. The rest of the canles would come later, when the Powers arrived. If they were to arrive...

Suddenly a gust of air wafts across the flame, bending it. Istari looks up and sees someone standing in the doorway. The figure steps forward and the tiny dragon on her shoulder stretches its wings.<BR><BR>"Istari, my cousin, you have been busy I see."<BR><BR>____________________________<BR><BR>Very busy indeed <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> I like it <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

"So the first one comes..." Istari whispered to himself. He stood, smiling at the figure before him. Lossefalme she was called, a cousin of his and a dear friend of dragons as well, as he saw with Hwesta upon the elf's shoulders. The great candle burned ever more furiously, changing into a multitude of colours, rouge, jancith, violet. It did so whenever a potential Power came within the entrance hall.

"The times that are to come call for toil, dear cousin." Istari consented. Seeing the soiled clothing and drawn face of his kinswoman, he remembered his hospitality

"You have come far..." Istari said. "I am sure that you are weary from your quest. You know why you are here of course?" A nod from Losse confirmed his suspicions.

"I am sure you are eager to continue on your path." He continued. "Yet the time is not yet come. Once you have gotten rest and food within you, we can begin the induction ceremony." He had walked to the elf by now, resting a hand on her shoulder. <BR><BR>"Come, I shall show you to your room."

Istari, you forgot the greatest Vala of them all: Morgoth. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0><BR><BR>Seriously though, I think we need a villain. It was one of the reasons the last RP didn't go anywhere; there was no clear villain. Do you think we need a "baddie" in the guild?

"All are welcome indeed!" Istari said, gazing upon those newly come. "Armenelos, Aurandir, and Skyfiery as well. All of you have toiled I assume, and seek rest within..."

"I am sure we can find a place for you under Lorien dear Mithamarth! Just as soon as you are rested and fed."

Yes, Aurandir, I believe so myself. It was just before Iwas about to introduce him too. It would have been a good plot twist as well! Maybe we'll need ones who study darkness, though it is what we fight.

I have arrived. The end of all paths, and the course of new ways. Which way shall I walk, I wonder? Or is it my fate to tred a narrow line?' And I woyuld study under the Lord of Airs, Manwe Sulimo, if it pleases you.' <i>Will I later though?</i> was his most secret, innermost thought. <i>So many paths to choose.</i>

(Elfe-That is all right , though it might be a little confusing. Hopefully the next one will be set up better...<BR><BR>Aurandir- How unmannerly of you! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> So Manwë it is you seek! Good choice!)<BR><BR>"That is well." Istari said. "Now it is about time that you found soft beds to sleep in!" A candle appeared in Istari's hand, its flame but dim against the great one next to him. Yet they would need it throughout the long halls, which had not gotten proper lighting of yet. <BR><BR>"Follow me, if you will." He said beginning his ascent up the circular steps. Halls with white walls, lined with tall wooden pillars that stretched impossibly high, greeted the group as they walked. The Haven contained mystery still, skylights showing only starlight above. Everything was dark, though not in a way that instilled fear, rather curiosity. Soon he found his way to the apartment wing. It was another circular room, wityh a small courtyard in its center like an atrium. Rooms lined its edges under a pillared canopey that stretched beyond the simple doors.<BR><BR>"This shall be where you rest while within here, though I daresay that will be little..." Istari said. "Choose whichever room you like, though you'll find them similar enough. It will be up to you to add whatever you wish to make it your own. <BR><BR>"The kitchens are just across from here, you can see them clearly." He pointed to a large portal where one could see a glowing light radiating from it. "The Haven of Light has many secrets. Much of which I do not know. Most of this wing itself is a mystery. Be careful if you wish to explore, for danger can indeed lurk in the unknown.<BR><BR>"Now, by your leave." Istari bowed. "I must leave you to your own devices. There is much to be done still..."

thank you, very much, Istari.<BR><BR>*Mithamarth now wandered toward a room on the right side of the entrance, towards the northern end. he pushed open the door slowly and gently, entering in and found it lavish enough for his taste. disrobing himself of his long grey cloak, and laying it along a small table which stood against a wall to the left of the entrance, he gazed about the simple, but mysterious room. all of the surrounding walls were white, with one, light-colored, wooden pillar holding the center of the ceiling up, which was of the same fabric and texture. there was a window upon the wall to his left, underneath which a bed was set, against the wall beneath the window. at the foot of this bed was setting the small table which he had lain his cloak upon, made of this same exact wood, and shaped in circular motions as the pillar and ceiling panels., as he now removed his light shoes, and slid them underneath. the floor was carpeted with a light grey plushness, that he graced his feet upon towards the bed. the right side of the room contained nothing, but a small, silver lamp was upon the wall, and eminated lightly forth into the room, beautifully.<BR><BR>Mithamarth was very weary, he stretched forth his body and then laid himself down upon the soft bedding prepared for him. as he did so, the silverish light dimmed itself magically, and without hint of any manual operation. Mithamarth smiled and closed his eyes.<BR><BR>it had indeed been long since he had felt the pleasure of such a bed, and soon drifted off into his own dreams, as the moon passed over head.*

Lossë knelt on the hearthstone, gazing into the fires that burned there. A choice she must make, which of the Valar to study under. Manwë would be good for his joy was the air and the creatures that traveled through it, creatures that included dragons. Or Varda, for she governed the stars that shone their light upon Middle Earth and plucked the strings of her elven soul.<BR><BR>Perhaps Aulë, master of the forge and the greatest craftsman. She could gain much from study with him and increase her own creative skills. Hwesta too could benefit from such a discipleship, gaining skill in the conjuring of gems. Maybe the master of the hunt, Oromë, or his wife Vana.<BR><BR>Lossë could not decide but she knew that this decision was one that would guide the rest of her life. It was not something to be rushed or hurried. She must search her soul and her memories, something there must help to guide her in this choice.<BR>___________________________________________<BR><BR>Except, did we ever relly figure out what our powers were? We created our realms and then we started the RP which was meant to explain how we acquired the powers but we never did any real discussion of what our powers or abilities were.

<i>Amanvilyaien stepped gingerly through the great arches that led into the foyer of the Haven of Light. The beauty, magnificence, and sheer power of the place overwhelmed her. It reminded her of her youth in Imladris. She slipped the hood of her dark green, weather-stained cloak from her head, revealing delicate, but learned features. Tendrils of her knee-length black waves wisped about her face as she stood in awe. She had come as soon as she heard the summons. She longed greatly to study under Varda, for although she was learned in herb-lore and medicine, her heart and first love was with that of the celestial beings in the vast sky.</i><BR><BR><i>She looked around, noticing a few others meandering throughout the room, but no sign of he whose voice called her. She glanced about the room and then decided to sit on a low stool near the great, roaring fireplace. She removed her cloak and pinned up her hair, feeling the heat of the golden flames lap at her like a veritable ocean of warmth. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply with wonderment and waited patiently for her summoner.</i><BR><BR>(OOC: Hey there! As Istari sat in his room, he noticed that the floor was a foot below him. Silver lights shone about him, sparkling about in prismatic beams that shimmered against the white walls. Runes displayed about them as if it were parchment, ancient words they were beyond his understanding. He had seen them many times before, and knew that they were important in his destiny.<BR><BR>Suddenly, he felt another presence in the Haven, one who admired the stars he could see. This person's eyes always drifted toward the sky, for that was all he could see in his mind. Eyes were the windows to the soul, and he had that access at the least. With a flick of his wrist, Istari transported himself from the central room, its light dimming before he disappeared. His body reappeared before the door of the central hall. He breathed deeply before he opened the door.<BR><BR>What he saw was another worn figure sitting upon the hard marble floor. He walked slowly up to her, resting his hand upon her shoulder.<BR><BR>"Welcome to the Haven of the Light, child." He said with a smile. "I am Istariquendi, shall we seat you in a more comfortable chair?"

<i>Amanvilyaien felt herself slipping into a deep serenity that was all too familiar when she gazed at the stars. She jumped suddenly when she felt a strong hand lightly touch her shoulder. She sighed with relief when she realized that it was her summoner, Istariquendi. She turned to him in response.</i><BR><BR>"Hail, friend. My name is Amanvilyaien," she began, a soft smile upon her lips. "If indeed it is not inconvenient to yourself, more comfortable arrangements are desired. A softer seat perhaps, but no less a view of the stars, if you please."

*Mithamarth had lain long with his eyes open, for he was still an Elf, of the Sindarin race, closely akin to Elwë, therefore schooled in thought by Melian the Maia. he at first laid with his eyes closed, due to the amount of weariness he held. now he was slightly better rested, although it had only been three or four hours since he had laid down to rest, so he slept in the normal Elf-fashion: eyes-open. this mysterious island had an amazing power of recuperation upon it, and he felt marvelously rested. he now heard voices coming from outside his door in the courtyard. as he sat up from his bed, he found that new clothes had been lain on the table next to his own cloak, which seemed to be cleaner and shinier than it had been when he had set it down, as if a magical glimmer had flown through its tresses, curing it of all wear. the clothes placed there now were glowing white, but the cuffs of these were colored a silverish grey, which glittered in the light which now grew from the side of his room. upon the cuffs were shown large grey buttons, about an inch in diameter, and the same white button lined the middle of his shirt, buttoning it together.<BR><BR>he now reclothed himself in these clothes, which fit him perfectly. tying a drawstring to fit his pants to his waist, he was now basking in the silver light and glowed forth within his new clothing. he folded up his older clothing, and set it underneath the table neatly. there were his shoes, which he put on as he picked up his cloak gently. he moved it in front of his eyes slowly, and it shimmered before him.<BR><BR>as he opened up his door, he pulled it around himself as he was accustomed to doing, and slowly walked into the center of the courtyard, as he looked up into the starlit sky. he overheard a few words from his host, Istariquendi, and an Elf who named herself Amanvilyaien, and who was shod in a deep, beautiful green. he approached those twain now, and stood beside them, looking up above - *<BR><BR>lovely isn't it?<BR><BR>*he smiled and peered down at Amanvilyaien who was sitting upon what looked like a softened chair. he said quietly and softly to her - *<BR><BR>i am called, Mithamarth. i heard you name yourself as Amanvilyaien, which is beautiful indeed. may i sit?<BR><BR>*he pointed towards a similar seat across from her.*<BR><BR>evening, Istari.

<i>Amanvilyaien was sitting on a small, more comfortable bench, almost a lounge chair of sorts, gazing into the night sky, it's opaqueness pierced infinitely with tiny orbs of light that seemed to speak to her. She was engaged in light conversation with Istari whence an Elf approached her from another room, calling himself Mithamarth. He was dressed splendidly in garments of silver and white. She smiled up at him warmly, motioning towards the bench across from her.</i><BR><BR>"Welcome, Mithamarth," Amanvilyaien said softly. "Indeed it is a beautiful evening. And how dost thee fare at this hour of our meeting?"<BR><BR>(OOC: My character doesn't use such formal English all the time, just when she meets people for the first time <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>)

*Mithamarth smiled at her, and sat down. the seat was very comfortable, as he was feeling right now. his new clothing was very soft but it felt very alien to him, as he had been wearing his wayworn clothing for some time now. the last leg of his journey which had brought him here was very tiring, as he was much older now, but since entering upon this wondrous place, he felt almost young again, as he had not felt in some time. he now spoke in return - *<BR><BR>i feel very refreshed, this place seems to be sort of magical, though it is mysterious. it is a pleasure to meet with you. i hope you are feeling well this beautiful evening. are you?
