-Mariners Guild- Sailing to New Horizons!

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

LOL Saelind, great to see you aboard again too . . . and I agree with both you and Luthy . . . buuuuuuut . . . if we leave them tied to the plank, does that mean they are required to "go down with the ship" when we sink this one in favour of the new one?

Something tells me they may not be too happy about that . . . ;)

Muah hahahahahahaha . . . =:):D:D

You're probably right, they probably wouldn't be too happy.

But you have to prioritize. What's more important, their happiness or our amusement? =:)

LOL I wonder when we are going to be moving to the new ship? Well it will be hard to see this one go but I am looking forward to having a biger sleeping area. That way I don't have to smell other peoples stinky feet. :)

There'll be a bigger sleeping area in the new ship? Oh goody :D

(I bet I'll have to sleep somewhere tiny and cramped, because I'm newest, right?:P)

I hope that the sleeping area is a lot biger most of our ship is sleeping. I don't think that you will get a small area I think you should get a big area because you are so nice.

Heh. Glanced at the previous page and found that I was still being talked about...a year ago.

I doubt that any new blood would be minded at all. However, I also doubt that there's many of this guild still around. I talk to a few (Ithy, for example) on occasion, and they've mostly left the site.

This is essentially a ghost ship now. Pity, really.

Ditto. I don't subscribe to threads anymore. I made the mistake of subscribing to the original MNT. Good GOD!

As for my part, doing well enough. Distracting myeslf from work at the moment when I REALLY shouldn't be, doing my bi-annual ducking around the boards and whatnot.

I am doing the same thing I am suposted to be working too. I don't have internet at home so I am on line when I am at work. What kind of work do you do? I am an Auto Cad drafter at a Surveying and Engineering company.

Wow... that's a bummer. :cry2:

As a sailor, I thought this would be the best place for me. But an abandoned ship is going nowhere (at least nowhere on track).

§ol-I am also still in Collage. I work part time during school and then full time in the summer. I am working on a degree in Civil Engineering, and one day I hope to get my masters but it looks like it won't be for a while. What are you going to collage for? What is your honors thesis about?

Mr_Slcie- :) It is nice to see you here. I hope that this is going to pick up agine soon so you can stick around if you want. :)

Cool Hand Luke is the main character in a film of the same name. There's a link in my post above (the Metatron one). Paul Newman plays Luke. He bets his fellow inmates that he can eat "fifty egg"; the pic in my sig is of him trying to eat 50 eggs.

Gil! :x

You can always count on Gil to mock you mercilessly somewhere when you may or may not be around to see it. Pathetic. B^

:P

Yes, I'm still around, but I'm not exactly a Mariner anymore... :'( ;)

Oh well, another 4000 posts and I'll be one again B^B^B^

Hey, I'm using the RL definition of Mariner. I read somewhere that you were on a boat on Lake Michigoose once, so you qualify. ;)

:P

And 4000 posts will take you what? 40 days? :thppt:

Yeah. Once she got her status symbol she slowed down a lot. It might take her even 41 day to get the next mariner shield now.

*runs away with Gilatron*

I came in here on the supposition that this is a 'real Mariner' thread.

Is it? As in seafaring mariners?
