The White Tower is the continuation of the Anti-Mordor League, known affectionately as the AML. The AML existed in two threads, the original was closed due to size, and the second was started by Denethor, and was unfortunately not long lived.

Let me start this off by defining the dark alliances:

Angband
Easterling
Haradrim
Minas Morgul
Mordor
Saruman

If you are part of any of the above alliances, you may not join, save for our target practice.

Exceptions to the membership rule may be alloted from time to time at my discretion. Based on the judgement of thread originator, a poster who has turned to darkness may, on a case by case business, be permitted to join the thread.

Persons entering this guild must swear to uphold the ideals of honor and right, and to enrich the experiences of others at TORC however they are able.

Ranks are alotted by

(1) Postcount of member:
1-50: Page
51-100: Squire
101-499: Knight
500-999: Tower Guard
1000-4999: Lord/Lady of Gondor
5000-9999: Steward of Gondor
10,000+: Heir of Isildur

(2) Contests, Roleplaying

Those who choose to post poetry and or rp can also be moved up through the ranks more quickly. To encourage thoughtful rping, certain criteria will be developed for how many 'points' an rp post is worth. Considerations will include post length, developed characters and dialogue, spelling, grammar and mechanics, and other factors. A poster can earn points for exhibiting certain characteristics, even if other characteristics are lacking in that post. Points will not be alloted unless it is stipulated ahead of time that the members will receive points for their participation.

History and Description of the White Tower

The tower loomed over all of Gonder, built by King Calimethar in TA 1900 and rebuilt by the Steward Ecthelion I in 2698. It is known for the Tower Hall, largest and most magnificent of its many rooms and for its defenses: an inner and outer gate with portcullis. None can enter without the knowledge of the inhabitants. To minimize weakness and to protect those who dwell there, the infamous palantir has been locked away in a secret place.
