Fans of Too Many Things: Guild for those with too many interests

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

lol

I tried to go to the Ren Faire down in Manteo, NC last November for the weekend, but it didn't really work out well....*sigh* Ah well...I didn't have my dress finished anyway, either...or, for that matter, started. :P

new interest! Playing Final Fantasy VIII on my computer, AND playing Chocobo World instead of Solitaire all the time!! ^_^

Uhhhhhh.....that's all I can think of....

OH! Last Halloween, my two best friends and I went to McDonald's after the party at my dad's base, and we were still in costume....I had my face painted and was wearing a cloak, one friend had on a dress I'd made her with a leather coat, and my other friend had on a blue robe I'd made, too....I think that was how it went. *shrugs* But some weirdly dressed people were giving us looks....especially when Lauren kissed the Ronald McDonald thing for a full minute for a dollar. ^_^

Welcome Tweak:) Ooh, mountain biking is fun! Sadly, I don't get out a lot, and it is boring biking where I live. Last summer I finally got out into a nice area, and biked 17 miles in a Very hilly area of Wisconsin. Sadly, I was feeling like crap so it wasn't too much fun. This summer/Spring will be a good time for me to start biking again. Actually, I have to start running as well.

I like Colby. Anyone got any of that?

Heheh, my mom likes Michael Crichton. She's reading State of Fear right now, and I was discussing global warming with her. :D

Liberal politics, eh? How exactly do you define that?

Yay for Star Wars! I assume you've seen the new trailer, then?

My new interest is hiding from a certain person on campus. So far, it's not going too well. *Hides in deep, dark corner with her colby cheese*

I like colby-jack. And cheddar-jack and pepper-jack are good too. Mmm, spicy. *takes her jack cheeses and hides from all the scary cheese-mongers*

I haven't seen the new Star Wars trailer yet. I'll go see it, just because, you know, Darth Vader, but I hope it's better than Ep. II because the only thing worth watching in that entire movie was the 5 minutes of Yoda with a lightsaber. :P I'm a bit more excited about Hitchhiker's Guide at the moment anyway.

42!! Towels! My inner peanut! :D Ok, only Luthy and Nen will get the last one. Speaking of which, I was telling Jennifer about it in the sub line at Kleiner, and the guy making my sub says: "Did you just say 'My inner peanut' ?" It was hilarious!!

As is the thread name,
so is the problem.
Too many irons
in a very small fire.
Not enough butter
to spread on the loaf,
too many tasks
in twenty-four hours.
...oh look!
The time!
Bye!

Hi Parm!!

Dunthule- Welcome!

I don't have the money to buy a new book right now, and I don't know when I will have the chance to go to the library. You know, I think Robert has that book..maybe I can borrow it from him.

New interest! The "Block" button on AIM!! Grrrrr...... VEEEERRRRRYYYYY mad at a certain someone, who has "SNs coming out of his ears" and insists that he likes me after I've been really mean to him and told him repeatedly "I have no desire to hold speech with him." Very soon, I'm gonna tell him to shove it all where the sun don't shine! Any suggestions on how to get rid of unwanted attention? This was us twenty minute ago: :argue: Here he is now:  ARRRGGH!!! *is about to go medieval*

Cheeeese...I hate American cheese, though. I'll eat it on a sandwich, but I canNOT stand it plain. I used to be able to when I was younger, but now it disgusts me. *shudder* I LOOOOVE Mozzerella on my spaghetti, I love cheddar, monterey jack, and a few other cheeses I don't remember the name of. :P I would make a comment about wine, but that would be confessing the underage drinking I may have done in the past. Actually, they're quite good together.

Anyway....

I refuse to go anywhere near a bicycle, due to a terrible crash I was in when I was 8. Quite a traumatizing situation that had my stomach scratched up for weeks. Owies...and bruises....*shudder*

ANNNNYhow....no new REAL interests, so onto the welcome wagon!

Welcome, Dunthule! To clear up things first, male or female? It's quite annoying to be gender confused, on either the giving or receiving end. The guitar, I can relate with. It's so fun! Stargazing I love....TORC, lazy driving, music, reading....yes, this is a good thread to make friends in. ^_^ To echo Sil, what type of music?

Howdy Eve and Parm!

I haven't heard of the Hitchhiker's book, but since I've heard nothing bad about it here, it must be good. What's it on? Quick and witty remarks?

It's actually a story about a guy who's hitchhiking in the galaxy... I thought it was a life-lessons book until Luthy explained it to me. :D Apparently it's very good.

Any story that's filled with quotes like "The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't" has to be worth reading at least once. Especially since it's a 5-book "trilogy". :D
