Teens of Eru - Guild for Christian Teens

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

Well this post is late huh. Christmas... had dinner with the family. you've heard about the rest. New Years went out with friends, into town and bars and a club so altogether a new and weird experience, but we all only had one drink, and the rest of what we drank was coke.
I'm off to my cousins wedding,

Happy new year

Hello, everyone!

1. Shrimp or pasta. Orrrrr shrimp pasta! ^.^
2. Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (R.I.P.)
3. Writing
4. Hmmm, right now... The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
5. Elf I would hope
6. Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene
7. Rook, Rookie (Haha very funny), Rooky, Rok (both on accident and purpose).

If I were in ME... I'd probably be an everyday Elf. Nothing special. Not a heroic warrior meant to save the world. I'd just be. I would write in the treetops of the forest Elves.

In real life, right now my life consists of two Bible studies at church plus regular church attendance, talking with my girlfriend who lives in a different state (we met online), and writing in the middle of the night. I've also just started getting back into gaming. I have a LOT of systems. And well that's pretty much it.

If this thread is dead, I understand. But I wanted to drop by just in case. :D

1. What is your fav. food? Noodles

2. What is your fav. candy/pop?I dislike candy for the most part, but since the question is being asked I'll have to go with fruit slices.

3. What is your fav. activity? Well, that's a rather vast question. I enjoy doing a lot of things, including imagining, criticizing (a unique hobby o' mine), laughing, and of course reading, but that list is jsut a sample.. :o

4. What is your fav. movie? (if it's LOTR what's your 2nd fav.?) The Butterfly Effect, I guess. But to the honest I don't usually remember many movies after I've watched them

5. If you were in ME what would you be? As shocking as it sounds, I wouldn't like going to ME. I think it would be the end of me.

6. What church do you go to? Christin Academy, 'nuff said.

7. What are your nicknames?(for your username) Golly? GG? Honestly, I don't care at all, call me whatever you want, as long as it's clean.

This Awesome Time

All you who step into this place,
some wreathed in smiles that bless your face,
some burdened by your daily cares,
some struck by sorrow unawares,
some dancing with unbridled joy,
some sighing at their grim employ,
come sit awhile and by this rhyme,
enjoy this truly awesome time.
This time where something great and grand
lifts up the cold, forgotten hand,
and places in it, like a rope,
a lifeline to some bright new hope;
this time when we can celebrate
the good in here we helped create,
the whismy, laughter, healing cheer,
such hugs! A place to shed a tear.
All these are heightened by this time,
though darkened, often, by that crime
that seeks to steal our joy away--
but Night shall yield to Endless Day.
So come and join our carolling,
and let your soul rejoice and sing.
Oh, come and pull that festive cork,
and toast to awesomeness at TORC!

A Happy Christmas to you All,
Each thread, each guild, each noble hall,
May each one have a solid reason,
to celebrate this splendid season!

Parm :)

1. Pasta or meat. it's a tie...
2. Reese's Cups. hands down.
3. Reading. EVERYTHING!
4. I'm not sure I have a favorite...Pride&Prejudice perhaps, the new version.
5. Eowyn. Curly-haired horse loving woman of Rohan.
6. Independent Baptist
7. I have no nicknames yet....

To expand a little, I'm an older teen. My dad's a baptist pastor. I'm from the US. I will be going to Bible College in the fall. I love LOTR. And reading in general. :) I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Nice to meet you, Eilowny. :hihi:

Sadly, this thread is all but dead, so I wouldn't hold my breath to actually get to know anyone here. This thread here ( http://forums.theonering.com/viewforum.php?f=24 ) is a ton more active, and although it's mostly full of older fans, it's very easily to get along with them. :) They're very friendly and kind and all-accepting.

Thanks for posting, however. And what a coincidence that you like Pride & Prejudice. I just came back from getting the DVD to watch tonight. ;)

Thanks for the tip Gollum Girl! I'll be sure to check it out.

I keep meaning to watch the old BBC version, but Keira Knightley and Matthew McFayden are sooooooo good! Hope you enjoy it! :)
