Teens of Eru - Guild for Christian Teens

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

Hello, this is OlorinWhite, and I want to join this guild. Below are the answers to the questionare.
1. Roast Chicken
2. Herb Tea
3. Lord of The Rings Roleplaying Game, Writing
4. The Matrix Movies
5. I am a Wizard
6. I do not belong to a church, other than the Universe.

Middle-Earth Bio: I am one of the Wizards from across the Sea, and I use all of my means to oppose the Dark Lord. I travel, like Gandalf, and find special friendship with Dwarves. But anyone of the Free Peoples readily finds my aid if they are on quests that oppose Sauron.

Personal Bio: I myself am an avid reader of fantasy, especially Tolien, and spend much time writing stories of similar kind on my computer. As of yet, I do not belong to a Roleplaying club, but being a writer, I have lots of good ideas for Chronicles, and good characters. As for religion, I belong to a Homegroup of friends that believe certain things about God and the Universe. I am a fervent follower of the One God who is the Father of All, and try to recognize him in everything that exists. We have a father-son relationship, and I love him greatly, and thus I love everyone, for we are all his children.
God Bless us, Everyone,
OlorinWhite

Pip, yes, I do believe he was! A fact, I'm sure that many Haldir lovers find saddening. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> So you're going to a lock-in tonight? So am I! I'll be sure to pray for her!

Olorin, just out of curiousity, do you believe in the trinity? God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit? In Jesus being the Christ, the Son of God, and the only way to Heaven? I'm not trying to slam you or anything, just trying to ascertain something.

Namarie!
~Alassemiire Arineel

Hi, OlorinWhite! I'd be delighted to hear more about your beliefs. I'm Roman Catholic myself, but I always like to learn from other people's perspectives.

Since you love RPing and writing so much, why don't you stop by the Prancing Pony or the Green Dragon (be sure to read the guidelines at the top of each forum first thing)? There are many different stories to choose from. In those forums, it's not like normal D&D-type roleplaying--it's a collaborative storywriting effort. I'm in quite a few and it's amazing fun. Hope to see you there sometime!

--Aiwe

OlorinWhite,

Actually, Arineel, I would say that: He is saved who believes that Christ is born in the flesh (every man). Also, I would quote from Ephesians: ". . . just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame, before Him in Love, having predestined us to adooption as sons by Jesus Chist to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His Grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins(falling short of His glory), according to the riches of his grace which He made to abound toward us in all widdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all thing in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the councel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory."
Basically, I believe in the restituion of All Things. And to whom was Jesus speaking when he said, "You are the Chist!"? Would not that leave you feeling utterly at peace?
Feel free to talk to me more about this issue, and I will happily answer any question you might have in that area. Just let these thoughts into your mind without judgement, and listen to your inner voice.
Sincerely, OlorinWhite

Keep praying though, maybe she'll get REEEALLLLY better!!

sugaplum, forgot to mention that ME is the abbreviation (or however you spell that gosh dang bloody word) for Middle-Earth. So much simpler saying Me, rather than the long, drawn out version.

Pip

oh...before I forget...
Olorin...why was your message addressed to me?! Actually, Pip, I would say that... what'd I do?1 What'd I do?!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

1. What is your fav. food? I am really liking Oriental right now, but it can change any given moment.

2. What is your fav. candy/pop? MOUNTAIN DEW!!! I don't know about candy, it's all so good.

3. What is your fav. activity? I like writing and I'm also very involved in choir, having had acting parts in musicals and singing parts in small groups as well as the choir itself.

4. What is your fav. movie? Well, since my first fave is ROTK my second would have to be...The Princess Diaries.

5. If you were in ME what would you be? An Elf of Valinor

6. What church do you go to? Calvary Chapel of St. Louis County

In Middle-earth I am Gwathrenethir Nirenthir, a Guardian of the Hope of the People. I am a friend of Alassemiire Arineel, another Guardian. I am Telerin. I was at the Kinslaying and it was there that the love of my life, Thirgil Tar-Alquandil, had his life torn from him. He died in my arms and I sought Nienna, hoping to come by her council and peace. It was then that I took on the name 'Nirethir' which means 'River of Weeping'. Before I reached Nienna I met Manwë, who listened with kindness to my story and gave me the gift of wings to speed me to my destination. I went to the Holls of Nienna and she sent me to Middle-earth to bring hope to those in Gondolin. After it was destroyed, I haven't decided what I did. Alassemiire and I have to work on it, since we are friends in RL and have made our characters closely related, she being the cousin of Thirgil, and a friend of mine.

In RL I am a homeschooler and I do many activities including Awana, Choir, and a Drama troupe. Arineel and I are friends and we enjoy working together on our ME lives as well as our real ones. It was she that told me about this particular guild. I spend a lot of time on TORC, and the computer in general.

I believe in the Godhead, that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three and one. I believe Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose again to save the world from sin and the punishment of it, which is eternity in Hell away from God. I believe that those who believe this will join the Lord in Heaven to be with Him forever.
Okey doke. At the top of this page on the right-hand side, above the black title bar, there should be a scroll-down menu with a label next to it that says Categories:. Up near the top of the list, underneath "Welcome!" should be a listing labeled "Adoptions". Click on that one, read the thread at the top of the forum, choose an adopter, and then post in the thread of that adopter. Make sense? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Or did I confuse you more?

--Aiwe

Hello all and welcome to all newcomers! I shall try to get your names in the member's list. My parents have been kicking me off every time I got on for a while. I was going to do St. Lucia's day on the 18th but I couldn't find a white dress. For thoese of you who don't know what St. Lucia's day is: It's celabrated (sp?) in Sweeden, early on the 18th the oldest girl gets up and serves the family breakfast in bed; to remember St. Lucia who help many people by bringing them coffee and bread early in the morning.
Any way I'm really glad you all stoped by and wish you a Merry Christmas.
~LadyL~

I have no clue what I'm doing for christmas, other than staying home and opening presents.

My dad and I, after christmas, are going to buy each other a present, and then wrap it up, and set it in full veiw of each other and see who can stand it the longest. Whoever opens their present first looses.

Thus, I'm gonna be mean, and get him a card, put it in an envelope, put some bubble wrap around it, stick it in a small box, seal it tight, put it in a slightly larger box with lots of plasted bags, seal it, put it in a LARGER box with lots of bags, plastic and paper, seal it real tight. Wrap it in wraping paper, put it in another box (really big box) tons of paper and plastic bags, seal it, wrap it in some more wrapping paper, and decor it nice and perty. I'm sure he's gonna do the same thing. fight fire with fire, eh? Oh, and the bet is ten bucks, not much, but all well. I'm happy <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>, I just hope my curiosity won't get the better of me...

fun, eh?

Hello all, just popping in for a little while. Christmas? I am staying home with my family. No one's coming or anything. Hmmm...

Hello Shieldmaiden_Pippin, we have never actually formally met, so I figure, good time as any. Hello!!!! Can I call you Pippi? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Ok, glad to get that out of my system. I know have this urge to introduce myself formally to people I have seen around but not actually talked to. Hope you didn't mind Shieldmaiden_Pippin(Pippi!).

Well, I be a going now, but want to hear a joke while I am here?(Hope this won't affend any of you, it really shouldn't, but just in case).

George W. Bush was waiting at an Airport and he sees Moses. "Moses!" He calls out, but the man doesn't answer. "I know that is Moses," he thinks to himself, and calls out again. "Moses!" Still no answer. Finally Bush goes up to Moses, and says" I know you are Moses, why didn't you answer when I called you?" Moses answered " the last time I talked to a Bush, I wandered around the desert for 40 years."

Badumdump. I supposed it is an American joke(sort of) but I am going to keep it on there anyway.

I have a prayer request too, if you guys don't mind <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>. My sheltie dog Bonnie is going in to surgery tommorrow to have some benign tumors removed. This will be her fifth surgery for this condition, and she always comes home hurting. Could you please remember her in your prayers or at church or Mass? Thank you. She's such a sweetheart, but she doesn't understand why she hurts. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-crying.gif"border=0> She's only about 2 years old, too.

--Aiwe
