Teens of Eru - Guild for Christian Teens

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

I'll pray for your sister, suga. It's sad when that happens, one of my sister's god friends shot him self about 6 years ago. It always hard when it's our family members' friend, all we can do is be there for them and pray.

Pip

Hey guys...nice to see some new people in here. Sounds like you guys are going to have nice Christmases. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> I have a prayer request:

My friend's grandpa was pretty healthy and didn't seem to have any health complications. Four days ago he apparently had a stroke in the kitchen of his house where he lives alone. Anyway, he fell down, broke bones, and got cut. Since he couldn't get up he was lying there alone for three days before someone noticed that his papers weren't picked up. They found him in there lying in his blood. Hes very sick and probably wont make it till Christmas. Even if he does, he will never hear or see again. He may even be paralyzed. So anyway my friend and her family need serious prayer because during the Christmas season they're going through a lot. Just pray that he knew Christ while he was living because no one in her family really knows.

Thanks guys <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Hilarious joke Tari <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Hey everybody, I have a last minute request:

My sister was scheduled to sing at the first two Christmas Eve services at my church (we have four services- 5, 7, 9, and 11 o'clock), but she got sick yesterday and asked me today if I would do it. I looked at the music and said I would do it, but I'm really nervous. I have been singing in front of people for years, but never under such short notice- please pray that it goes well- thanks <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Evenstar_of_Imladris

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers for Bonnie! She's feeling better today--still crying now and then, but she's acting herself more--bright and ready to bark at the mail-carrier. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> I knew she was going to pull through when she came home from surgery still groggy and bumping into things, but within a half-hour she would come running at the sound of the refrigerator door opening. That's my Bonnie lass! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

LadyLariaien, thank you for creating this guild for us. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> It's great to be able to feel like I can help, at least a little bit, with prayer, and to know that you guys will be there if I need some prayers myself. So thank you, and thank you to all the friendly, accepting people who make this guild special. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

--Aiwe

Olorin, I do not quite understand your meaning in the post where you quoted scripture. Yes, Jesus was born in the flesh, but he was alive for eternity before that. He came to earth as a baby, lived a perfect life, fully God, fully man. You can't understand it, since it is a mystery of God, and we were not made to be able to comprehend all of God and His works, since we are humans, and He is God. The Bible clearly states that you must believe ON Jesus Christ, what He did for us.

Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household."

Salvation has been offered to us by God in His grace. It's a free gift that we don't deserve. We have to accept that gift by believing on Jesus - Him as the Son of God, our Saviour, who came down to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again the third day, and 40 days later ascended into heaven. Jesus wasn't just man, He is, was, and evermore shall be God. You can't just believe in who He is, you have to believe on Him, place you faith in Him, to recieve salvation. As Jesus said, even the demons believe that He is God, but they are not saved. They know and believe that Jesus is the Christ, but that doesn't make them Christians. What do you mean, Jesus saying, "You are the Christ!"? I have read the four gospels recently, and I only recall Peter ever saying something like that to Jesus. Jesus is the Christ.

"But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name." - John 20:31

My initial point was that no one can have a relationship with God without having accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour into their heart.

John 14:6 - "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

This is what I believe. That Jesus is the Son of God, one part of three in the Trinity. Because sin entered into the world, and we are born with sin, we were separated from God forever. But God wanted us to be with Him, so He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to earth. Jesus came as a baby, lived a sinless life, and therefore did not deserve death. But Jesus was put to death for us, taking on all of our sins on himself, that we might be with Him. He was the perfect sacrifice, the lamb of God, and Jesus died the most painful, shameful, and humiliating death that has or will ever take place. He was buried, three days later, He rose from the dead. Throughout the course of Fourty days Jesus appeared to His disciples. After Fourty days, Jesus ascended back into heaven. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. When Jesus died and rose again, He conquered death. The devil was defeated. During His life here on earth, Jesus was tempted in every way, and rejected temptation, He never fell. One day He shall return and take possesion of His kingdom, as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Then all who have believed on Him, and placed their faith in Him as their Lord and Saviour, shall be taken to heaven with Christ. At the judgement day, God will see the blood of Christ on those who are saved, and that blood having removed our sins, we have been declared not guilty. Salvation is a free gift that we don't deserve, but out of God's love and mercy, He offers it too all. It isn't yours until you accept it, by believing on Jesus Christ, and placing your faith in Him, making Him your personal Lord and Saviour, and confessing and repenting of your sins. Here's the shortened version, which includes a little bit more that I haven't mentioned, but also believe -

"I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His Son, Our Lord.
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified dead, and buried; He decended into Hades; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit; the universal church; The Communion of Saints; The forgiveness of Sins; The resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen." - Apostles Creed

Namarie!
~Alassemiire Arineel

OlorinWhite, Getting into the Prancing Pony or Green Dragon is exactly like getting into any other forum. At the top of this page, on the right-hand side above the thick black title-bar, there is a white scroll-down menu. Click on that, scroll up to the forum you want, click on it, and you're there! Or, you can click the tab that says "Forums" on the right-hand side of the title bar, then scroll down until you find the forum you want, and then click on the link to it.

As for an Alliance, that depends upon your avatar (the picture that appears above your username on the left-hand side of each of your posts). Right now, yours is the default Blue Wizard. I'm not sure if that one has an Alliance. If you had, say, a green Fangorn banner (like me), you could join the Fangorn Alliance. The Alliance threads are all in the same forum as this thread. Click on the Forums tab, scroll down to "The Peoples of Middle-earth: Guilds and Alliances." Look around in that forum for the Alliance you want to join.

Also, if you want to become TORC-savvy real quick, I suggest you get yourself adopted. Just go to the Adoptions forum if you want to do that.

--Aiwe
