If you're from South or North Carolina, this guild's for you

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

Hi, Elrondiel! What brings you to TORC? :)

I go by BT, by the way (when I'm around, which isn't a lot lately... :P ). Do you have a nickname yet?

Thanks BT,

I overheard some people talking about the site at the movie tuesday night and thought I'd stop in and see what was here. Hearing the site mentioned reminded me that one of my roommates in London used to come here.

Oh, before I forget, again  , I go by ArwenCat.

Hey BT

I do believe we have shared thoughts before here on TORC. Good to see you again.

And well met all of my fellow Carolinians.

I was born in the Tar Heel State ( in Kinston, NC ) and now reside in the Palmetto State ( Surfside Beach..Just South Of Myrtle Beach, SC )

Proud to be a Carolinian and am glad I came across this thread.

Hey FT (you go by FT don't you? I seem to remember that... forgive me if I'm wrong  ). Yeah, I've seen you here and there... hard to miss such a venerable oldbie. ;) Didn't know you were a Carolinian though! :D

So do you get scads of tourists like Myrtle does? Or are y'all just far enough off the beaten path?

An hour and a half is screaming distance.

I have nearly 300 smilies on my photobucket and about 600 more on my computer waiting until I can find a few days free to add them to pb.

Hey BT

Yes, I go by FT...or as Effff Teeeeeee as my dear rwhen refers to me affectionately.

I do get scads of tourists near me during the summer but not quite as much as Myrtle Beach does. The Spring and Fall Bike Ralleys definitely are a rush for a couple of weeks each year.

Hello Julia...my lady in glasses. 8)

I enjoyed being tackled..especially by you. I, too, am just getting used to that other site. Always my joy to feel your presence.

{ : )

Still your acorn head.

Long has the sorrow of the Ents and their tireless search for the Entwives been known in North and South Carolina, friend; but longer still has it been since an Entwife has been seen in these lands. May your quest find its goal at last, but we can be no help.

I just spent 2 months in NC, visiting my sister, but I'm not from there. But if she moves back down there, I'll be likely to visit again in a few years!

I have been to North Carolina since my husband's grandmother and aunt and uncle live there!!! Does that count?? ;)

I think the area they live in is beautiful!!! I even got to go panning for gold and got both gold and rubies to bring home. We also got to catch fireflies which we do not have in my home state at all!!! I had never seen them before I caught them there. They are so cool!!!

I'm not "from" either, but I did spend a little over a year in Greenville, SC. I consider it "home" and would move back if things were ever right to allow me to do so, does that count? Could I maybe be an "honorary" member or something?
