- The Mariners' Guild - All the rum you can drink for free!

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

On second thought, Ithy, it seems I might be sticking around here a tad longer. They are relying a wee bit too much on cliches, methinks. ;) Always a pleasure to break in a few pirates who have only been at the trade a short time.

MUAH HAHAHAHAHAH . . . oh GOOD!! Fresh mea . . . er . . . victi . . . er . . . foes! Yes foes!

Good thing I sharpened all the swords in my spare time eh wot? ;) =:)

I could use a bit of good old slaughter and mayhem. Although it hardly seems fair with such absolute beginners, but heck, that's the way it goes sometimes on the high seas . . .

Oh dear... I really should stop shaking in my boots, shouldn't I?

By all means, Master Gloamglozer, bring it on. But if ye be having trouble with a... 'floating island' -probably deserted to boot- what makes you so confident that you won't be having trouble with an Elven vessel filled to the brim with veteran mariners? :P

Sheesh... *shakes head* Amateurs.

Hey I was only trying to fill the stereotypical pirate mould. Avast me hearties and all that. We probably wouldn't even attempt to take on your guild. Afterall we're mariners. Piratical mariners I'll give you that but we're not going to seriously harm any innocent people. We may even be friends in the furture........and pigs can fly.
See you all around.

Oi, backing out so soon?

§ol, you're still free to turn Turk, as it were, but methinks you'll find these pirates a bit mild for your tastes. ;)

Save the swords, Scribe, and bring out the pen. Here's your challenge:

2nd Mate ->1st Mate quiz:

1. Where was Alqualondë? Why was it named so?
2. What river is formed from the union of Rivers Glanduin and Hoarwell?
3. What is the Elvish name of the region formed by the rivers above?
4. What was the purpose of the Shadowy Seas?
5. Which island was it used to transport the Eldar to Aman?

E-mail is: erendisblackATgmailDOTcom

I went kinda easy, because I had to brush up my own HOME knowledge, so. :D

Ah well... and I was kinda looking forward to be attacked by pirates. :(
See you, Master Gloam... in the future as you say.

If you really want to, I'm sure we'd welcome the entertainment. In the meantime, feel free to get me some rum. ;)

Congrats on the milestone.

Its OK Sol, you can keep it if it makes you feel better. ;)

And, no, that's not exactly what I was refering to.

And now for something completely different: a man with a tape recorder up his nose...

swaggers on board with fresh cases of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and various BBQ treats . . .

What's this? A Ranger . . . er . . . a Captain, caught off his, er, her guard? Where's our Captain Ithy, eh? Probably ashore lollygagging with the lubbers . . . ;) And I did answer my First Mate quiz, but I'm still listed as Second Mate . . . hmmmmm, do I have to stage a mutiny????

Ah, well no matter. Ahoy mates!!! Let's get this tub moving, all hands to the braces! Up anchor! Up helm! Bring 'er into the wind and pile on all sail!! Um . . . and a bunch of other nautical stuff too! :D:D

§ol, perhaps it's time for a raid on the AMMM? If they're all gone, we could scale the walls and pilfer to our hearts content. At the very least, we could offer them oldtoby as a hostage . . . What say you? =:)

Sooooooo, rum and roast boar for the POTC2 screening? All hands in favour, say AYE!

:D:D:D
