- The Mariners' Guild - All the rum you can drink for free!

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

They're starting up a flet? Hmmmm, well, I'm not sure what an elvish tree dwelling platform has to do with Corsairs or Mariners . . . mayhap we should clap the intruder in irons and throw 'er into the brig until the Captain returns?

Ooooorrr, we could make 'er walk the plank!

Ooooooorrrr, we could just relax and have a few Rum drinks and let the Captain decide whenever she gets here . . .

snags the rum from TWT . . . Don't make me have to ask "but why is there no rum?" ;):P

Well, and it's grand to see you (and that lovely sig pic ;) ) in here again too Robin. :D

Gurtholfin, I do believe that "that Ithy Character" is still Captain, though she goes AWOL on us once in a while. Actually, the entire crew goes AWOL on an alarmingly regular basis.

Maybe Robin's got the right idea. We need to muster the crew and go RAIDING!! Muah hahahahahaha . . . *cough*hack*

See, this guild sounds really interesting but I will have to do some heavy research before I can answer the questions in the OP! I am almost able to join as an honourary guild member mind. And hey I will do anything for free rum!

Geesh...

Postby Vingilot » Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:15 pm

I leave for a little while, okay maybe it was for a couple of years, and this whole guild goes to hell.

It's not my fault, I have been out on the raging main, drinking rum and gathering stories.

Is there anyone left to tell them too????

Scribbles is present and accounted for!! Although I have to admit, I've been a lazy, scurvy dog for the last few months . . .

It's good to see you returned! Did you bring us any treasure? Or at the very least, some rum?

I've got rum from around the world, and baubles too, and a few other things too that we won't mention, which I am sure will make their way around the ship soon enough...

Well, if it's a flu bug or an exotic form of new cold, please keep it!! But I'd love to have a look see at the baubles . . . and you just know that all the rum has to be sampled, to ensure it's safe to drink, of course. ;)

And if no one else shows up, we get it all!! muah hahahahahaha . . . :evilaugh:

Well, it appears that only you and I are left who have any appetite for rum and booty so while you pour us each a double I will split the loot.

Ivory from India, gold and silk from China, jade from Japan and diseases from Thailand, all split evenly between the two of us. Arrrr!!

Silk, did you say? Is it the nubby kind? What color?

*holds out mug* Please sir, can I have some more rum? *puppy dog eyes*

<Keeps a wide berth of those diseases from Thailand..>

Can I be an honorary guild member? I know the answers to the questions, but don't want to e-mail them to someone who isn't really around much any more.....

As Ving pours three more doubles...

Well, well, well Scribbles, I knew once I brought out the goods the sandcrabs would start coming out of the woodwork...

Let's see who else is tempted by my tales of the Orient...

Ah, well, thanks for the stuff, but you can keep ALL the diseases . . . no, no don't thank me, I'm just generous that way . . . ;) And thanks for the rum!

Hey Mith! I believe you became an honourary member the instant you earned that lovely blue spikey wheelie thingy, afloatin' so pretty above your name there . . . ;)

Welcome aboard! If Ithy was here she'd probably make you swab the deck, but I don't think that'll be necessary just yet. I think we should finish sampling Ving's rum, eh wot? I mean, there seems to be an awful lot of it . . .

That sounds good to me, Scribbles. But no, seriously, I can answer the questions. I don't have to coast on...on...whatever was I talking about?

LOL! looks suspiciously in her own cup :D

Oh, I didn't mean you couldn't answer the questions! I'm very sure you have all the answers perfectly correct. What I meant was, either way, you've earned a membership . . . okay, maybe I should stop now before the hole gets any deeper? :D

Maybe we should just sit back, swill rum and enjoy the sunset. That's easy enough and I'm sure we could both use a bit of relaxation . . . ;)

Ving gets a little nostalgic and goes to grab a mop, however he has had too much rum for such a task and gets lost. Eventually he forgets what he was after and returns to pour three more doubles.

Lost eh? What, take a wrong turn at the cable tier? Good thing you didn't stay lost, have you seen the size of the rats down there? ;)

At least you didn't end up tied to the plank like our friend §ol . . . speaking of whom, ahoy mate!! How's life in the evil lane?
