The NZ Guild 3 - Want to talk to some Kiwi's

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

Hey Tyg! It's been a long time!
That would have been quite an experience :|
I imagine the whole of Christchurch and environs didn't just pack up and leave I guess. Not sure I would be prepared to to just leave either if it happened in my city. But maybe you're all nuts :P

And wow, you have a son! Your first child?
(Aren't we getting old!?)

Ha, well I know i'm getting old....yes he is my first child and already 9 months old.

Actually they reckon about 25000 people have so far left Christchurch never to return, but in a city of 400000 I suppose thats not too bad. However the devastation of the cbd is shocking, pics cant fully appreciate it, people really need to see it with their own eyes like oi did a few weeks back....it takes your breath away. An area the size of probably 1000 football feilds is to be completely flattened by bulldozers

They grow fast :) Every time I go back to my hometown I'm amazed at how quickly my old friends' kids have grown since the last time!

Christchurch must be a little surreal at the moment. That's a big area marked for bulldozing! I imagine the same thing happening in Brisbane and it's hard to get my head round it. We had the floods, but this far after that there's not much trace left (aside from the suburbs that were hit the worst I guess).
After the tsunami in Japan I was talking to some of my friends who have lived over there and they were in similar shock seeing places they used to live in and walk through on the way to work devastated. Until you see it happen first hand I guess it's not real, just pictures on a tv screen.

Well the Rugby World Cup has got off to a spectacular start on Friday, this is what will be holding a lot of peoples attention for the next six weeks.

I just feel a sense of pride in the way that Aotearoa/New Zealand gave a stirring and rousing welcome to every country participating in this event.

Hey Kiwis! How's it going over there? Just thought you all needed a visit from across the ditch. :D

Thorin! How are you? Long time no see!

How about that win for the Wallabies today eh?

Well remember you're all welcome to drop in on us in the Aussie Guild for some friendly ribbing any time!

~~Manya~~

Edit: Just to clarify - That's an exchange of friendly banter, not me inviting you over to be payed out!

Been talking with our sales rep there in Christchurch and they are still on edge a bit when things start to rattle, but are coming to grips with earthquakes being a fact of life.

I will hand it to the Kiwis... the Yeastie Boys sure brew some good beer! :)
