The following is substantially a copy and paste from a FB post.

To remind everyone of the top five things people said they wanted from a moot:

Common meeting/social areas
A planned group meal
Inexpensive lodging
Ease of getting around
Time to explore the area in small ad hoc groups

Any site that can provide those five is going to be a winner. But different places can provide different strengths: ease of getting around could mean central location, or good transit, or simply having everything you might want to see withing walking distance. A planned group meal could be at a sit-down restaurant, or at a catered picnic, or at an extremely gracious mooter's home. Inexpensive lodging could be a combination of a budget motel and a hotel, or a hostel, or a bed and breakfast...you get the idea.

Or someone could come up with great ideas we've not yet tried.

A good question might be does anyone have a place in the NE that could host others or would be willing to host or at least be a native guide. Just a thought.

I have contacted the Greater Area Boston Chamber again and they swear they are getting information together for me. So hang in, something good might come out of that.

I couldn't host unfortunately

My house/apartment is way way to small.

I also wouldn't feel confident "guiding" in Boston. I've been there a lot, but I'm certainly no expert.

Yep, Ethiopia. I leave in Jan. and will be there for ~ a year and a half, teaching English. I'm alternately really excited and really nervous about the whole thing.

Lewie on TORc and Lewie from ALEP are two different people (as should be abundantly clear by now).

I'm fb friends with Leroy now, but I don't know how that helps anyone, since I'm not part of this group either.

Iris, I'm going to be out of the country the entire year when this moot would take place. I'm not going to be part of any of the planning for it
