Heliona, let me know if there is anything that I can bring for the Wii. :) Not much longer until The_Angel is forcing that pint of Guinness down my throat. :P

Well, if I hit the Irish whiskey then I doubt I'll notice. ;)

I thought you were staying away from whiskey for the rest of your life? I'm pretty sure those were your exact words last week! I knew it wouldn't last!

I'm not sure what we'll need for the Wii - The Angel's the expert on that. I've got two remotes and one nunchuk (there was only one available when I got it). I suppose I could bring Wii Sports, but as only a few people can play at a time, it'll get a bit boring for everyone else. I remember this came up because of some Rock Band thing and Inzilbeth desperately wanting to play the drums. :D

If you decided on it, I could bring my two controllers and my nunchuck. (I might have two, can't remember!) I also have Wii Play. :)

As for the whiskey thing, I had an evil exam today and had a tiny wee nip afterwards. ;)

For anyone who fancies getting in the mood before Ireland, I have a spare ticket to the Ireland/Scotland match on Saturday in Edinburgh. I'd rather someone I know was using it than some random scary Jock!

Alatar, if you can't find anyone for it...as a last resort, I know there are a couple of folk at work who'd take it off your hands.

Well, for the fella I was thinking of, he's...

a) Sort of random

b) Not particularly scary

c) I've never seen him in a 'strap' of any kind

Having said that, from what he was saying today he may have other plans - so, like I say - only bother if you're stuck for flogging it :)

Well, when I saw Alatar earlier tonight, he was wearing one of his Ireland rugby jerseys, so I'm guessing he'll be cheering for Ireland.

That, and the fact that he's Irish ;).

Now here is an absurdly geeky idea. Who would be interested in joining me in posting live moot coverage on twitter?

Any mobile phone made in the last few years should be able to do it!

Anyone?

Anyone at all?

Actually, I had already planned to do some Moot-Tweeting, but you've beaten me too it.

More for the posters that can't make it.

I can't tweet via SMS though, because the system is rubbish (tried two different phones) so I will be reliant on Wap.

So for those that can't make it to Ireland if you want real-time updates of the shenanigans follow me at http://tinyurl.com/bo47oc. I'm sure T_As url will follow shortly :)

Oooo, I'd love to follow the Mootwits. :D Angel, do post the URL, and I'm going to follow Matty meanwhile.

Feel free not to follow me back, there's not much excitement in my tweets.

I'm thinking the easiest option all round is a #irelandmoot hashtag. Then you can use something like twitterfall on http://twitterfall.com/#irelandmoot and not miss anything!

So how does that work, I need to add the #irelandmoot in every tweet?

[mini thread hijack]

Ooookay, it took me ages but I've finally completed my bookings for this trip. :D As the RyanAir flight back to Germany was very early in the morning and I had to go somewhere else anyway, I thought I'd take the opportunity for a stopover in London, to see "Mamma Mia", which I'd wanted to see since the movie last year.

I've now booked a ticket for the show (after having got tempted to see something else instead and spending hours and hours on the London theatre events pages, but finding anything special was only taking place on any other night but the one I'm there  ).

So, the plan so far is to get from the airport to my hotel, drop my stuff there, and get back into town for dinner and the show.

The reason I'm posting this here, of course, is to ask if anyone of the London gang would be interested to meet up for dinner or even join me for the show. :)

I've already poked starlin (Lithuanian TORCer currently studying there, don't know if you know her) via lj and we hope to meet up for dinner on Wednesday.

There won't be a lot of time, as I don't know how long everything'll take me, I might make it into town at five, but thought five-thirty is safer, so that's what I suggested to starlin for dinner.
The show is at seven-thirty, so, yeah, again, not much time.

As we'll have only just met in Ireland, I'll understand if you don't want to bother, and I kind of assume that anyone who is interested in "Mamma Mia" has seen it by now, and anyone who hasn't isn't interested ;) - but, still, just putting it out there as a suggestion. :)
(And there'd probably be starlin to meet, too. ;) :) )

I'm leaving shortly after noon the next day, I guess everybody will be working, but if not, there's a bit of time free there, too. :)

Hobby, is this Wednesday evening you're talking about, 25 March?

If so, I have a prior engagement that night. So no can do. :(

Thursday morning I will be at work and Thursday evening I will be packing! (Since Jewel and I fly out the next day).

It looks like I will see you in Ireland then ... :)

I thought she was talking about Wednesday, April 1....because she said it was her flight BACK to Germany?

I already have plans that night, but it looks like you'll be able to meet up with a couple of folks! I saw Mamma Mia in NYC a few years ago. It was not quite my cup of tea, but certainly a fun show.

Yes, that's right, after the moot. :D
Sorry, I forgot to mention the exact dates.

Tuesday 31st is when I leave Ireland (the cheap ticket offer RyanAir had back then was only for flights up to the end of March), so that's the date I have a ticket for the show, and I leave London after noon, 1 April. :)

So, anyone up for a drink or a show or both on Tuesday, 31st? :)

Well, I already have tix to see Swan Lake with a group of folks on the 31st....in fact, Di is coming, too. HOWEVER, I expect a few of us will be meeting up beforehand - probably Brown's on St Martin St for drinks and dinner.

So...perhaps this will work out well! May as well make it official.

Meet at Brown's at 5:00 - 5:30 or so, on Tuesday, March 31?
