I'd say The Lamb and Flag would be the best bet for meeting on Friday. Traditionally we save the Bird & Baby till the saturday and we don't want to go messing with the formula too much... ;)

Is the Lamb and Flag across the road from the Bird & Baby?

Lamb and Flag it is. :)

Oh, and in what I hope isn't going to become a tradition for me, I've managed to burn my right hand (half the palm and fingers) quite badly, although it's much better today than it was when I did it. (Tradition in that this is the second time I've had an accident not long before a moot!) Still, nothing (hopefully!) will stop me from coming to the Oxford moot. I'm holding off driving until Friday, though.

(And by the way, how infuriating is it to type with one hand! Argh!)

I'll be James May, you can be Clarkson and Wilko The Stig, (He is in real life, after all).

Any idea on time?

So who's The Hamster then?

In terms of time, I reckon myself, Heliona and The Stig will be getting in around 2pm... depending on traffic.

 Can't I be the Hamster? :D I'm small enough. ;) Although I suppose three of us arriving by the same route doesn't really work. :D

Have a good one.... once again we shall miss this due to...

er....

1. not actually being aware it was happening (I know... I'm very very bad)
2. not having enough cash

and

3. being up to my eyeballs with MSc thesis

I'll raise a glass to you all from the Nowhere Inn on Friday night, If you do the same for me and Bea...

(after all it was all my idea, and I'm never going to let you forget it)

We do miss you all (apart from HobbitUK) and miss the weekends spent drinking (me) and shopping and tutting (Bea) with you all.

Maybe when the mayhem of the MSc calms down I'll come back and stalk you all again (for a little while)..

Maybe next year...

Sorry we won't see you this year, Dave. :( You really have to come to more moots - or indeed any at all. :P

Places to eat!

Zizzi's which is here for 7pm on Friday and
Tootsies, at the castle where we ate last year, for 7pm on Saturday.

If either of these places don't suit for any reason do let us know - Zizzi's was pretty much a last minute thing and I'm not overly attached to it if anyone has a better idea?

Carluccio's (which is right next door to Tootsies and is an Italian restaurant) is pretty good if anyone fancies an alternative. :)

I hope you'll all have a great time - yeah I've been lurking a bit and even contemplating going to Oxford but ... Too much other things going on right now.

Hey, maybe next time you should meet in the Turf. All who find their way there (without asking for directions) are worthy rangers, indeed. :D

Hello Canamarth - sorry you can't come, it would have been nice to meet you. :)

We save the Turf for our Sunday lunch, it's something that I think we've done every time we've been mooting on a Sunday in Oxford, so it's definitely traditional! I'm always surprised by how busy it is considering how well hidden it is! :D

Probably because it's got big sun umbrellas where we can suffer our (often quite extensive) hangovers without getting sunburnt... (and the fact it does a cracking Sunday lunch)

Hope to get there next year!

So my car is being serviced tomorrow (long expensive cam-belt one) so we will probably meet you all for dinner in the evening.

Inzi you don't want to go to Zizzis either? Let us know where we are meeting for dinner :)

Well it's a bit late to be changing the booking now, as some people need to know where to meet before leaving tomorrow. :( Moreover it will be difficult to find somewhere that can take a possible 14 people on the day itself.

I think we'll have to leave it with Zizzi's. If people are planning to go elsewhere then please let me know so we can reduce the number booked at Zizzi.
