Jokes that make even jokes laugh

Come on over to Tom's House for the lighter side of Tolkien Fandom. Remember Tom's House is both powerful and innocent, so keep it clean and nice.

Jokes that make even jokes laugh

Aragorn

The theme:

Theoden tells Aragorn " last I checked , it is Theoden not Aragorn king of Rohan".

Aragorn shoots back " and last I checked it is Aragorn the ranger from the north that is king of the entire galaxy andromeda not Theoden and not even vandals for that matter"
:x

Grima separates between the two and says :

Last I checked it was Theoden not Aragorn that wanted to chop off my ass, and Aragorn indeed stopped the old master ere I had no place to sit on, so with the power granted to me as chief rascal I thereby pronounce Aragorn to be the lord of Rohan and the commonwealth!

Both Theoden and Aragorn raised their brows and wondered in thought for a bit, and after they snapped out of their deep contemplation they rang out together in a single voice : last we checked it is Grima not Hemma that speaks nonsense from morning ere night falls so therefore shut up! And sit still ! We have not passed threw fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm!!!

What the . . . ????

Maybe it loses in the translation, but if that's a joke, I'm a buttermik biscuit.

In other words . . . not.

But in the spirit of the thing . . . =:)

Theoden tells Aragorn . . . "Last I checked, jokes made in Theoden's Golden Hall are supposed to be funny."

To which Gimli replied, "Not even all the Malt Beeeerrrrr in Moria would make me laugh at that."

Please use one of the other Tolkien Quotes threads for this sort of posting rather than start new threads.

Also, it is typically considered spam to reply to your own post.
