Mad Libs 7th Round!

Come on over to Tom's House for the lighter side of Tolkien Fandom. Remember Tom's House is both powerful and innocent, so keep it clean and nice.

Mad Libs 7th Round!

Postby rwhen » Fri Aug 03, 2012 2:44 pm

Originally from MithLuin:

The way Madlibs works is that a person chooses a text, crosses out a bunch of the words in it, and then asks people to replace them with new words, giving some direction such as "noun," "person's name," "verb that ends in -ing," "color," "body part," "period of time," etc. The text is then posted with all the new words substituted back in.

The way we are going to make this Tolkien Madlibs is that the person posting the list must state whether or not the original text was written by Tolkien. If not, the goal is to try to use as many 'Tolkien-ish' words as possible to fill in the gaps. If it is from Tolkien, then you may choose whatever you like - the more outlandishly non-Middle Earth, the better.

Practical stuff: Each person may fill in 3 words at a time. You must wait for two other posters to play before filling in more words. You may not insert words into your own madlib! Whoever posts the last words for one madlib will be responsible for posting the next one. If for any reason you are unable or unwilling to do so, please pass your turn to someone else, so the game may continue.

Note: Please be prepared to both put up a new Mad Lib as your turn comes available as well as put up responses for current Mad Libs. Thank you.

Thank you kindly, MithLuin (where are you lately anyhooz?)

The game for this round will remain the same.

Have fun and let's play.

From the last Mad Lib . . .

rwhen: I don't have them numbered on my sheet, so I can't go back and change them...I don't know exactly where they are. I could go back and count, but a couple people either got the original word (surprise!) or something that sort of makes sense...
