Come on over to Tom's House for the lighter side of Tolkien Fandom. Remember Tom's House is both powerful and innocent, so keep it clean and nice.

I am totally new here and I just recently watched the film. I have not yet read the books, but I am going to.
This might be a silly question, but I just gotta ask:
I understand that The One Ring will always try to connect pr get back to its owner-Sauron.
I also see Sauron appear as a flamy eye.
How will Sauron as a flamy eye use a ring?
Sorry if I missed something obvious here. THANKS ☺

Hi, Eowyn4! Welcome to TORC!
Not sure I can answer your question, but I think the "flamy eye" is just how Sauron "sees" everything, even over great distances.
Someone in the movie forum could probably give you a better answer.

The Eye of Sauron was just his symbol - and in the Movie something like a magical periscope/lighthouse mounted on top of Barad Dur that scanned the world looking for the Ring. In form he was a man.
