Old Toby's Funeral (this is his sis)

Postby oldtoby » Wed Feb 28, 2018 10:51 am

Hello, I'm Old Toby sister. I have his computer because I'm the executor of his estate. I'm just posting to let you know that the funeral will be June 16 in Curtis, Upper Michigan. I know it probably won't be possible for most since it's a long journey, but you are welcome to come and pay respects.

My parents have been receiving your cards (got one from England today) and they want you to know your friendship to him made them very happy. I'd also like to point out that his homepage was this forum, so that's how important this place was to him. It still feels like a dream at times, but seeing your posts, getting your cards, and seeing the Star Wars signatures in his honor means a lot. <3

It was an honor to know him and to do the Star Wars for him.
I still miss him as I know you and your family do .

Did he have a charity he preferred?
I'd rather send to them than flowers.

He didn't have a preferred charity, but if you decide to donate in his name, Curtis Public Library (https://www.facebook.com/CurtisPublicLibrary/) would be good. It's the library we went to when we were kids.

A library is a nice idea. Perfect for a place like TORC. :)

I wish I could be there too. :(

I'm negligent in getting a card out. I'm pleased that your family is finding comfort in them. We really did love Toby very much.

I can't believe its taken me this long to see this thread :( . I didn't know him outside of this message board or even really know him at all, but whenever he posted he made the message board far more interesting. My sincerest condolences to those here who did know him well.

Glad to hear the cards are a comfort of sorts to the family!! He was a part of our family here and we will always miss him dearly! My husband and I got to meet him in person several years ago in Michigan at a mini moot and we really really liked him. He gave great hugs! Unfortunately living all the way out in Washington State we will not be able to attend his funeral but He and the Family will be in our prayers and thoughts! **HUGS**
