History Repeats itself

Many didn't know that the day that Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu gave his immensely important Speech in Congress was the day that Jews all over the world were fasting the fast of Esther.
The fast of Esther is the fast that the Great Jewish Queen Esther has initiated some 2800 years ago in the Kingdom of Persia. In those times there was a King that ruled over the Kingdom of Persia, his name was Ahashverosh, and he had an advisor by the name of Haman.
This genocidal maniac advised the King of Persia, to murder every single Jewish man woman and child wherever they are in one day, something that even the butcher of Germany, Hitler didn't even dream to be possible. Yet Haman believed that it was possible, and he went and persuaded the king to carry out the mass murder. Hearing of this horrific decree, Mordecai the Jew, who was the uncle of Queen Esther, urged her to go into the inner most chamber of the King and plead for the lives of her people. The task was extremely dangerous, an uncalled for entrance into the King's chamber without invitation carries a capital punishment. The Queen had relayed this fear to Mordecai, and he in turn told her : "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

Indeed, the Great Jewish Queen of Persia, Queen Esther decided that she has no other choice but to enter the King's chamber against protocol, without invitation in order to plead to the King to annul this catastrophic calamity on her people. The Bible later recalls how she found grace in the eyes of the King, and she was spared and in matter of amazing set of events, the entire wicked plan of Haman was destroyed and he and his 10 sons were hanged publicly. But before she entered the King's chamber she had asked all the Jewish people wherever they are to fast for 3 days and 3 nights. On the third night she entered the chamber, and miraculously her weakness and frailty was overlooked, and she found great favor in the eyes of the King, and the entire plot was averted.

Queen Esther was a direct descendant of King Saul, the first King of Israel, and King Saul was a descendant of Benjamin, the 12th Son of Jacob.

Benjamin Netanyahu gave the speech on that memorable and historic day when all the Jews around the world are fasting, and he did it against protocol and without a direct invitation from the President. He spoke to the world and to the President about the grave dangers that Iran posses to his people and the world at large, again there is someone in Iran who wants to destroy the Jewish people just like Haman. The only difference is that while Haman wanted to destroy the Jewish people in one day, today's dictator wants to do it with one bomb. But of course the tyrants of the world never learn from history. They fail to see the guiding hand of God, and how he runs and controls the world. Just like before all the plans of the enemies of the Jewish people were pulverized and expunged, so too today, and forever, all those who plan to work against the Jewish people will fail miserably.

This is the message that Netanyahu tried to bring to attention, and I think he did a great job doing it.

That sound really radical. Comparing another country's ruler to Haman might not be the best political descision though.
