Speaker of the House change

I look at this replacement election as--probably--the last chance for the GOP to save itself. Other parties in the US history have disappeared, and more have totally changed as to become unrecognizable. If the party cannot realize that the name of the game is to win elections--not to win some sort of symbolic, but useless, "gotcha" victory, it will die.

OK, McCarthy has pulled out. IMO that is a good thing, but I wonder who will replace him. If the New Speaker's first priority is not finding a common ground with the Pres., we will be in deep "doo-doo."

Can someone tell me why this is not a Constitutional Crisis?
The person who is third in line to the Pres. is trying the leave (and who can blame him?) and the person many people feel is the next choice is ducking the whole thing?
