Legend of the Guardians: Guardians of Ga'Hoole

I'm planning on seeing this movie when I'm off on Thursday. The preview really intrigued me. Anybody else see this movie, and do you recommend it?

It looks like it might be visually interesting. I might try to see it in IMAX.

We saw it in 3D; hubby thought the 3D was poorly done. It didn't strike me that way, but it didn't strike me as terrific either. As for the story, it was quite enjoyable. Now of course I understand that it's based on the first two of a series of books... Here we go again! (I did a little research--there are differences, of course. But we don't have the books--yet.)

I liked the characters and the plot. I didn't come away raving, but then I didn't come away ranting either. :) See it in IMAX if you can; but the 3D isn't worth the extra cost. We saw Avatar in IMAX, without the 3D, and we never missed the 3D!

Oh, I wish I had an IMAX theater in town or nearby. I'd see it in a minute! As well as other movies.

I saw it today, and I was impressed. I saw it in 3D, and it was well done. Not spectacular, but OK. I liked the characters and the story. Take LOTR, add a little Star Wars, and put it with owls and you have it.

My only complaint about this movie is the fact that it seemed terribly rushed. They tried to cram the entire story in less than two hours. It would probably have been more effective if they made it a little longer, or split it up into two movies like they're planning on doing with the last Harry Potter movie.

But other than that, I really liked it. I identify with Soren, and I have a brother a lot like Kludd.

I can't belive someone else' have seen it! In Poland they rate it as 3/10, which sads me. I really like the movie, the owls look cute and the story is heartbreaking. Also, the music is really beautiful. What a pity it's not so much known as Shrek or Tangled.
