Liv Tyler's Arwen is the most beautiful woman in the LOTR movies, not to take away from any of the others. But Miranda Otto's Éowyn made me 'fall in love' with her, over Arwen, which surprised the hell out of me, because Arwen's so important to the story. Seemed kind of counter-intuitive, to me, when Arwen's the leading lady, to cast her thus. But if any mortal woman were to give her some competition, they chose very well in casting Éowyn. Still, though, Arwen's otherworldly beauty was in no way affected, much less diminished. She just wasn't well-served with that ... that "voice." If she just talked normal, I feel Éowyn would've been somewhat less of a potential 'challenge.'
