Being a Catholic myself, I have a few bible web sites that could come in handy:<BR><BR><a target=new href="http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/index.htm">New American Bible</a><BR><BR><a target=new href="http://www.scborromeo.org/drbible/dr_toc.htm">Douay Rheams</a><BR><BR>It is a matter of translation really. Plus the Catholic bibles do contain the Dueterocanonicals (or apocrypha).<BR><BR>Lady A.

Yepp.Parador, you've done a great job. Once the discussion starts off, this place should swing into full action. And wont that be a pleasure <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>..but try and not overwork yourself..we wouldn't want that for our Parador <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I know this isn't exaclty a vital reasource for our purposes but I don't think a TOlkien library would be complete with out:<BR><BR> <a target=new href="http://www.elvish.org/elm/names.html">A brief History of Nonesense</a> <BR><BR>The other writting is hosted at Ardalambion. and there is ofcourse the home of Vinyar Tengwar: www.elvish.org

First, I would like to say I am sooo impressed with everything you put in here Parador J... it must have taken you hours, and I would like to thankyou because everything in here has been very helpful. I have not had a chance to read all of the posts yet, so i dont know if this has already been mentioned, but i would suggest you include all of David Day's books: Most importantly The TOlkien Bestiary and The Illustrated Encyclopedia, have helped me when reading all of Tolkien's works. I would recommend that you list him for secondary works, or whatever his category applies to. If his books are inapplicable, then sorry to waste your time. I will check back often tot his threadl; very helpful!!

<i>Screams in frustration!!!</i><BR><BR>OK!!..forget that site.. I have another!!.<BR><BR><a target=new href="http://classics.mit.edu/">http://classics.mit.edu/</a><BR>This site has a LOT of Greco-Roman works..VERY good stuff. Includes names like Plato, Homer, Aesop, Virgil, Plutarch, Herodotus..and many more..<BR><BR>PROJECT GUTENBERG:<BR><a target=new href="http://www.promo.net/pg/">http://www.promo.net/pg/</a><BR>Now this is a treasure!!.. It has almost all books..I mean it..more than a thousand Authors....all you have to do is search for them. You can download a HUGE list of authors and titles available before searching. Excellent site. The following link will take you to a page having works listed by Authors..If it works, you won't have to go through the entire site <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> <a target=new href="http://promo.net/cgi-promo/pg/cat.cgi">http://promo.net/cgi-promo/pg/cat.cgi</a><BR><BR>Of the two, the Gutenberg site is fabulous..I don't know how I missed it so far. As for the Cyberread site, i can't make it work..If you want you can navigate by typing those site names in your location bar. but thats about it..<BR><BR>

ok.. I checked the new links as well as the cyberred links, they are working (PHEW!!).. but you will still have to navigate the Gutenberg site. It will ask you to select an FTP server closest to you. Just do that and you are into the Authors bank..and i must say, the place is a gold mine!!..LOL..anyways, see you later..<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Alexandro...I understand...it too is hard for me to find the time to read...there is a wealth of information out there and I get frustrated not being able to always access it...<BR><BR>The library's main page has been updated and with a new Intro...I have also added a 'Title list' giving the names of the newest links...because I have added so many since I started the library, I listed only a few to start out...now that I have a plan...I will keep it updated on a daily and weekly basis <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><BR><BR>I hope many find this library helpful (all suggestions and new links are greatly welcomed!) and will visit and take in the richness and vast amount of knowledge awaiting them...
