OK then, since I've got the summary, I'll post it just now. I will join in the discussion when I return.

Hello all. I have looked around on the VTSG board for a while and I am just now starting to post. This is something that I have always wanted to be part of.

Welcome, Amonfur! :) Just comment on any of the chapters that you want - the older threads are continuously open, even though the discussion has moved on!

Hi everyone!

I had some problems logging into TORC, that's why I haven't been able to post this month's chapters. I'm doing it now.

:) Happy New Year!

Gilwen - Yay! I'm ready for the new chapter. TORC was down most of yesterday, so that could have been the problem.

Argh, I'm now desperately trying to prepare for my History of China exam, and then there's another in just a week so forgive me if I am not here during the next few days :( I have tried to keep the discussion of Chapter 8 going, and I will continue to, since we left it unfinished. But of course we should start with the new chapter as well. Looking forward to it, Gilwen!

P.S. Rowan, what a beautiful sig pic :)

Chapters 9 and 10's summaries and questions are posted. I find it very difficult to summarize a chapter when most of it is dialogue! Enjoy!

Thanks, Gilwen. :) I've taken a look at the questions, and will return to them over the weekend.

Starlin, take your time, real life gets hectic every now and then.

Hiya,

I'd like to be involved but I am a bit bemused by it all, being a moose of very little brain :). Can I just join in with the chapters that are already underway?

Welcome to TORC and the VTSG, Moose! :)

I just wanted to say that I'm still here, but don't seem to get round to re-read the chapters.

But thanks for the new chapter, Gilwen, well done! :)

You're welcome to join, Moose! :)

And, I must apologise my own passivity in the discussion; real life has kept me all too busy. :( I hope to be able to participate more in the next month's discussion, now that I've got a couple of assignments done.

Hi! I'm pretty busy with school and all that  but I think I might like to join the study group as long as I have time....so I'll be around here but might not post too often.

Seems that the discussion scheduled for February will be late again; _Isis was to do it, but she hasn't been around for a long time. Any volunteers to take up the chapter A Knife in the Dark? Or, should we think of moving it to March, in which case I could write the summary myself?

Maybe we could move it, February is shorter anyway

I have to say that I had to cut down on my time online a little bit so I guess I will not be volunteering for leading the discussions, but of course I'll participate in them.

OK, I'll take the next chapter in March; the timetable has also been edited. I'll try and contact TWT about the next chapter, he has at least reserved it.

ETA: Due to real life issues, I can't get the summary and questions up until on the weekend.

I cannot fathom why I haven't posted here yet! I think from now on there'll be lots of lurking and the occassional posting here and there.

So this is the place all the scholars and loremasters are calling home! 8)

Welcome Maegnas! :)

I'm afraid all the scholars are so much at home here that they've just dozed off in their armchairs! ;)

But we're doing our best to keep up the discussion!

Not yet, I'll have to poke him and ask if he's still willing to do it - he isn't so much around nowadays.

Well what do you know! The first time I come here in months and my name is mentioned. :D

I remembered that I had a summary coming up so I decided to stop by after a long absence. I'm been busy with college and other things. Due to personal reasons I don't really post much at TORC anymore save in the Canadian guild and the Hockey thread. I recently decided though that I would make exception for the more intellectual part of TORC and continue posting in Books and the VTSG.

So hello again to the old VTSGers and hello to you new guys. :)

I'll check the schedule and see what I have. :)

Welcome back, TWT!

And, it's great if you can do the summary for April; we've been a bit delayed with our schedule anyway so, you don't have to have it ready by April 1st, you can take another week or so to do it. :)

Hi folks. I made some last minute plans yesterday to head up north for a week. I'll be in an area without internet or even telephone service until Friday. It just dawned on me that I had to have the summary and questions up this week. If its OK I'll try to have them up on Saturday, a week after I get back.

Cheers,

TWT

Hmm, I wonder if TWT can give us an ETP (estimated time of posting) for the April summary?

Has anyone seen him/her around on the 'boards?
