Consider it done. I happen to love tapioca pudding. Feels neat squishing through the toes.

Can one be late if they cook their own dinner? :P

In actual Tolkien related news, I think I'm laying my hands on a copy of the Atlas of Middle Earth. Wheee!

They're adorable :D She has longer hair than me these days, I went short!

My nephew is called Riley, he's just about two months and he's a little star.

I'm fine, moved up to Edinburgh last year... all change! Actually we just had a moot in Glasgow last weekend which was really good. Oxford will be soon I imagine... fancy it?

Hello

Postby fuzzyfeet » Mon Apr 28, 2008 11:28 pm

Hi, I hope you don't mind if I jump in in hopes of being adopted! I found this site this weekend while searching for Tolkien events in my city--Chicago. Everyone seems so nice. I have loved Tolkien since I read the Hobbit and Trilogy as a kid, and am re-reading the books again as an adult. The more Tolkien I read, and the more I re-visit him, the more brilliant I think he is. I love the movies, too. It's kind of geeky but I watch the extended versions usually once every couple of months (when I am too tired from work and school to read and I really need to escape from the world). I just wanted to say hi and get started meeting folks. I work and am studying part-time to get my teaching certification in English. Sometimes I work on short stories with the hopes of submitting them somewhere someday (maybe when I work or study less). I love that there is a place like this dedicated to Tolkien--you've done a really nice job. Nice to meet you! (I hope I post this correctly.)

Hi Fuzzyfeet, cool name :D

Always good to have new folk here, any questions let me know. I see you found the Chicago moot thread already. I won't be at that myself but I know a few of the folk who will be and it should be a good group :)

My first choice in name was taken, but I'm glad it worked out this way. What's not to like about Hobbit feet? Good to hear about the Chicago group. I am sure I'll have questions...

I have a question about etiquette. I know it's polite to ask permission before joining a thread belonging to a guild, but for threads that are posted for various discussions on different topics, what is the etiquette there? Some seem very open to anyone posting--sometimes I can tell by the first post. Is there a common practice? Thanks! Hope you are well.
