To Raven...

I walk through the garden just before dawn when the earth's dreams rise like mist to dance beneath the trees. All is steeped in the soft gray of dove's down as fog nestles quietly upon the valley. I must arrive before the sun awakens the fog to rustle and preen in the warming light. The small dirt trail winds between pale aspen trunks and blue fir and I make no sound as I pad cat-like in my velvety boots.
There is a brilliant black shadow, a flashing blue light as a wing whispers onto my shoulder. Dearest Raven, you have come to see the birth of summer with me, the celebration of the gardens... I am excited that we are nearly there, you and I.

Just around the corner, beyond that boulder and we stop abruptly. There before us, for many miles into a side canyon of the valley stand the sleeping trees pregnant with serpent blossom; the translucent buds of wing-light.

We watch the sunlight glow pink and then gold upon the mountain tops and then like a soft brush stroke, moistened with a star's kiss, a ray of delicate light caresses the sleeping fog. She ruffles and preens her feathers and then craning her neck she cries with joy into the heart of the sun and rises into his embrace.

And wonderment upon wonderment the trees blossom into the air, glistening chrysalises crackle open spilling forth living flowers into the sunshine. The butterfly trees come alive, their blossoms dance out filling the valley with hungry color, devouring the drear landscape with passionate hues. And Raven sings of her love and joy as the butterflies reflect like stained silk upon her beautiful face.
How magical this place is, Raven with her glorious new wings of love, Snowdog, a gentle brother spirit, a dancer in the meadow, Guinevere, so lovely in her youth, her sensual spirit, and the other bright and loving spirits. And there's the ethereal, the incomparable, the empyreal one who undoes my laces with his words, causing me to lie breathless in the shallows...

(wow! I cant believe I am still even mentioned here! Hi Arewn! Pleased to meet you! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>)

Floating on a cloud above the garden, I dream of times past, when I was free to sleep, or dance, or walk amongst the flowers with the butterflies. But life changed quickly and the world outside called, and my visions faded into a faraway dream. But in this time of sickness, a voice called me here again, and I cry at the friends old I left behind, and of friends new whom I never met. A Raven flew by waving, a dear friend of of old, and TerryD singing his word echoing. Lady Gever present in her radience, and Arwen Evenstar so bright. Yes I miss the time passing or not while here, and tomorrow the world outside calls again. But I will remember always this place, and may make time again to come. For just my time here today has healed me some.

(Raven! I an so excited the you and Dan are getting married! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
I kind of felt bad the day I left work that we didnt talk much that evening... but I was busy getting wasted for I was excited and scared at what I had done. Working at the senior center ha sbeen a great change, for I am near my dad and there is less pressure, but the lack of internet has made it tough to enjoy places like this. I will try and definitly get on here when I cant sleep at night though. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>)

Hail and Very Well Met Genuvere long time ache ta see ya. Senior Center huh? So ya got a taste of some of what I do all day<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Glad ta see ya darlin'.

And Terry D, why ain't ya joined the Guild?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The Warior/Bard Erinhue made his way back to the Butterfly Gardens
seeking solace for the heartbreak of an unrequited love's final dart of
ultimate rejection. The dragonharp, Agarak, sits beside him emitting
soft and soothing notes quiet as a gentle whisper on the wind.

Steeped in meloncholy the bard contemplates his first encounter with
the cold dark beauty who's name befits her stormy attitude. He
considers her choice of another, one the bard also considered friend
and realized that the two were indeed a prefect match. They were
made of the same mettle, a match of darkness for darkness.

Now understanding the truth that had always lain before him,
Erinhue, like any good bard, would take the pangs of love that never
was, that never could have been, and pour them from his mending
heart and into crafting a love song for the Guild's SpringleRing
Festival.

Dearest Erinhue, yes I know of love's painful rejection and also of its triumph. I look forward to hearing your lovely verses again. It has been such solace to come here, and to other areas in TORC, where I can express my heart, and share what I had once only shared with one special other, the fullness of my heart.
Blessings to you <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

And I awaken, a little chilled and wet from dew. It is dark and the leaves of the willow sparkle all around me in the moonlight. A soft green luna moth lands on my hand and the tiny purple feet grasp my skin. Soft green dust sparkles upon my fingers as it walks, opening and closing its wings.
It was all a beautiful dream...Snowdog, Terry D, Raven, Lady G, Guinevere and the others, dancing in the grass. I lay under the tree, the stars so thick above, like a shimmering blanket in the sky. The Luna moth whispers to me. She tells me it's time. I turn into my cocoon to sleep, and to dream. Good night.

(To my dear friend, who has allowed me the priviledge of caring for her as she passed on...)
I brought her a selection of tapes and over the weeks she had chosen the celtic harp as her favorite.
Sweet, delicate sister-friend, I hold you in my arms as you talk of family, the times we sped in the ambulance together, thinking it was time. Now the harp music plays and I place soothing salve upon your dry lips. I feed you sips of water trapped in the end of a straw. Hours pass and together we watch the sunlight pass through the high windows. Your sorrow runs deep as you had tried to bring the family together one last time, but it was not to happen in this life. Then you speak of others, to others, up in the ray of light above. I watch your eyes widen as you catch your breath, "So beautiful!" you cry. Another sip of water as I cradle your head and I watch and listen. Then the relaxing of the feet, the growing lethargy rising through your legs, the rise and fall of your chest, your hand relaxes in mine, and your faint smile. I hold your head close as you take one last breath, "I love you," I whisper,"and your family loves you." And then I close her darkling eyes. Gently I lay her head on the pillow and stand back, not able to feel yet. And then the light, there is a feeling of bliss in the room and I am filled with her presence. She is everywhere and all through me. I cannot even feel sorrow for the body lying before me because she is no longer there. She no longer suffers. I am filled with wonder and quiet reverence as there is only light and peace and I am only a transparent vapor. You will live always in my heart, affecting my life in numerous ways, dear, sweet friend.

With gentle care, Orald kissed the morning dews from golden petals. Softly, he placed a newly-flowering gardenia blossum in his mouth. Withdrawn, succumbed within fragrant dream, his perception of the sensual, slumbered into a secluded glen, a privacy of mind and heart...

His eyes were cast with depth and longing. His face, expressive with desire, reflected a beginning and an ending... How to read this story? Each time anew, opening into possibility, ending a hundred, hundreds differing ways.

How shall this opening become? The first potential, of several, clear-voiced calls to us, saffron-throated, a story hooded, a grey mantle of shadows and mystery. The second, a dwelling of ferns and moss, a bushy sanctuary of desire calling, fair starlight and glimmering woodland of forested paths. A third, perhaps, enchanted by a calling clear, phrased in birdsong, cloaked in greens, of leafy embroidered leas... blessings, as rain, showring each and all shelterd by towering trees.

Orald, with courtly dignity, whispered a soulful song. And each budding flower became a friend, receiving love, as honor-crowned, they danced in starlight on meadow. Then, sable nightfall, cat-crept to the forest's hem, to Orald's jacket, pleated with melodious thread... a garment pastured from chin to navel with meadows of soft, fragrant clover, against the wideness of his chest or her breast, sufficient to hold and halt the march of memory through wooded pass.

It has begun again and again... how shall it end,... over, then again, neverend?
Stirred within my dreams by a tender kiss, my petals slowly unfold, scent upon scent, sighs rising from quivering stamen, ever opening to sing in harmony with the shimmering light. Pearls of dew adorn my face in the cool mossy grotto where the kiss of dawn's light seeks me out. The tiny ant begins to crawl with infinite lightness, tickling my leg as it searches for nectar.
Dawn strolls through the gardens, caressing each face with light, awakening each budding heart with the warmth of his joyous voice!

Arwen740! Thanks for your writing! I showed Dan last night, but we were too tired to respond. *hug* Dan is picking me up from work early today and we are going downtown to get married. No big serimony, not bash, for there is no sympathatic family. My parents are thinking I am being rash and since they have lived together for 33 years without getting married they dont see any point in it. Damm hippies. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> Dan, sbrother is ok with it and will be there, and Leslie my friend of many year since detox will be there. I am so excited and happy! I keep trying to wake myself up from this dream, but every time I wake up, I am still dreaming! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Hi Genuvere! Good to see you post! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> )
---------------------------------

Raven kisses the new opened flower and smiles at Arwen in her beauty.
Floating on the grass lighter than air, the dragonflies lift me and spin me around, dizzying my mind as I again slide around Terry D and his words of wisdom and magic. Dragonflies are haphazard in their flight and if the see a mosquito they dart with speed, letting me go as they race for their lunch. Falling, the strong arms of Snowdog catch me as he places me on my feet, only to dive in the river of cold. Emerging wet and wild, I dance upon the grass in the sun, twirling and spinning and showering all nearby with the water from my white satin dress.

Ah, Raven by this time your union is blessed. How happy I am for you, so full of joy and love! A new life awaits you, new challenges, shared dreams and hopes. Through joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain, may you both walk in beauty, Raven.

Tears well in my eyes and the view of the valley shimmers gold in the setting sun. Trees whisper and carress the sky, pine scented voices mingle in sharp staccato, butterflies overlap on branches like leaves to sleep. I untie my wavy hair to fall in golden clouds around my face. Unlacing my soft boots I tug them off to feel the cool breeze curl around my legs. I walk down the trail , into the valley on soft dusty earth. The hawkmoth whirls in the air, blending with the gray dusk as he seeks the fragrant dreams of drowsy flowers. The earth takes me into her nourishing valley and I am a seed again in this season of sleep and renewal.

Raven fluttered with the butterflies in her happiness, feeling giddy as the day drew near. Yes she was in confusion, and her husband to be laughed as she foundered in her error, but held her tight to his bosum in rescue. Dancing about to Arwen, giving her a hug, a soft embrace, thanking her for kind word and thought. And to Lady Galadriel whose care is spread in her every word. Genuvere for her love and to actually able to see and know her in all her kindness and beauty. Snowdog the ever present, a brother you are to me. And Terry D, a beautiful man of word and deed, and it is an honor to call you friend! raven flies about teh garden, watching as Arwen sleeps and misses her already. She flies toward the sun.

The river trail beckons me as I wander through the tall meadow grasses. Coyotes are popping up out of the weeds, hopping straight up and down like grasshoppers. Haha, they must be chasing field mice in the flowers! A fawn sleeps in hollowed out grasses near the large granite rock. I'll rest here for awhile and watch the butterflies gather on the banks of the river to drink the earth's sweet nectar from the moist sand.

Beren walked into the grass and suddenly he felt diffferent. It seemed a place where reality was fantasy and dreams real. Mesmerized by the beauty of the garden and of the people there, Beren lay down in the tall grass and soon was deep in a thought, and wishing his beloved Luthien was here.

Within this Garden, dreams, as butterflies, become manifest. This dream world, though magical, may, for some, be frivolous fancy, for others, it may be insight, guidance, companionship. Encounter the mystical teacher, the divine inspiration, the creative, the wise Butterfly,.. that fluttering, dreamlike essence, that generates our dreams, made visible as a supernal guide.

Relax, welcome Intuition, the dreamer's Butterfly guide. Go beyond rationality, that which is conventional... discover the flight of fancy that defines what we wish to become!

Share your dreams. Reveal yourself, open into the fullness of becoming... what is best, what is to be... may, perhaps, lay nestled in Dream. Search for the magical. Make unreal, real.. a sublime universe of miracles and memories, exquisite angels, and fearsome sorcerers await your Awakening. When shall the elusive become attainable? When you kiss the Butterfly of Night!

Beauty, clarity and hope often abide within dream... dwell, ecstatic, envigorated in this virtual maze. Live with joy! Dream of love. Dwell in magic! Reside in that thoroughly ethereal world that may be visited every night... journey with the extraordinary... divine the less predictable,.. comprehend the mysterious,.. budding flowers are revelatory, moments are unexplored horizens,.. friends are dreams come true,.. the Butterfly of Night awaits you....

Beren's vision seemed real, and the words of the voice were heard of the Butterfly of Night... and soothing were ones heard from the Lady Beau of the Noldor of a renewed presence. The Garden will rejoice!!
Beren then spelpt in dream, a dream of a red-brown haired lady who came to him and kissed him, and lay beside him in the grass in comfort, the waves of vision covered him over, and time was lost.

The Mallorn trees shower me with golden leaves as I awaken in the night. Soft elanor is fragrant against my face and I am covered in a blanket of golden shimmer. One by one, stars fly down to alight on my skin, kissing me with cool, tingling light. I roll over with a sigh and stretch, looking up through the grasses into the face of the moon. She has turned on her side to sleep in darkness. The sun, unseen, warms her curved form from across the heavens. I turn to curl up in my nest of dreams. Perhaps the distant warmth that I feel, the golden warmth that caresses my sleeping form in the darkness, will one day shine fully upon my face. I drift off into butterfly dreams, listening to the river gurgle and sigh.

~Luthien~ slept into the ensorcelled chimera and the redolence of the aesthetic garden captured her senses. She took heed to the incantation of cryptic voices echoing from malorn trees above, and then in her reverie the silhouette of Beren came into view asleep in the soft grass. ~Luthien~ bent down and her voice echoed in his ear to awake him. Her fingers ran through his hair and her lips touched his. He awoke and was enchanted by the luster in her frosty gown, as well as she could feel his hand slip around her waist. ~Luthien~ gazed into his eyes and the magic of the garden infiltrated her with obsession for him.

In my dreams I rise into the tabernacle of morning mist that encloses this sacred, ancient land of myth and awakenings.
There, below me in the grass, is the fair moon, bending to kiss the sun to awaken in the grass. Ah, fair light, awaken the lover of the earth!
Translucent green, I rise up through the trees, blinking and singing photosynthesis within the leaves; the marriage of sun and breath in clear green veins of liquid light. The sun is mesmerized by the cool beauty of the moon. His arm encircles her waist to pull her close.

The string is plucked and I spin, spin dizzingly upon a fragile note, suspended above the trees, twirling round, finally to fall upon the stream. The gentle kiss of water carries me away upon her sparkling lips.
Dream a vision I see of the sun, the moon , and the river running free. Echoes of love seep deep inside, and I am comforted by the warmth of my mind. And a brush so soft of skin, and the sweet dew upon my lips I awaken. "Tinivel! Tinivel! Do I still dream? For your radiance it does seem to touch me deep within, and only have I known such in my dream." I reach for her seeming so far but so close, and the softness as my hand it does touch you, I fall into your eyes as stardust falls about and a sound is heard in the water nearby. My hand takes your hand, and a kiss I offer it so. But Am I dreaming awake? I do not know.

Her cheek pressed against his chest as he held her intimately, ~Luthien~ looked upon his face and gazed into his eyes. The esotericism hidden behind them she could not enucleate, and the abstruseness of him lit the fire that raged within her soul. The cabalism of his touch, and the wonder of his eyes, blazed so fierce she could not construe. (for Rich) *Why is it I adulate you?*

(dunno)

Lightly slipping upon the soft grasses, the butterflies wavered through the air as Luthien leaned close t me. As if a butterfly she sat shimmering in the sun, vividly reflecting her awesome beauty into my eyes. As a magnet I moved slowly until my lips met hers, velvet to the touch. Eruptions as a geyser I felt through my soul as she gave me transfusions of life.

(haha)

Each passing second the heavens above darkened and tiny points of light scintillated above our heads and while I looked at ~Beren~ his eyes were glowing like a radiant touch of sterling as well as my own from the silvery starlight.

I lay on top of him and find myself without words to voice of the allure that drew me to him. The arias aloft had brung my soul to depths deeper from their mantras, and I yearned to tell him of the fervor in my spirit. I stood up while taking his hands, and looked down to see the faint glow of moonbeams illuminating a path through the magical garden.
Softly she arose and she taking my hand she led me. Tender kisses of starlite stuck to her every strand of hair, shimmering as she moved. Oh tell me ~Luthien~ your yearning, for it itself yearns to be freed from the warmth near your heart. slowly she stepped her bare feet into the mirrored pool, and the rings of soft supple ripples went forth from mer movement. I followed and the waters touch freed me from my inhibitions, as though I was renewed, and standing there she sang a song of water and moon, sea and sky, and the breath that bonds the lovers to each other. Angelic it was, reaching out across the magical place.

The resplendence of the entranced garden had me hypnotized, my voice chanted in words I had never apprehended before and as I shut my eyes I fell into the embrace of his arms. Beren's touch sent my soul to quiver and he laid me down near a tree under the frosty moonbeams that dispersed from the ebony skies. He pushed the tresses of silvery-blonde that hung about my shoulders away and I could feel his enigmatic gaze piercing through my being. His kiss on my brow sent pulsation’s throughout my inner-anima and my eyes fluttered open. "I love you"
