Well I am glad you are so extatic. Lets see, Well I supposed you could "pop" up from a tree but a more likely place a child of Danu would appear would be a Faery Fort, a ring of stones, of any size, a ring of headges or a ring of trees and so on. Also from my research it is said, the druids were in Erin before Celts and as the numbers of the durids dwindled it is said that those whom "disappeared" became faeies, elves and such and were the gate keepers of these ringed forts. They gaurdians when the souls came to this mortal world from the Otherworld. Just a piece of legen for you!

Blessed Be and Merry Meet!

Oricon tell me a little bit about yourself or the character you would wish to make and then I can find a good name or give a list that relates to the character or yourself. I have always believed that your charaters names should reflect the character itself, just like our names show a bit of us. We were all named for a purpose. For instance in my family it goes, Kelly, Taragh, Erin, John, Aisling. Kelly(warrior women) and Taragh(named after the Kings of Tara) are names of battle and war, John(holy gift) and Aisling(visionary, inspiration) are pure and the opposite of war, and then right in the middle is Erin meaning peace, also named after Ireland; the balence of the two war, choas, and purity, order, light and dark...

Blessed Be and Merry Meet!

Well I think ill dig up the mabinogion and coem back to you on my character, It'll definatly be something welsh related. I have so many celts in my family i mean Im definatly part welsh, scottish and Irish, but if we trace back our family someones ment to have come from France and the other celt lines are supposed to lie in the Isle of Mann. I believe the celt lines are split into 6 groups. I can't remember the translatiosn for them all but their - Alba (think thats scotland), Breizh, Cymru (wales), Eire( Ireland), Kernow, Mannin (Isle of Mann). Or somethign like that..

Llinos do you mean that those are the 6 countries they are in? Because Lines mean family lines/blood lines... I would say that those would be like different Celtic culrtures or something?!? I've never heard that, beacuse Eire is the Gaeilge word for Ireland, also Erin and Eireann and such. But They mainly started out as one group then moved about in different direction and countries and set up different clans.

Istariquendi;

Very nice idea and well written. I would like ALL to take a look at the new thread Don't become like "to much butter spread over bread!" that I have just posted. One thing that might be better IQ is adding "the" before Clan. Just a thought. I can't wait to here what happens next!

Good Writing!

R~D

I don't know Liaden about those countries i mean, maybe its just something welsh people believe but thats what how we say the welsh came about, though as welsh people we've always thought of Ireland Scotland and wales as the original celt nation...but thats just us <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Istari which country are you going to set this in? I mean I'll probably be a traveller from wales like but i was just wondering or maybe you posted that already... <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

*copy-pastes all of Liadan's posts and prints them for some bedtime reading*
Can I join? I love the Celtic culture... to little tiny pieces. I haven't got a character (yet), but she might be called Deora (tears). No, I don't speak a syllable of Irish, but has anyone heard the song 'Deora ar mo Chroì' by Enya?
All right, well, if you think me acceptable, I'll have a character up and ready for you soon. Namarië!

Well, see, that's my problem... I can't think of a good character (Llinos, you took my idea!). For once, I'm at a loss. Do you need any positions filled? Like, I don't know, a... I don't know! I've actually started reading up on Celtic culture and languages, so maybe I'll find something there...

Sure but I will probably be reffering to her throughout the story because my character is Aine's kin, you could however find and earth like name and then put Aine after it? or reverse or something?? Just a thought. Because in Ireland she is literally, to pagans who use that deity the Goddess of the Fearies...

Just a thought!

Blessed Be and Merry Meet!
