Jonathan and Ted, after following the slow database queries on the server, noticed that it's those massive threads that can kill the server. Translation to those of us who don't speak Techie: when a thread goes over 2,000 replies it drags down the database and contributes to the crashes, errors and time-outs we get.

We know that there are many longstanding Alliances, Guilds, RP's, etc. which are much cherished. To that end, we're requesting that you start a new thread when the original goes over 2,000 responses and encourage your participants to post in it(For instance, The AMMM League, Part II). You can ask a mod to lock the old when once you've started the new.

Thank you all in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Hopefully we can cut down on some of the drag we all experience by making use of this simple technique
