This story could get kinda hard to explain, so I'll just be frank.
It's a drunken comedy about a thief and a conartist. But that'snot the only wierd thing. They have the same name!

Both their names will be Nickolai. The thief I guess will be me, and I'll the con artist to whoever wants it.
It's in Middle England around the year 1314.

who's up for it!

Middle England is just like saying Central America. It's a region.
Sure you can join! But I think my introduction post in the Rp thread is kind of long.

cool! at first I didn't think it would succeed, being a comedy and all, and I'm not sure that Rp's are traditionally comedies.

welcome, Thal, to TORC!

oh, no it's fine! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> For me, you don't have to post in the OOC first. Just join if you feel the RP is right for you! (That's what I live by anyway)

Bwahahaha! I have no idea where this is going <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> was my post okay? I decided to take up the role of Nickolai con-artist I hope no one minds. Actually, it can be a communal character, things could get much funnier that way... Happy posting all!

Cuio mae
*~Arwen

hey, this is doing better off than I thought.

Make up your character, take one of the characters I've created (Sawyer and Lord Koulon are the only ones that are open for that now)
(except Nickolai (theif)
do whatever.
But keep it funny, keep it clean. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I strongly siggest that you read the guidelines for posting in this forum. As stated here this RP will not fit that criteria. This forum is for RP in the fantasy styles that might have influenced Tolkien's work. This would include Norse Mythology, Celtic, Arthurian (King Arthur and Camelot)and others but this does not fit.

since you are still in a planning phase I will give you the chance to alter this RP to fit what is appropriate for this forum, otherwise it will be locked. I shall be watching.

Okay, I got it all straightened out! (hurray) the style will most likely be norse and some other type I can't pronounce (or better yet spell) but starts with a C. Norse includes elves, dragons, dwarves, and the like (just for a little backround info) and what I read up on C is for things such as the Mists of Avalon. So, here goes...

As we have stated before, this is a story about a theif and a conartist with the same name. It starts off in the city of Rune (I have no idea if there were such a city, but this is fantasy here, people) where Nickolai (theif) and her friend Sawyer are at the bar, talking to the bartender. The bartender tells them soemthing about the Ninstone, a powerful stone in the Castle of the Lord Koulon, that is said to protect the people of Rune. Also, the Ninstone, you happen to be able to get either all or part of it, makes you immortal. This is what happened with Nickolai (theif). Also, there are the dragon knights I mentioned. They are people who have been called by the dragons to unseal them. Unfortunately, the dragons seem to have been spread out and hidden by a demon sorceress named Cernsora.
Anywho, Nikolai, Sawyer, and Shenlyn meet Nickolai (con) at the palace. Nickolai (thief) is made a Dragon Knight of Shadow (dragon), Shenlyn reveals that she was a Dragon Officer (lower ranking than Dragon Knights seeing as they don't have dragons) and Nickolai (con) is made a dragon officer (due to the fact that nobody's called her (yet). Being a demon, Cernsora cannot enter the castle so he/she possesses Sawyer and has him try to kill the Lord Koulon, whom Nickolai (theif) saves. Defeated in the mission, Cernsora leaves his body but not before taking his soul/life force with him. Nickolai (thief) is finally persuaded to go find Shadow and have Nickolai (con) go with her while Shenlyn goes and finds Sawyer. But with possessions, mystical happenings, and mischief going around town, everyone knows Cernsora is out to get the one person who had been able to defeat her...

Okay, that's all I got for now. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> feel glad to change it around if you want.

Okay... I don't know how that changed the story in any way. If we're doing a Norse thing, should we still be in Middle England? I dunno... I guess I'll just along with the next post from ya Elfin_Jedi! May the force be with you <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

*~Arwen

You are right. Simply saying that now the setting is in Norse Mythology and tossing in the name Odin does not make this story fit the forum. Extensive revisions are needed in the current posts to change the setting of your story. I will give this another chance but I am prepared to lock this thread.

<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> sorry about that, it was the only thing I could think of at the time, I await ...information... from the starter of this thread.

*~Arwen

P.S. Elfin_Jedi I think it would be easier for most people to make the setting Arthurian instead of Norse since more people (including myself) are more familiar with those types of tales. But it's your call <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> I don't think this is working out to be my kind of tale... so I shall take my leave of thee.
