It was a bright hot morining and Una was inside, looking out at what was happening in the garden. The bunnies were hopping around and bees were buzzing around the flowers. She saw something in the sky. As it drew nearer, Paracule, her raven, started to get tense on her arm. She new something was wrong.

Looking outside for anything that would upset her loyal bird, her father burst in. "We must go now!" He grabbed her wrist and grabbed the emergensy suitcase and took her outside.

"What is the matter?" Una asked. "There is no time to explain." Replied her father. "All that I can tell you is to run as far away from here as possible. Go now!" He flung her ahead of him towards the road heading west.

Una nodded and shouted "I love you!" as she turned and ran. She heard a last comment from her father before a firey ball landed in the village with her just out of range. "Guard the pendant! Take it to Torren!"

Getting up from the blast that had nocked her down, she looked towards the remains of her home. With tears in her eyes, she turned and ran for the inn of Elcaban.

Rykago could not remember who he was, or what has happened to him. All he could remember, was fighting as a mercenary for the Banner of Mordor, when he fell off his horse. The rest was all...fuzzy. He awakened in a wheat field, in what seemed like a far away land. His armor was scorched, but he had no idea why. He slowly got up and looked around, for any sign of where he could be. He yelled, "Pyros!" to the land, hoping that his lost horse would respond. Nothing...He paced around for awhile, looking for any hospitality. He looked up into the sky, to see a giant fireball flaming towards a small town. The fireball crashed into a town, and he was blown down from the explosion. The gentle land was now a barren waste. He saw a girl running. Quickly, he ran over to her. He asked,"Excuse me, do you know where this place is, or what is happening?" She gave a soft response, and she quickly told him what was happening to this planet. He asked to help her, and she shook her head, with hope in her eyes.

Nymoue studied the man's face. He's lost, she thought. "My name is Nymoue. I am headed for the inn of Elcaban." she informed him.
"I am Rykago, mercanary of the Banner of Mordor."

"I don't believe I have heard of that place before." she replied. "However, we must leave now. It is a five days walk to the inn."

Nymoue slipped on her glove and called for Paracule. The beautiful Raven came flying down and rested gently on her arm. She nodded for her new friend to come along, and they set of to Elcaban.

With his new traveling partner, they set out. The sky dark sky that was above them, glowing as the fireballs burnt through the atmosphere, and with great speed crashed into the ground beneath them. There were almost no trees in sight. The ground was just a powdery dust, with hundreds of craters in sight. Rykago asked Una where they were headed. She told him that they were headed to the Inn of Elcaban. He asked her what they were to do there at this Inn. She looked straight up, at the road that seemed to go on and on for eternity. He looked at her with a confused glance, and looked ahead with her. There was another fireball headed straight towards the ground. As it hit, a burst of heat swarmed them. Rykago covered Una, and his back scorched. They had to stop this chaos. They had to. Or the entire fate of this planet would be doomed.

The lanky figure dropped his book into his lap, exhausted. How much longer would his master make him study mythology of the sun before he could study the sun itself? Tal sighed as he hopped down from his perch on the window sill. Strands of his unruly short brown hair drooped into his face, tickling the top of his nose. He pulled on it and estimated the length. He needed to get it cut. He reached for the door handle but instantly recoiled his hand. The metal knob was burning hot. The metal bindings on the spine of his book seemed to burn through his thin shirt, causing him to drop it on instinct. He ran to the window and looked up. A blazing ball of fire, still high in the sky, was headed straight for the tower. And he was in it. A wave of heat pulsed toward him and a trail of sweat trickled down his temple. He rushed downstairs.
"Hey everyone get outa here! A fireball's headed right this way!" In a panic people rushed out of the building. Some fell and were trampled, others just got lost in the crowd and didn't know which way to go. Tal jumped onto a table and searched for his master. Where was he? Someone suddenly caught him by his waist and slung him over his shoulder. He tried to turn his head to see the stranger but his face was covered by a hood. He shut his eyes and held on. Before he knew it, he was out in fresh air. The stranger set him down but continued on with him, yanking him along by the wirst.
"Sir, I gotta get back there! My master's there somewhere!" Tal tried to slow the strangers pace but to no avail. The man stopped and took him by the shoulders.
"Your master is as good as dead back there. Come with me!" Tal shrugged and followed, unaware of what he'd get himself into.

Jakkin had been in the building when he heard a young man shout. it was Tal. He knew by name only, Tal being a Nobel's son and he, Jakkin a lowly Stable boy.
As soon as Tal shouted people, Lords and servents alike shoved towards the entrence. Tal had started to climb the stairs when Jakkin realized that unless Tal moved now, he would never get out alive. "Tal!"Jakkin had yelled, but it was usless.
There was only one thing he could do. He ran towards Tal, shoving aside the people running to the enterance.
Grabbing Tal by the wrist he pulled him down the steps and when Tal still refused to come, picked him up. Jakkin had gotten strong from being in the stables from when he was 12, so Tal wasn;t too hard to carry. Quickly he got him outside and pulled him out of range from the fireball. Tal was going on about his master, Jakkin prayed he had gotten out.
When Tal had calmed down Jakkin spoke "Sorry for picking you up. You would have probably died, so I had no choice. Forgive me my Lord"Jakkin Bowed awaiting his answer.

"Oh, it's alright, I guess." Tal looked back to the destroyed library. It would take years to rebuild that. But that wasn't his concern. Taking an instant left he headed toward his house.
"Wait! Where are you going?"
"I going home. Like you said, my master's as good as dead and he'd want me to go on with his studies on the sun. But there are certain things I need." The other boy followed him silebtly. Finally, Tal's stupidity hit him.
"I'm sorry. I don't think I know you." The bowed again.
"My name's Jakkin, sir." Tal chuckled.
"You know, you don't need to call me sir. Just Tal's fine." They arrived at his in good time. Only he, his master, and a few servants lived here. Other than that the giant house was empty. They grabbed a few instruments and some rations. And, after much coaxing from Jakkin, Tal took the sword that was displayed over the main mantle. It had been his father's, it was named Rekka Shin'en (Divine Blaze).

As they passed the remains of the smoldering building, they could now see that the remains of the dead were being layed in a line. A glint reflecting off one of the bodies caught Tals attention. He ran toward it and held up the gold piece. It was his master's. So he was dead. He stood up once again, barely able to hold back tears.
"Hey, you okay?" he turned to Jakkin. He smiled sadly and brushed away stray tears.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Then let's go."

The two continued into the forest but were stopped by a mysterious figure. She had golden hair and was strikingly beautiful. Could she be an elf?
"Does that include me sir? Because if it doesn't, I will still follow you."
