A little bit about me and my posting habits, So you can decide whether I'm the Adopter for you.

I generally spend most of my time here in 6 main forums...

The Bird and Baby (Talk)
Alliances and Guilds
The choirs of Eru (Music)
The Councils of Manwe (Philosophy)
Toms House (Fun)
Events

Though i have been known to venture out of these forums into other territory (Usually Books, Tolkien) You'll generally find me in one of these 6.

I never go into movies, Not because i hated the Movie, On the Contary I loved it, after i had got my rant out of the way, and i saw it three times, and then went and bought the DVD.

I don't go in there because i want the PJ, (Peter Jackson) version to be a complete suprise to me.

And I am planning to catch the midnight showing of the Two Towers in my home Town.

I have been her a little over a year and one of the things i never did was go into the Welcome forum, But i wish i had. Generally ive had to figure most of this place out by myself, If i needed help there was always someone willing to give advice.

But I was lucky, I found a thread called the Donut guild, and stayed in there for almost 4 months, before venturing out into the Big wide world of TORC (TheOnering.com, The Old name for this site)

Thats what this place is about, to give new members a chance to experience the wonders of this site, with a helping hand from an experienced member. Gawd knows the place is big, I haven't finished exploring it all yet.

A bit about me...

I live in the Coastal city of Plymouth in the UK, And I am rapidly approaching middle age. Though my brain keeps telling me i am still a teenager. I like having Fun but i can also be quite serious about certain political issues.

My main interest is playing Drums in a kinda Caberet Punk rock band, So that leads onto my other main interests which would be Music and my quest for the perfect pint of Guinness.

As Haldir says to Gimli in Lothlorien...

'I shall lead you well, and the paths are smooth and straight'

fcd my old pal I haven't talked to you in forever. Actually I think that we have only ever talked together in one thread. Well everyone keeps telling me that I need to get adopted so I decided that I finally would. I think that I've already figured most things like rules out, but I sometimes need a bit of advice about what to post. I think that mostly I have been like you were. I haven't gone to welcome or or here yet because I just asked fellow TORCers for advice. Until finally I have begun to get tired of all of them telling me that I need to get adopted so here I am finally becoming so.

I LOVE THE TWO TOWERS MOVIE!!!

If either of you like gollum then go to www.lordoftherings.net and the there is a video on there on the making of Gollum. It is titled Gollum Video so you'll know what it is about. Then watch it and you can see almost the entire scene where Smeagol tells Gollum to go away. And if you haven't seen The Two Towers yet then you should.

By the way I was sick and now I'm well. I have a basketball game tomorrow and I am still kinda sick so wish me luck!

What is that game you were talking about anyways? Not charades but the other one. If it's British
