well no, the woman in my sig is how i picture my RP character to look like (right now though, it changes often lol) It's Vanessa Paradis and i basicly took her because she's the RL partner of Johnny Depp (the guy in the sig of Jae's lover <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>)

See, all has been thought of <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

and you're no toddler silly!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> or else I'd picture Ren to be a drunk and Hobbi to be a superhero.

Happy B-day Warden!

Boo- I have stayed in the main hall both of the two times I've been. They were both on the 2nd floor. I can't remember the room # at the moment but I will look on my card when I get a chance and tell you.
Where do you stay?
What are you doing in the summer when schools out? I am going back to EFY again.

I want to go meet you guys. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> My parents are letting me go on a big trip somewhere if I finish my school early (long story). I was wanting to go to new zealand at first but maybe I will go to london(you know how much I love the accent <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>hehe). hmmmm....
I would have some people I knew to keep me company.
Hobb, Where do you live?

-Don

Happy Birthday Warden! May you enjoy many more fulfilling years.

Don, believe it or not, I'm in the tower room of Main. Oh yes, THE tower room. I look out on the entire village of BV. It's cool because I sit outside the front window and just watch the sky and the people and the leaves change color. Well, I did. Now I live and breathe classes and work and rehearsals and so forth, but once upon a time I had the ability to enjoy it. Actually I still feel like a princess though, living in my tower <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

This summer is so up in the air right now. It depends a lot upon auditions for an upcoming musical here. If I get in I will attend a summer term and then go up to DC or Boston and work for the rest of the summer and live with some family up there. If I don't get in, I might do one of many things. I might go straight home(Oregon) and work unitl mid-august, or I might go up to Martha's Vineyard and work up there. I might have a job lined up already and it saves expensive airfare across the country. Plus it pays more. When it all comes down to it, I'll be working somewhere at least some of the time. SVU is awesome, but expensive and the government is only paying so much.

Don't get all flustered about getting together Don. I don't even know if the London reunion will happen at all. I'll be there, but I don't know if I'll be given time to just go romping through the city.

So, I have a question for everyone. What significance do your TORC names have? How did you come up with them and so forth. They're awesome and I was just wondering what they mean to you.

Don- in summer i’m first going to the Oxfort moot <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> just to warm up <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> and after I’m going away for two weeks with 3 girlfriends to Portugal to enjoy sun and the beach <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> i’m so excided!! I already booked my plain tickets for Portugal, now all I have to do is get my ferry tickets!!

Bou- my username “Jaeniver” (I have many lol but this is my main and most used one <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>) was given to me by friends, sort of. They came up with Gwenevere (lady to king arthur). I didn’t really want to copy an already exsisting name so I began to do some research and found out that the name Jaeniver meant “the sorrow one” that name fitted her history, which I had in the back of my mind, perfectly! Jaeniver’s second name Ëlindi, I thought of later as it means “given by stars” why she took that second name is a long story <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> it’s all in her bio.

Ren-I'm working on the post. thank you for the great texts!! i should be able to post it tomorrow.

Boo-
Oh the tower room is cool. I was in that one that is kind of rounded on the front and there is a balcony (but of corse they wouldn't let us go on it <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> ) on the second floor.

It's ok. I'm just whineing. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> After all, tons of people have been on here longer then I have and they haven't met any of their friends.

My name is the form of my real name in elf.

Jae- Looking forward to your post in the LFI. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

-Don

Don...I live in Yorkshire and talk with a Yorkshire accent<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> We in the North tend to get annoyed when everyone assumes that everyone in England speaks like the Queen or a cockney chimney sweep.

<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

My name? Hobb- Thats ok , I hate the queens accent. Now a cocky chimney sweep,Thats different. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> hehehe Just kidding hobb.

I haven't read the first post in a LOOONG time.

I did check out your website again hobb. I wanted to see if there were any new pics up of you to see how my curls ranked now. I might need to cut my hair. Whenever I cut it , it gets curlier. I also found out what your real name is. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> I have a cousin named that (he's abit shorter then you though.).

Well my day was kinda tough. I had to go to the dentist and get 3, you heard me right, 3 fillings. rrrr... They were all on one side and the dentist gave me like 3 shots of novicane (which also hurt quite badly) so my whole right side of my face was basicly numb. It felt kinda weird when I blinked. Then I had to go to work. hehehehe I went to life guard with my mouth numb. Thats great huh hobb? I was praying that none of the seniors needed CPR during the seinor swim hour. That would have been.....ummm...lets say .....interesting to say the least. But then I came home and had dinner and then I took a nap and now I'm wide awake . So how was everyone elses days???

-Don

LOl..Jae, like most foreign people speaking English I imagine you speak with a southern accent with a hint of your Dutch accent<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Oh and I actually prefer my name to be pronounced "Hobbi Tuk" than "Hobbit UK", but it started out as the latter<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Don...sounds like you had a busy day<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Nothing much new on the band website except for this weekends gig date. Ew! My mouse is all sticky! Why is it sticky? Charlie used it last - Gross boy!

Hey everyone!

Just woke up and thought you would like to hear about the dream I had last night - I dreamt my fish had babies!
<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif"border=0>
Yeah thats kinda what I thought when I woke up! The most disturbing thing was they kept swimming up the filter pipe Nemo style and getting mushed by the motor!
NICE!

Anyway -

Hobbi I'm proud to say I clocked the Hobbit - uk thing straight away - was actually part of the reason I picked your thread - though I have never called you Hobbiuk, you've always been Hobbi, or Hobnob, but I know you don't like that - though recently is just been D-man! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

We have something else in common Hobbi - the English half of me is from Yorkshire. Selby to be exact, my great grandfather was Harold Pearcy - had his funeral in the Catherdral, aparently the Pearcy's are a well known family or something. (I really need to look into my family history!)

My name - here it goes <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> - is actually a character from a book that I used to love pretending to be when I was little. I used to spend alot of time at my Nans (single parent family - Ma had to work) and my nan was a firm believer in books - my reading obsession is due to this and for that I thank her! - So everytime I visited her she would read me stories. My favourite was a collection of short stories about mystical beings - Unicorns, fairies, Imps etc - and most of all the story about a little fairy called Renowen.
So, after finishing the story I would run to my dressing up box, don a costume, and become Renowen!
I was so obsessed by this character that I insisted everyone called me Renowen, and my family, thinking it was cute, played along.
Thing is - after years of this the name eventually stuck, and even got shortened to Ren - there was a time when I was about 13 -14 when some people didn't actually know my real name!
As I've got older I use the name less - I never introduce myself as Ren anymore, and the only ones who call me it are my friends from way back.
I stopped using it when my Nan died 5 years ago - reminded me of her too much and asked my family to stop as well.
But now Renowen is re-born - just as ditzy and smiley as ever!

I cannot get over how 'natural' it feels when TORCers call me Renowen in RL, always makes me smile <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Jae Hows the post coming dearest?
Two more days! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Well off to bug people Ta ta <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

GREAT story Ren<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> I love it

I've got to admit, one of my favourite things about moots is when people call me "Hobbi". After all, all "Hobbi" is is a character I invented for RP...a character who I often aspire to be more like<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Well why not? He's very popular, makes friends easy and is much more confident than me.
So when people call me Hobbi to my face I love it<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

My name is a combination of three actually.
The first I stole from Boudicca herself. I love her story and I recommend you all check out her pages in history to catch a glimpse of why I've always had an affinity for the name. She is so me in lots of ways and I love the way it sounds and I have for years. I think she will be a starting point for my RP character, too when I get around to that.

The last part is from a habit one of my sisters and I have. We call eachother by the first two letters of our first two names. Her name is Angela Joy. I call her Anjo. She calls me Lama, which sounds like the four legged animal we all love, a llama.

The rest is history they say. What has a better ring to it than Boudiccallama? It's actually my AIM screename, too if any of you have it.

Hobb, so am I to understand that your RL name is Dean?
