how long does it take you to comb your hair in the morning?

Not too long, I wash it thoroughly first and use a good conditioner so for the first few hours of the day my hair actually looks.."ok"

Do hair straightners really work?

Not the ones I've used!

Are people who get their hair permed just jealous?

Hell Yeah

And how much would you pay (or be payed) to have straight hair?

That's the thing. If I was really bothered I could get it sorted no problem...but quite frankly I can't be arsed to spend so much money on HAIR<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
Hey hobb, don't disscus all the topics yet. We haven't even made the Alliance of the Curls thread yet. hehe

how long does it take you to comb your hair in the morning?

Well my hair is kinda short so it doesn't take too long. I found that if I wear it up in some sort of bun over night it doesn't tangle in the morning after I wash it. (hobbi, you should try that.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> I can just picture you with your hair in a bun. hahahahaha!!!!)

Do hair straightners really work?

Well I got this really nice cerramic one for christmas a few years ago , and if you don't rush it too much then it will straighten very well. The brand is helen of troy I think.

Are people who get their hair permed just jealous?

Yes, I agree with hobbi.

And how much would you pay (or be payed) to have straight hair?

Thats the glory of having a good straightner (and the glory of not having to pay for it in my case<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>).
I don't have to be paid to get rid of my curls but I can still have it straight every so often.

Im a curly person too!

I don't know Ren ...... I saw a Picture of you once I think, but that looked more like "waves" to me.
What do you think Hobbi? Should we let her in???<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

-Don

Yes...but she must pass the "initiation"

<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0>

I found that if I wear it up in some sort of bun over night it doesn't tangle in the morning after I wash it

Actually, I do occasionally tie my hair back when it annoys me and I find that it does straighten it out slightly afterwards<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

lol, wrong sorta gate. By gatekeeper I mean, I'm the person everyone phones up whenever they want any info from the database so they don't have to look it up themselves...oh and I have to keep it up-to-date too. Very boring...but a lot of free time<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I suppose I had better answer my own questions

how long does it take you to comb your hair in the morning?

providing I combed and tied it back the night before, comb it before I wash it and smother if in conditioner only takes a few minutes.

Do hair straightners really work?

Mine don't unless as you said Don you have hours to sit there and mess about with it (mine are the Babyliss straight and shine ones)

Are people who get their hair permed just jealous?

Yup Yup Yup

And how much would you pay (or be payed) to have straight hair?

Some days when my hair decides 'today im going to look like Hermione Granger' then I would sell my soul for straight hair - others (normally when ive spent hours messing with it) it looks really nice and I wouldn't give it up for the world.

Don my hair was in waves because I had had it tonged for the pictures - aparently that style was what Kylie Monogue had - I don't know I was to carried away by the experience

But my hair is actually really quite curly especially now its layered.

And er whats the initiation? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif"border=0>

*gulp*

edited to ask - Hobbi did you go up a rank at the bard festival?

Hi Jae....

Wait why do you have a Diff. screen name???

-Don

Edit: Well I have to go babysit in an hour. I hate that I'm at the age where everyone wants me to babysit cause they figure I am mature enough, but I'm getting too busy with work and school to do it often (and it doesn't help that the more I do it the more I hate it).On the other hand, 6 months ago I would have jumped at the chance to babysit. I'm just whining I guess, but tonight was going to be my first night to just stay at home and relax.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-crying.gif"border=0> waaaa!
so I guess I will chat it up with you guys later.
Alrighty, so someone said that the way to best get aquainted with this crazy place is to get adopted. So, how would I go about doing that?

I read through a bunch of pages here and I would love to be a part of this family. I feel like I know you all. Would you care for a baby sister? I think I'd fit in.

If so that means when we get a new home I'm in the nursery, or in mum and dad's room, right?

I'm in college in Virginia(yes, I'm American<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>, but I used to live in Scotland) and I'm a huge fan of LOTR. Can't I please be a part of this family? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Me or one of the other regulars will help you out.

So , just to get this cleared up, Are you a boy or girl?
I am a girl , even though I sign my name as don. Some people get messed up with that. My REAL name is Janell (had I told you guys that before?). Please don't give out your age unless you are 18 or over. What are some intrests you have???

Guys- I feel like crap! If you would like to learn more about why "I feel like crap" then
check out my soap in the guild for those with too many intrests.I think it starts at page 48 or something. But if you want to know why "I feel like crap" and have already read my soap then just go to the last page. well ok I can't type anymore, my palms hurt to much*.

Talk to you later!

-Don

*Refer to My soap,again.

I am indeedy! true blue through and through. I was actually thinking af starting a thread to find other LDS tolkeinites, but if I can assume that you are as well, then I have no need to. My sister is!

I don't really know who you are talking about, though. Sorry.

I've always wanted to go to EFY, but I never really got the chance. Oh well, I'm going to such an incredible school now. The people and the classes and the professors, the atmosphere. I can't say enough, really. You should check it out, young one!

I need to head to bed now, but I can't wait to talk to you more and to sometime (??!!) meet the parents and the rest of the family.

Okay, so I need to calm down a bit. ahem! whew. so...when can I get officially adopted? I feel a tad odd settling in before I've even met dad.

I don't think she comes around as much though.
The most regular people around here are me, hobbie, Jae, and Reno.(those are all nick names just fyi.)
Hey has anyone seen Warden around? So what should we call you for short?

Consider yourself adopted!

Yes I am Mormon. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

I Was thinking about starting a Mormon guild but not alot of people here are and I just didn't see the point of making one that was so limited. I don't know maybe not.

So do you have a scottish accent??? I LOVE scottish and brittish accents! ahhh.... love em!

Well Have a good night everyone! I'm off to bed.

Talk to you later!

-Don

Edit-

I forgot to tell you a few very importent details,

Renowen is the "Little sister". Even though I joined torc after her , she is still the "little sister". She is your "LITTLE SISTER".
Remember that.

Jae is like the parent when Hobbi isn't around. She useually gets to the noobies first and welcomes them. (but not this time Jae! wahahah!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0>) She is always good for advice (but you know hobb is getting up there in that too despite what reno thinks.) and a good laugh.
