I am not sure about him being that hot, but his music is clever and makes me laugh, as sick as some of his lyrics are. I liked him in 8-Mile too, good actor, wonder if he is going to do anything else.

I like the straggly kind of rugged handsome type, long hair, goatie all that jazz (aragorn, legolas, johnny depp, etc.

Grats on the ipod!

No Elnew! P.O.D are great! *mutters about spycie gurl ness* And besides, they're touring with LP so if they come to Aus I'm scamming tickets. I have to go if they come! Dammit and if they don't come *here* I'm going to the Melbourne concert.

LoL Stormy! I know they're very...different from each other...nyeh...I don't often agree with MM's stuff, but I like the way he tells it<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> He is scary though...disturbed, for want of a better word...metal capped teeth and such..oO

Elrin, yea, El's right. That PM might not be permanent, so you'll want to get the best use out of it you can<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> To get a pic, all you need to do is have the picture saved. You save a picture by right clicking on it and clicking "save as"<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> Anyhoo, once you've saved it, and are on the "My settings" page, you'll see a box that says submit picture or something...you click browse, find the picture file, and click submit. And then you wait until it gets approved. Haha.

Mm I can smell spices...it was 44 degrees today. 44! Bleagh! I wanna meeeelt...meeeeeeeeeeeeeelt...

Ha! Yea, I can see that too El...swaying...dancing...toe stepping...<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Sounds great!

If the picture is the size of most other people's pictures it's fine. Very few people look at the recomendations <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

If it *is* too big though, open it on paint, go to Image (on the top), then 'stretch/skew', and then play around with the settings. To double the size, type '200' in the top two boxes, to split in half do 50. It's pretty self-explanitory <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Holy hell Smaug 44!?! It was around that in France last year, and I swear I melted off maybe 5pounds when I heh fell asleep on a sunbed. Didn't burn though... I'd done all my burning a few days before <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Music precioussss, I like all sorts. Although I truly cannot stand garage. It's just the worst sound ever. Ever ever. w00tw00t!!1 for cheesy pop though <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> And right now I'm listening to Imperiet. S'pretty good.

Elrin, if the page went all weird and had an error at the bottom that might mean you have to change the type of file it is. I think it doesn't let bmp files, but if you save it as jpg it'll work.

Happy belated Valentines day to you all, hope it was filled with lots of hugs, kisses and love wishes! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Manson is scary, but I think people take him wrong, he is in it for the shock value, to do things no one else will do, to go to that freaky dark closet in your heart and show that he's not going to deny a feeling just because some people ("they"<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> say it is wrong or dirty or bad.
To let the fear of seeming strange destroy what freakiness you have, don't you see that is madness... (I am a bit of a freak sometimes, excuse me for that) If you think you can have an open mind and give something a try...read his book. It really gives you another view of things and he is a very good writer, believe me it is an iteresting book. So weird is that we speak of him (MM) 'cause I just bought a music DVD of his concerts and WOW. I have been 4 times and I would love to go again, now I have him in my TV! My boyfriend doesn't like him (or didn't before), but he went to the show and you should have seen his face <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> It was very theatrical, we both loved it.

Anyway I got a new Gollum shirt precious and someone has come to stay at my house now... Legolas is here. (He says hi, behind his elvish eyes). I got a standee and he's looking at me <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> !!!! w00t!!

elrin-thanks, for enjoying my poem, it makes my heart smile, you shuold post, don't be afraid, I have some stuff in the RR that I don't care for too much, but that is okay, ya know <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

wynken your welcome. i like poetry, my boyfriend writes me poems all the time. what can i say the boy is a hopeless romantic. i'm very jealous a legolas standupee where'd you get it. all i've got is a poster. i seriously don't think the fellowship knew what they were getting themselves into, but i can't say much cause i'd do it too. i think i'm just to lazy to type it all out. i read a hilarious parody to lotr it called the lord of the socks. very amusing<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

stuffed on chocolate kisses and brownies(gotta love boyfriends)

yay earnhardt jr won the daytona 500. sorry i'm a nascar fan and my friend got me hooked on earnhardt jr.

I know about Nascar fans, once my Mom went to the Daytona 500 and she said it was CRAZY! All night people stayed up partying and yelling, etc. Particulary obnoxious drunken redneck men asking women to show them their....well you get the idea. Since i think children tend to follow in the footsteps of their parents sometimes, my Mom always liking Bill Elliot, I also like Bill Elliot. And as she Never like earnheart, hence I never liked him either. Funny how we base so much on what our parents like. Of course, now that I am 23 I don't much care, nascar just isn't my thing, but if I had to choose someone it would still be Bill Elliot. Stuck in time, and family tradition I guess.

Sounds like your boyfriend is great, I love the mushy romantic types, that really gets me. Wonder how I ended up with one that acts more like a robot? just kidding he is great and would never be mean to me and will always love me, he's just not romantic.. hey guess you can't have everything you want. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>
wynken yeah my boyfriends cool. he's quiet where i'm loud. i'm not a real big nascar fan, i'm a more music and lotr fan. no matter how many times i watch the two towers it still is great. the look on legolas's face "shall i describe it for you or go find you a box" seriuosly i don't see how a dwarf can out kill an elf on orcs, it doesn't seem possible.

In the books he was defending the caves, so he had more of a chance to kill orcs than Legolas did. Now that I really understand how Helms Deep is layed out I will understand the book better <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

but considering an elf's vision is better than a dwarf. though dwarves know caves pretty well, alot better than elves. i think now that i saw the movie i can imagine what helms deep would look like. i htought it was a network of caves, that go into one another. what would minas tirith look like would it be a forterset too, or a city.

It does not matter that Legolas's vision is better though, because Gimli does not use a bow and arrow, and only fights hand to hand combat, as opposed to 100 feet away combat <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

If you flirt with somebody else, just make sure he doesn't find out <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Hope he gets better soon though.

Legolas will run out of arrows eventually. I vaugly remember him picking up his used ones in the book, but don't quote me on that. Also, when the orcs breach the wall arrows aren't going to be as much of a use because they'll be closer, and he'll need to use knives. You can't use bows and arrows during hand-to-hand combat <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

yeah i think that's what he did. i think he also picked up the unbroken orc arrows too. anything he could find. i guess you couldn't shoot fast enough for orcs that close. though i probally couldn't have done much better, i can barely hit the darn target let alone a moving one.

i was kidding about that. i'll be bored all day. though he's well enough to email me. he would call me though its long distance. so we're stuck emailing each other and school. his reject friend is always there at his locker and he teases us. why do guys have to be so immature?

As regards to Legolas collecting arrows, I know that in the book when they are fighting the Urak-hai at Amon Hen, when Merry and Pippin are taken, he does regather his arrows after they prepare Borimir's burial boat (weeps) <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> I don't know about Helm's Deep, seemed odd to me as well, that when they started counting Legolas was already on 17 and Gimli had only 2 already, then in the extended Gimli told of his count and Legolas shot the hald-dead orc to make it even. I think it was just for a touch of comedy that Gimli beat Legolas in the body count, ya know, cause elfs rule and Legolas looked to me like he was wasting everything in site, wirh great accuracy <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> just my thinking on the subject. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> got to go been on here all morning, hope your boyfriend is better soon.

By the way does anyone here know The Fool I think I might have a cyber crush <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif"border=0>

I've had a few of those Wynken <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> They went away pretty quickly though. I've seen that name around, but never posted with him.

I think Tolkien may have had Gimli beat Legolas to show that elves aren't invinceble, like some people may think. They're immortal, yet they can still die, and a dwarf can kill more than them <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

I believe using an axe is also easier than using two knives, but I'm not sure. Gimli certianly also has the advantage of sneaking up on people <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>
