Hmmm, orcs and parts...Just because of the way they're described I'd always hoped that they reproduced like fish or something. I can just see Gandalf the cave ranger pointing out to tourists "The great spawning grounds of Moria" *large burst of light from wand*

Now THAT is just disturbing. In a very funny, scary way. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> And yeah..old men are just more...mature...well, hypothetically. It's sad when you find the 28,29 year olds that still act like they are 13.

There will always be guys like that, if they're 15 or if they're 40. I remember some of the days in my sophomore english class...my teacher would just blow up and tell the guys to stop acting like 6th graders. We eventually had to put our backbacks in the front of the classroom so the guys would stop turning them inside out <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>

(Satch-yes he was one of them <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>)

Yeah...usually I love those guys as silly people for my amusement, as long as I'm not dating them. I mean..that sounds bad. I mean they are good for friends, not boyfriends. There...THAT sound better.

That class had to be the best one I've ever had, just because it was so amusing.

Unfortunately I did really like one of those guys...figures. I end up falling for them too. So fragile and tragic, and usually artsy. I want to take care of them. Guess it's my downfall.
Didn't know he was until I started talking to him a lot. In my defence the immature guy (who also can be very smart ) is very good looking!

Aren't the ones great women like us crush on always attractive? And all the jokesters that I know tend to be handsome. My friend Austin, is soo good lookin', but the more I got to know him, the more I consider him a brother than a love interest. The boy has every old 80's toy he ever played with still in his dorm. And he wishes he was Snoop Dog, bless him! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Oh but noooo this is a bad stalker. Bad stalker bad. I liked him, he liked me, nothing happened because I was moving, I got over him pretty quickly...and he's still working on that. He's even decided that he wants LOTR rings for our wedding. Funny, because before he liked me he thought LOTR was boring, and now he seems obsessed with it (I think buying a 400 dollar ring is obsessed enough!)

Tisn't fun my preciouses, no! He's going to uni next year, so as long as he doesn't move around here I'm fine. If he does I'm changing houses and phone numbers <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Ah but if we could get our attractive and immature guys to stalk us while we like them and while we live in the same country...hm I guess that'd make life too simple <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Also...why are the great guys always living across the sea or at least 10 states away? I mean come on...fate doesn't have to be THAT mean to me...

Tell me about it. It sometimes works out for the better though...when I left HK two guys (they had been good friends) both liked me, and I liked them. Then they didn't like each other. I felt awful <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> Then I left, and they're friends again. Maybe it's just me that's the problem <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

I would ask Satch for advice, but knowing her she wouldn't have much to give <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

(except for the leather and table dancing, right m'dear? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>)

Don't knock the kink factor <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> j/k. Right now I have guy, bless his heart, that asked me if I would date a guy who did a nude photo-shoot. Apparently, he thinks I will date him, aand wanted to make sure I would date him, even if he got naked. -_-;; I mean..that is not very tactful.

I still consider myself a newbie in some respects, but in others I was un-n00btized a year ago. It's not something others can tell you...for example, CC didn't feel like a newbie awhile ago, but I still did, and I had joined half a year before her. You're the only one who can decide whether you are one or not.

But whether or not your a newbie is not important. You make intelligent posts and you'll be just as respected as somebody who joined at the same time as Rodia (who is not respected because none of her posts are intelligent <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>). It all depends on comfort levels.

I have seen some blown out of that water...I suppose me choosing my words carefully and knowing my LOTR really helps after all. ^_^

My main reason for becoming an adopter was because I...er...didn't do well when I first joined <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> It wasn't a pleasant experience, I'll tell you that!

We're getting better at welcoming n00bs though, but I always figured if you were yelled at as a n00b and ran away, you weren't worth our time. If you are so sensitive that you're going to leave when somebody makes a joke about you, why would we want to spend more time talking to them if we can't be humourous at all? At least that's how I see it, but having stuck around after being chased out of movies may make me a bit biased <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>
Well if she leaves TORC, she wasn't worth keeping in the first place <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> If she's determined to stay, she's somebody we want. We don't want to spend our time tip-toeing around the sensitive posters, do we? Having been on both sides of the n00b flaming, I can say that the people who leave weren't going to fit in with us in the first place. Think of it as initiation <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Plus it’s a good lesson. You get in trouble if you don’t think about what you say before you post it. I definitely learned it!
