No, I haven't Nighthalk. And like yourself I'm not readinguch right now. College schedule and all, but during the summer I hope to pick up something of my own chosing, rather than something for a paper I have to write.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> I have read the Harry Potter books, too. I must admit I have had a couple of times where I went to the midight selling. Most of my family loves them and I love adventure, so we make a night of it. Why not stand in line with a bunch of avid readers for hours on end? Brings up good conversations. My older sister, yes older. She's in her twenties and she's a HP freak. She dressed up and was practicing her spells with the kids in line, not to entertain them, but beause she wanted to learn and show off and such. Her husband was pretty embarassed and pretended not to be there. Ahh, I love crazy experiences. Anyhoo, I'm off. See ya.

Hey Nighthalk- My cousins have read the dragon lance books and love them. My brother has read a few and he thinks that they are ok. I personaly would like to read some but I haven't had time to do much of anything lately.

Boo- I have read the HP books. I liked the first two but my very fav. was the third one. I read the 4th and thought it was pretty good but I hated the 5th. I thought Harry whinned to much and that it didn't tell you anything really new. Most of the things that did happen I had already assumed had happened (ie the prophesy). Not to mention they killed off my Fav. person. RRR.....<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>

Well better be off. see you soon.

-Don

Windy, welcome to the family, dear.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
We're always excited about new arrivals. I'm Bou and I'll be the psycho sister you'll laugh at and question whether I'm sane and so forth, which I'm not.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Don and I are the git sisters just so you know. Jae's the big sis and Ren's, well Ren's not been around much has she? She and Hobb were at a gathering, or moot as they are called in TORC(the one ring.com), so we haven't heard from them much this last weekend, but they should be back soon. Marie's you newest big sis and Nighthalk's your newest big brother, but there's also the warden who comes and goes. Lurea's the mom around here and she comes for a visit now and then, too.

So that's us...who are you?<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
tell us a bit about yourself, windy. and as for questions, ask away.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

edited because I spelled "bit" once as but and that could be embarrassing, but now I've said it anyway....

I am so utterly thrilled at what is happening to our homely house. We've got three new arrivals for you pop, Nighthalk, Windy and Lady C.

Welcome by the way Lady C! We're all totally excited to have you join our family and yes TORC is the way to go. Hobb will be back sometime soon and he can answer any questions you may have. If he doesn't, Jae will or Ren will or Don will or I might even make an attempt.

I'm Bou and I hope you can find your way to a suitable chair and make yourself at home. The same goes for you Windy, and Nighthalk. With everyone moving in and with the classics coming home from their adventures, there's luggage all over the place. Anyone up for taking all the suitcases and building a fort? Or two?

Don, you be the captain of one team and I'll be the captain of another and we can have wars and throw things from one side of the room to the other!!

What better way to welcome dad back to his abode?<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0> Oh and by the way, We missed you REN!!! Late at night when all the family was asleep and I was feeling so sad missing you, I thought of pink oliphaunts.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Don, I should be on most of tonight, if you want to talk.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

and once again, welcome home to the newbies!!

What on ME happened here!Ren takes in the trashed house around her

ahh hem! If you would have looked abit closer you would find that we have all been very good while you have been away(and really board also).
Come on guys back me up!
*crickets*

ok well we wern't exactly angels I'll admit but we were good...sorta..

Wow! lots of new people hear. Welcome everyone!

Hobb- I was so happy to hear from you today. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> I just hope to get to hear more about it soon.

Don, I should be on most of tonight, if you want to talk

Hehe. I just sent you a message but I think you are at walmart. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>

Well today I started teaching 2 more swim classes and man do I regret taking them. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> the kid are abit hyper to say the least but thats not the main reason I didn't like them. It that the parents sit there the whole time and watch every move you make! I hate it! There is so much preasure!ahhh! I guess the reason I was more stressed out tonight was last week a mom of one of the kids in that class (this was before I started teaching it) came into the office and started screaming at my Friend/ coach/ boss. So I was just a little bit nervous. And besides, this is my first month teaching you know and they didn't give me alot to go on when I started. Anyways....Rants over now. Sorry. That felt good to let out. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

-Don

Hobbi, I know you had a fabulous time, but you're just making us more and more jealous by showing us how much fun you had through your lack of ever coming home! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> I seroiusly can't wait to go to a moot myself, but after all the updates in the B and B, I wonder if I'm up to it. Did anyone not drink?! oy. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

I saw some of the pictures and I must say Ren dear, you're adorable! I do hope we can touch base in March. I'd love to meet anyone in the area, minus the drinking. Just not for me...<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

So how was it for you two to finally meet eachother, father and daughter? was it everything you expected?<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

well i'm not sure i'm the right person to awnser as i haven't been to a 'real' moot myself, but it's an event that usually lasts for 3 days(over the weekend).

TORCers meet up and do what's on the prgogram, like going to the movies(Liverpool moot), museums (Exhibition) or visit whatever that's Tolkien related(the Oxford moot, visiting Tolkien's grave, his pub etc)
and just basicly hang out with each other.

It an event by TORCers for TORCers so to speak <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> and alot of fun, ask Hobbi <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> you should deffinitly try to make it to one. To see if there's one you like go the the Events forum.

and by the way hi to our latest newcomer <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> I'm Jae <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Hi all. For some reason my computer's not letting me visit page 5, so I don't really know what was said...anyway...
Let's see...right, about me:
I'm a girl (lol), and I'm still young enough to have homework!!
Waaaaay back in fourth grade I discovered The Hobbitin the library, and am now obsessed! I personally am addicted to the LOTR soundtracks. I also like manga, reading, drawing, writing, and that's about it <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
Lemme know if I'm yapping too much; I have a tendency to do that.

Sorry if I don't reply for a while; it's hard for me to get on a lot.

*Cheers!*

Yapping? Oh windy, that's what this place is all about. Yapping at eachother over seemingly trivial things for the most part. Yap away. You'll fit right in.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

It is lovely to have you back Hobb and Ren. it was getting crazy around these parts.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Oh, was it you Marie who asked me what I was majoring in? I think it was. Theatre.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> With a focus an the non-acting side of it. i.e. lighting design, directing, stage combat, set design, etc. I love theatre. It's what I do. thanks for asking.

Sorry we couldn't talk more last night Don. I don't remember what I did last night, now that I think of it... oh well talk to you later

Donnamraie- I know it is tough to be a parent. I didn't mean that all parents are like that, but I was just stressing about this one mom who had came into the office and chewed out my boss the day before I started because she didn't think the sub teacher was in controll of the lesson.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> I was watching most of it and she WAS in controll. Just made me stressed thats all. All better now. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Hobbi- Your sober now? I thought you were always drunk. hehe. just kiddin. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Boo-Fun talking to you too. Don, I hope you got my messages this morning, there were about five of them I think<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Sorry for babbling on and on and on

And family, I have an announcement to make. I don't think I'll be posting as often as I usually do after this. I need to focus on the people and events in my life that are outside the PC, not inside. I really love TORC and everyone I've had the opportunity to meet, but it's mighty addictive for one such as I and I have things like homework and weddings and plays to take care of and so forth. Don't feel that I don't love you all and think about you often. That's where my problem is, I suppose. I will still get on to check up on what's going on, and I will post when I feel the need, but I need to limit myself and it will be easier if I tell you all that I'm doing it. I will still be on yahoo and AIM, so IM me once in awhile, alright. I better go start my day. I have a load of classes today and I must be off. I'l talk to you soon, but not as soon as I would like. Will power Bou, will power!!

hugs to all,

Bou

If not just let me know and I will talk to you about it later. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> I know what you mean but just don't stay away too long.

-Don
