*huggles Teh BTster*

(how do you pronounce BTster? hmmm...)

Well you know...one side-effect of going to high school instead of being homeschooled is that one is bound to go to a prom or two, maybe even a few homecomings and therefore pick up some mad dancing skills ;)

That's not true. I haven't been to one single dance, and I've been in a "regular" school for all 1* years. My friends are threatening to drag me to prom this year though. However, I do have mad dancing skillz.

*does jig. Stops, realising that it is the wrong dance, and enthusiastically launches into the Lurk. Halfway through, she forgets the steps, and slinks off to a corner.*

Well, I didn't say that it was inevitable that everyone goes to dances when they're in high school, but the majority do ;)

I've been to two dances in my entire life. And never been asked to dance. I just stand in a corner, or near a wall. *sighs and runs off to the chat thread*

Hey, the only time I had people to dance with was when I had a date to the dance...and out of the many times I went to dances in high school (I can count at least 21 dances off the top of my head...yes, I said 21) without a date (I only had a date for 3 out of those 21 dances ;) ) I was only asked to dance once out of pity, so don't feel so bad :P

It is a little dead in here, isn't it? ;)

Eh...going stag to a dance is sooooo much better anyway - I'd rather spend the evening dancing with my girls than with some guy I probably don't know that well ;)

Thanks suga, I'll keep my eyes open! :D

I don't know how much it will pick up in here now that there aren't any more movies coming out. We'll just get a few stragglers a year from now on I'm guessing.

Maybe we'll get a couple folks after the ROTK EE comes out ;)

I miss getting n00bs here... I hardly get to do my whole, 'I'm-LadyG-also-known-as-the-Mouth-of-Evenstar' bit anymore... or threatening bodily harm to anyone n00b stupid enough to call me 'Mouthy'... :(

Sounds about right for you Lady_G..psychic messages...lol :P

I know what you mean about there probably not being very many more newbies for a while but I think that people will still join because they will realise this website exists. Alot of people will like LotR but not know about this website, and one day when they find it, they'll tell their friends, and their friends will their friends, etc etc etc so n00bs will come...

Well, that's my theory anyway ;)

Well, I don't know about the telling their friends, their friends telling their friends part, but certainly some people who will read LOTR for the first time in the future and enjoy it a lot will search for a fan site or something like that and they may just stumble upon our happy little home :)

Actually looking at the memberlist there seems to be a pretty steady stream of newbies joining, tho not all are immediately participating in the forums.

Maybe they are hanging out in the Reading Room or something. Or Lurking.

I wonder how we can drag them here and get them to post....

True. But what can we offer them? I've broke. Perhaps if I promise to give them tours of all the ME locations if they come to NZ.....
