Why would anyone want Canada? *Waits for Nen or Scribbles or another Canadian to stop by and kick her butt*

Good morning, PCEers! It's looking like rain here, which means I probably won't be doing Kung Fu this evening (we're supposed to meet in a cemetery, which is weird, but I didn't pick the location...). Which means.. more sewing! Dress is done, but I think I'm going to make a shawl for it for warmth and in-church shoulder cover (heh, Vatican moment).

Absolut makes me think of a Greek/Latin joke centered around a construction called the "genitive/ablative absolute". We frequently refer to it as the "genitive/ablative of expensive vodka". :D

Aaaanyhow, :hihi: all!

I know, I know.. I am kind of joking/being silly.. I just think it's kind of a strange ad. Ads that are trying to sell something don't usually try to pizz people off.

Those were roughly the borders of Mexico at independence.

You would think making people angry wouldn't work.......but any publicity is good publicity right?
Oh.. duh.. I get it now.. I was thinking they were claiming the golden brown part (not the green part) as Mexico. I wuz confuzled. :P

:hihi: everyone! I was hoping to post on page one, but never mind. Page two is almost as good!

I'm back!! :D Yes, I'm back from my gallivanting on my days off. Actually, all I did was spend time with my parents, helping out on the boat, varnishing etc, and then spent the evenings with my man .:)

Speaking of movies, I am going to TRY and psyche myself up to go to the matinee of Star Trek on Saturday. Everything that I have read about it makes me want to see it.

Hi heliona, welcome back. You seem perky. :D Must mean that you had a good time hanging with the folks and being able to spend time with Wilko. Glad you are home safe and sound.

:hihi: all PCEheads. So glad it is Thursday, just one more day until FRIDAY....which is why I am workin', for the weekend.

I'm perky because I'm only working two days this week and then I have 6 days off! :D And Wilko's coming up Friday after work, so I get to see him for almost a whole week! :yippie:

Also, the weather is still sunny (and I know I should enjoy it whilst I can, because some rain and wind is due to come in soon) - in fact, I even managed to get some washing outside on the line yesterday afternoon! The first time this year that the weather and my schedule have allowed it! :D

WHOOO HOOOOO. I think that would make me perky too. :D I would say enjoy the time with Wilko, but that is a given. Very cool that your weather is good enough to hang your wash out. I haven't done that is so very long. I used to hang out the bed linens when I lived in CA, that was a very long time ago now. Hope your weather holds. We are expecting a warm sunny four days from tomorrow through Monday. :D Just in time for the weekend.

Heliona, you and Wilko have a great time together!!  I remember the young love days. ;)

Rwhen do go see Star Trek. It is a fun movie. I think it is much better then the original movies. They did a very good job doing a prequel with new actors and a great script. Well that is how I saw it!!! I am not a trekkie either so coming from someone who wouldn't mind never seeing another Star Trek thing, that is a lot.

This weekend we might be going to the drive in to see Angels and Demons/X-men: Origins of Wolverine. We haven't decided yet!

Hey Vanadarlin' :D

Brother Jim says that Wolverine is great. But the ads for Angels/Demons looks awesome too. Hope you do get to go. AND a drive in. :D I haven't been to one is ages. I don't even know if we have one that hasn't been turned into a swap meet. ;)

From the other thread, what great news on your job my dear. I am so happy for you and your increases, promotion. I knew that your hard work would pay off.

On other news, I am getting up with Imi next Saturday at the Olive Garden for a lunch date. I haven't seen her in months and months now, I think after Christmas. Can't wait to see her again.

Cool to hear from your brother. We have to drive to Oak Harbor for the drive in. That is the only one we know of anymore.

I sure with Vanadarlin' and Rowan. Big hugs all around.

I only like to go to the matinee showing where I live. On the Friday or Saturday nights every kid in Battle Ground goes to the movies. Need I say more?

So I will try for Saturday. I don't mind going alone at all, it is the motivation to get my butt out of the house that is the problem on the weekend. :D Usually I just wait for the movie to come to HBO or Pay Per View, I can see them on the day they hit the video stores on my TV. But this might be worth going to.

Rose what I meant was early in a relationship when you get so anxious to be together and spend time wooing or whatever. Now that I have lived with my love for the last 4+ years and we are married the opportunities for such anxious gathering is a bit different so I think it is fun to remember those days. The days of young love! I still am very anxious for the evening when we are once more together again but it isn't quite the same as when we only got to see each other on the weekends. :D

Paper view! :roflmbo: I love that!!! :lmbo:

Paper View :lmbo: Okay so that is really cute. My first honest laugh today. I don't use PPV often, but when there is a movie I have been waiting for to come to DVD and it shows up on PPV, then I will. It cost the same as renting the DVD and I can record it if I want to. :D

"New" love, is the word I would use to describe that emotion Vanadarlin'. Not that young love doesn't express the same sentiment. But that feeling when you are first dating and doing the "getting to know you" dance is a "high" that is hard to replace and it goes away too soon. Being "in love" can happen for a long period of time, but the "new" love only lasts until people return to their natural tone level.

And let me add....from my point of view of course. (the above)

:hihi:

Speaking of young love... someone just called looking for a Paul and asked if I was his wife. :P That's the third or fourth time I've been presumed married since we moved here; several people have shown up at the door and asked about my husband, and when I went to pick my arrows up from the archery range, the guy asked what kind of bow my husband shot. :P I mean, I'm old enough to be married, but still... It's especially hilarious because when I was younger, people always assumed I was several years younger than I actually was.

Paper view! Love it!

But you didn't hear that from me, got it?
