Ooooooooooooo FIRE!!!!

Rose, I think rwhen knows something I don't...what's wrong with your neighbor?

I switched my closet from winter to summer clothing today. It's supposed to be quite warm the rest of this week. Yet...'tis always cold on Memorial Day. Go figure.

Yay fire!

I don't think I know what's wrong with Rose's neighbor, either, but :hugs: just the same! Scrub bugs and obnoxious neighbors.. augh. One of my neighbors runs a daycare. We had the back door open yesterday to let air in, and with it came the screams and wails of little kids.. *twitch* Make it stop, guys, make it stop!

Going on a concert-ticket-finding mission today! And hopefully going to Meijer to get salsa, because it's on saaaaalee! Finally! *Takes salsa very seriously* :D

:eye: Elfy!! FIRE!!! Enjoy the digging? I would take Tooks up on the help, seems he could be a handy fellow to have about. ;)

Tooks....if I count correctly 39 ta go!! Do you have your ship all picked out? Is there going to be TONS O RUM?

Sil, salsa IS a serious undertaking. But Meijer??? *clueless* And I am with you on the screaming kids. When I came home from work yesterday, I get out of my car and there are six girls, I would say middle school age, SCREAMING about every minute or so and cackling. This was downstairs at an adjacent apartment. I slammed my door and locked the slider and turned up the TV.

Oh and a few drinks helped too .

Iris, Rose has mentioned this brute before. Seems he fancies himself as a know-it-all and the sort that sets you up ahead of time by asking leading questions, then takes that opportunity to be critical. brrrrrrrrrrrr.

I think he needs SOMETHING. ;) And a Ninja will do.

Just found out my SIL is going in for surgery on Friday afternoon to remove a cyst from her spine. Nothing too major, out patient surgery. But I was a bit surprised. Yesterday she went to the doctor, she had had an MRI because she was having bad bad pain and now surgery right away.

Prayers please. :D She will be fine, trust me this is small potatos from what that woman has been through in the last ten years.

Thanks ladies. I just sat with her for a bit and she seems to be okay. She is stressed, just because this is like 8 surgeries in 10 years, but she knows this is the least of what she has been through. Mostly she is in pretty bad pain right now. I will pass on your well wishes. Those always make one smile.

 and prayers for your SIL from this Sil, rwhen. ;)

Meijer is a big grocery store here in Michigan, like Target or Wal-Mart. It originated in Greenville, which isn't too far from here, and they're so common in MI that I forget other people haven't heard of them. :P

 at Rose's neighbor. I know someone like that... I pretty much avoid talking to him about anything serious because he's very good at Socratic-methoding you.

Grr, Rose's neighbor. As in certain forums ;) it is important not to get into an argument with certain people. I try to confine myself to a raised eyebrow, an noncommittal grunt, and at most, an ice-cold "Thank you for your input." Except in certain forums, at certain times of the month, when I'm as bad as any of them.

Rwhen, to your SIL. Prayers coming up.

And Fred Meyers stores used to be a client of my former employer, so I at least heard of them.

Salsa! Why didn't I think of it yesterday? I was planning a Mexican style ground turkey for dinner, and I got the chips but forgot the salsa. Caramba!

Frelga, certain times of the month? You mean the time you have to pay the bills? :P ;)

I like Freddies. Very much. They are a bit proud of some of their stuff, but they also have quality food. Usually I am a Safeway hound, they just don't have the variety that Freddies has. :D

Thanks for the prayers!! I will pass them on.

We have a chain here called Martin's, which is related to Giant. They're rather expensive, but have really nice stuff. So does Weis.

And then there's Wegman's. Do any of you have Wegman's? I LOVE that store!

My hometown (the one I work in and where my family's from) doesn't ahve a good grocery store anymore since Wal-Mart came in and killed all but one of the competition. :x

I've never heard of any of those, but I find it really amusing that our Meijer is also associated with a Fred Meijer. :P

Speaking of stores, I went to a Nordstrom Rack today, which has lots of brand name stuff at "discounted" prices. That could be a reaaal drain on my wallet, except a lot of the discounts weren't discounty enough to count. :P Still, lots of fun stuff; I tried on leather coats that made me look like a biker chick. :D

My Weis store is 1/2 mile away. Unfortunately it's tough to walk there since I have to cross a four lane highway.

Sil, you posted at around 3:45 PTS yesterday and I leave at 3:30. So I missed ya. :D Nordstrom. YUMMY. I don't know that we had any sale going on here, but this summer I would like to get a leather coat on sale.

Tooks, like your siggie muppet rockers. :D

Iris, walks long or short are a good thing.

Still haven't decided if I'll take Memorial Day Monday off. Methinks I will. Mr. Frelga has not vacation days now, and I won't have any after end of June, so it'll be a long time before we can have time off together. Still don't know what I am going to do with the summer breaks that my son has. :pull:

Aw, yeah summers with Lufu's age and you are workin' for the weekends basically. Sorry Frelga. But he is old enough yet young enough to find stuff to keep him amused I think. And you have your baseball too. And some other holidays thrown in there as well. Why doesn't your hubby have any days off? Did he just already use them up? Oh I wish I had that problem. I have so many off days coming to me. Like four weeks vacation.

TAKE IT, Frelga. :D That is my vote. I would think that your weather in the bay area will be nice like ours is going to be.
