Inny dear you be careful. Even if your numbers have dropped and they no longer consider you diabetic that sugar can still wreak havoc on your system. None of us need to be eating sugar actually.

Frelga, the cheeseburger site is one of the first places I visit everyday. After TORC, of course.

Well... My 11 year old printer finally gave up the ghost. Gotta go look for a new one this weekend . :P

Later!

You know, I always thought that the Sith could use some marketing skillz. Seriously, Dark Side? Who'd join that? Even Stygian Side would be better. :P

Tooks, I wish you were near enough to be a recipient of a perfectly good printer that my ILs are replacing with an all-in-one. They scare me with their computer prowess.

We just got a new printer at Costco for about $60. A nice HP. It works well and has a fax and copier included in it. :D

I LOVE  ... no.. I ADORE having a printer/copier. No more going down to the store and trying to dig out change to get the copy machine to work.. only to use your last change and the copy doesn't come out configured properly. :P

That sounds like a great deal Vana. I only really see the point of having a B&W printer. If I ever need a color print, I'll go to the centre.

OK, almost time for a new thread.

Printers aren't too expensive these days. I don't think that we've got a copier function in ours because we don't need it, both the hubby and I can take copies at work for free. We've got colour option, though, because we do occasionally print pictures.

A new thread?? Again??? Already??? Sheesh . . . yacky bunch, ain't we . . . :P :D:D:D

It's actually hard to get just a straight printer these days, most of them come bundled with either a copier or a copier/fax option. In the old days, the multiple-function ones weren't that dependable, so, say for instance, when the fax part broke, everything was broke, including the perfectly good printing/copying part. But the units now are so much better, I got a multi-funtion one last time and have never looked back.

$60 at Costco is a very, very good price for an HP. I think I paid $140 for my Canon ImageClass, oh, about a year and a half ago. :)

Busy weekend again. We're going on an afternoon cruise with the Mustang Gang, stopping at this very cool pub for supper - they have a space where you can pull your car in!! Since so many classic and muscle car owners go there (and a fair number of bikers), there's always a beeeeyooootiful car to look at, well, at least until the live band starts playing since that's also the space they set up the band. ;) They're letting our club pull each of our cars in this afternoon/evening, which should be a hoot. Okay, it bores the rest of ya stiff, but . . . y'know . . . ;)

Tomorrow we have to come home and move all our furniture out of our living room into the dining room, and the TV room couches to the back of the room (into the exercise area.) I have carpet steam cleaners coming on Monday, which the hubby was supposed to be home for, but now he's apparently being sent out Sunday evening . . . *sigh* So I'll working from home on Monday, but I don't think it's going to be very quiet, or fun . . .

:hihi: waves hi and bye . . . Have a great weekend y'all!!

Neither one of us can make copies elsewhere.. unless we go to the library.. etc.. and then it is expensive.

It is so nice to be able to quickly copy a piece of music or resize a bunch of images & print them for a school project, to decorate a folder or what have you. And Scribbles is right, they've really come down in price & up in quality. My daughter got a free canon when we bought her Macbook. That was really nice for her to take to college.

Sound like an awesome weekend, even if it is going to be busy Scribbles.

Rose, I got the MacBook deal too but completely failed at the rebates. First of all, I didn't even order the printer, which I would have gotten a free rebate for. And second, I threw out the iPod box, so I couldn't get the "free iPod" deal and lost around $400. :(

Ouch, that hurts, Eru...

Watched a great ball game last night.
Ichiro hit a walk off homer against the Yankees.
Love it! Love it! Love it!

Getting closer and closer to that magic thread stopping number.

Our dishwasher is down.
Yesterday, my helper comes to me and says there's something wrong with the machine. The rinse cycle isn't heating. Well being that I know nothing about that stuff, I call over the walkie-talkie for the maintenance man. He determines he can't fix it so we call in the repair.
Now when I filled the machine that morning, everything was working.
I didn't notice the temp, I was too busy still, everything was working.
Repair comes in after lunch and dinks around with it then I hear a snap, crackle, pop and see a flash of light.

Not exactly what a dishwasher is supposed to do.
So repair dinks around some more and now the machine is stuck in the 'fill' cycle. And he has the nerve to tell us something must have been wrong from the start and that he won't be able to fix it until Monday.

No, I don't think so, sir.
Somebody broke my dishwasher and refuses to own up to it.
I left with our maintenance on the phone with the boss of the repair guy.
No one really wants to take on our maintenance guy.

It's paper plates and plastic forks until it's fixed. Washing a boat load of dishes by hand is not good time management and our weekend cooks don't have the luxury of a kitchen helper.

Better be fixed real quick on Monday or there'll be hell to pay.

Wait, so did the repair guy break it even more? And man, I hate it when people break things and just leave them there. Face the consequences! Tell someone!

We did tell someone. Or rather our maintenance man did.

And it's not the company's policy to use paper plates.
Would be a lot easier for all concerned, but what can I do?
They seem to think people with Alzheimers know from fine dinning and just plan getting their meal so they can eat it.

I vote for getting their meal and eating it.
