Vanadarlin', Chililicious is going to be a "joint" rather than a fast food or elegant type restaurant. He will have the two TV's (42" large screen) one in each corner for like you said, games and news. It might be that HE wants it for that more than anyone else, but it will help to set the tone that he wants for the place.

Well it is almost 1pm here and he won't even think about it until he gets home and unloads the TV's and groceries and such. So, I will probably work until 3pm. You will have me here.

Yes, Eru. :yippie:  That means you FOR SURE have to get your butt down here. :D

Eru is your mouth feeling better? I hope so!

Hey Ayslhyn!! How are you this fine Friday??

Heliona I may have to have you fix some lamb for me. I have only had lamb once and I hated it. I think it was a bad batch of lamb at a fair that I had gone to. I will have to give roated lamb a try someday.

Iris I love your holiday kitty siggy. Very appropriate and very cute!!

But you've never had lamb? It's SO good and juicy and tender if you've had it cooked right. Next time you're at a greek restaurant, order the lamb.

I like my sweet potatoes with butter, a little brown sugar & pecans. Yummy.

I don't know that I've ever had lamb. I think I may have smelled it once and it had a very strong, gamey flavor.

For Thanksgiving I made my 20 1/2 pound turkey, homemade parkerhouse fan rolls, orange & cranberry relish & cranberry sauce, orange & cranberry jello, cucumber salad, sweet potatoes with pecans, pumpkin pie, dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, dressing, deviled eggs, a crue d'ete platter (raw veggies) with a spinach dip in a rye round, and the assorted, olives, pickles, etc.. my sister brought carrot cake & veggie pizza appetizer, my brother brought pierogies, and my sister-in-law brought some veggies.

I wanted to take some piccies of the 'feast' and I took some piccies of the table all set.. but once my brother & sister got here.. the food was a-flying. We come from a cooking family ... and it was crazy! Things were all cut up before I got a chance to take a picture. Besides, the turkey was so tender, it fell off the bones as we took it out of the pan.

C-R.. you had a cinnamon crunch bagel? You must live near a Panera bread. :D Those are my favorites too.. but I have to watch my calories. (that sounds kinda silly after having just made a post about my 'feast'!!)

Oh gosh, I can't imagine putting anything sweet on sweet potatoes - they are sweet enough as it is! Maple syrup?! But then again, Americans traditionally have a much sweeter tooth than Europeans with regards their savoury food.

Rose, lamb isn't particularly gamey, so I doubt it was that that you smelled. I'm not fond of game meat, and I love lamb, which is why I don't think it was lamb that you smelled. :) It's delicious!! :D

Rose, maybe it was mutton that you smelled. :)
(Sometimes, I've heard, restaurants sell you mutton for lamb. I don't know what mutton smells or tastes like, but I've heard that it's pretty strong, and makes people come away with a dislike of lamb which they took it for.)

I luuuuurve lamb, much as I feel sorry for the cute little critters. :D

Not a fan of sweet potatoes, but not because of the taste but because of the texture that I don't like.

I'm having lamb for lunch tomorrow, too, not a full-fledged roast like heliona, though, just a two-minutes-in-the-pan slice of meat. :D
Will probably be having Brussel sprouts (rwhen-style ;) ) and potatoes with it. :D

Oh, yes, I love lamb. I rarely have it, as it's expensive, but I dearly love it when I can get it. It has a unique taste. For some, it's a traditional dish at Easter.

At a local gourmet-type store, I tasted sweet potato butter. It was great. Made with apples, sweet potatoes, sugar (brown and granulated) cider, and I think that is all. Really good, and a more interesting flavor than apple butter.

rwhen: Negotiable instrument received. All the other jars sold out.
The total calories present at our church Holiday Boutique would have been astonishing if I'd tried to figure it out. Brownies, pumpkin bread, gingerbread, chocolate spoons, candy bars with festive crafty wrappers, pineapple upside down cakes, regular cakes, cookies, even dog treats.

Lamb is great stuff. it has a stronger flavor than beef, but not a strong smell. What you smelled could have been mutton, which I don't mind, or it could have been spices.

We had a wonderful lamb curry in Paris that was very mild, so that there was just a hint of curry flavor. It went beautifully with the lamb.

Yes, I never thought it could be mutton because you don't see it that much around here. And we'll be having lamb curry with the leftover lamb tonight. :)

Never had mutton and never want to try. I'll let the trolls eat it. "Mutton yesterday, mutton today and mutton again tomorrer."

I had a turkey sandwich. I couldn't resist getting a turkey breast so I could have those.
