Story, how exciting!!! :D and I agree about the vampyres! First thing they do, get you undressed, then take blood.

A get-well spider to t0by, definitely. And a big bottle of tequila.

ST, hope that things go smoothly about Nadya's visit! 8)

Yay for teh Tooks's long weekend!

And, I survived the most stressful day of this week. Tomorrow's Friday... 8)

Well do you want it or not? If you do I wish you would just come out and say so. Honestly, I have always been really annoyed by people who drops hints or make oblique comments rather than just saying "Can you give me X?", regardless of how obvious what it is they are after.

ROFL, Iris! :D

toby, so sorry to hear you had to go to hospital. :( Is everything resolved now?

LOL, as to the vampires, that was my thought, too, when I was first in hospital with my diabetes - they took veinous blood every single day for a week; and I don't even know what they tested!

scribbles, if betting on no more casts helps raising the chances that there'll be no more casts, then that's what I bet on!

story, yay! :D I hope all works out for you! :D (Is Nadya the train-phone-call-girl or someone new? I might have missed something there. :D *is not nosey. Not in the least. No, sir!* :D :P )

w00t for Tooksie's 4-day weekend - I hope you get to relax a bit! :D

And, hehe, yes about cloud nine. :D Although here we say 'cloud seven' - isn't that curious? They're probably keeping people on different clouds for different countries. :D ;)

t0bY, I hope things are better for you today.

Scribbles, I have my fingers crossed for the half cast.
Hope it's healing well all the same.

ST, great news about Nadya's visit.
Have a fun time.

Tooks! :yippie:
A four day-er!
They are wonderful things.
Have a good one.

Well, they're putting in a new floor at work.
They'll prep the dining area tonight then put the floor in tomorrow.
We have to feed the residents where we can.
Some can eat in their rooms, but others have to be monitored so they don't choke or drop their food or forget they even have breakfast in front of them and some have to be fed.
We'll manage somehow, but it ain't gonna be easy.

Later...

Calma, I don't envy you your day tomorrow. I hope it all comes off as smoothly as possible. :)

toby, if Tooks is gonna send you get-well spiders, are you sure you want her to have your address? :D:D

Thanks Calma and truehobbit, but alas, your cyber-coin has been lost . . . it is indeed another cast. *sigh* Looks like it's 12 weeks and counting . . . :(

That's the not so good news. the good news is that there was definite change visible on today's x-rays, the center of the fracture is beginning to 'blur', which means it's healing over. But there's still enough un-blurred portions to warrant another two weeks in a full cast. I asked about the half-cast, but my Doctor was straightup with me and said that to let me do that at this point would be downright irresponsible since the bone is just not healed enough and if I jarred or re-broke it, then it wouldn't heal at all and I'd be faced with far more trouble down the road.

I just hate it when they make sense . . . :P

Sooo, put in your requests early, there's a blank canvas just waiting to be violated . . . =:) :evilaugh:

I also finally got a call from the Plastic Surgeons office, from a nurse telling me I have an appointment next Wednesday . . . this after my Doctor asked me today if I'd heard and I said no, and that based on our prevoius conversation, I didn't expect to since their statement that it was "an old injury and therefor, not urgent" made it sound like I shouldn't hold my breath. Needless to say, my Doc was a mite peeved and said he'd "straighten it out" and call me later today or tomorrow. LOL, guess he was pretty frank with someone because that nurse sounded awfully grumpy . . . :P:D

So, working from home today . . . and tomorrow's Friday!!

I have a four-day break too. Cast or no cast, there's gonna be some major gardening and yard stuff happening . . . ;)

have a great evening y'all!

Y'know, I was debating which weekend to take my four day-er.
I should have taken this one...
Oh well...

Scribbles, there's a reason I never put money on anything.
So sorry to hear you have yet another cast.
But am happy to hear you are healing.
Hmm, I'll have to think about what to doodle on your cast.
Enjoy your four day-er.

For some reason I was thinking I had toby's address, but when I checked my TORC list...I don't!

So send it to me, buster. ydlrun at aim dot com.

I saw a HUGE spider in the basement a few days ago. Lemme see if I can find her...

I also hope the court thingy gets resolved, in your favour of course.
This is a yes. My brother's girlfriend has won the case but the payment is still being quibbled over. Not by her or the judge, but by the Govt who has to pay it. Could be a while before that is resolved. *sigh*

Scribbles, sorry about the latest cast. :( But is better to fix it now as the Doc says, than never be able to wield a sword again...just sayin'

toby, I'd like your address as well so I can send you something from Oz. Is there anything you'd like? Tim Tams or maybe not food if you aren't feeling well enough to eat them. send email to miss-doona@bigpond.com

Tooks, have fun the next 3 days! Don't do anything Louie wouldn't...

Never thought about how many clouds there would be...but glad hobby is on one. ST is probably on one as well.

My new physio bruised me and stuck me full of needles. Actually I have had acupuncture before and it doesn't hurt much. Though the cupping did and I now have more circles and "train tracks" on my neck and shoulder area. But the muscles are looser now and the pain will go away.

Oh and tonight, I'm going for an historic walk in a cemetary. Should be interesting and cold...

A teddy bear.
Yeah, I'd like to doodle a teddy bear on Scribbles' cast.
Would that be do-able?

Hope you and Tooks are enjoying your four day-er.

Oh and just as a bit of a heads up, Tooks, after I submit this post your TVM dues will be up in 70 posts. :D

Have a good one, people.

TH, it's just an ongoing injury. Combo of pathetic muscles and RSI in my armses.

Wenchie, who is summiting, eh precious? Would be an excellent place for the TVM. I've always wanted to trek to Base Camp but I'm afraid of suspension bridges and I don't want to go over them strapped to a yak...

Scribbles, I think I'd like you to draw a kangaroo!!! :D

Today I tried on a lovely pair of ski boots (Salamon) but I'll have to wait for a sale to afford them. Don't care if I get 2009 stock. And test drove teh Mazda 2...but I prefer the Ford Fiesta. Who knows when I'll get a new car though...
