collapses next to Hiril

Aaagghh, 10 hour days is gonna keeeel me . . . *sigh* I just have to keep focused on the days off in lieu I'll get at the end of this 5 week tunnel . . .

Calma, you want I should send the Scribe and her broadsword up your way? I'm pretty sure she could clear the corporate infestation pretty quick (with beastie's help, of course.) ;) Seriously though, I hope the days go real quick so you can wave bye-bye to their retreating backs (along with a raspberry or two . . . :P ) :D

Wenchie, I'll come help you out (and that way I could get a chance to taste all your scrummy-sounding cooking, canning and baking, LOL).

*sigh* Hubby came home and told me he quit his job this morning. He'll do one more trip next week, then he's done. Gah. I hope he has one of the other jobs he was talking about in the can, 'cause we have bills to pay and changing jobs always means a big gap between the last cheque of the old job and the first cheque of the new one. Sheesh.

Okay, I have to get some shut eye. Like Hiril, I have to roll outta bed extra early tomorrow (6 am).

But on a happy note, it'll be FRIDAY!!!

Wenchie, yeah, I was also thinking that there's not really time left for any further planning. Hopefully next time.

nl, yes, they are! And so beautiful in the sunlight.

swordsman, thanks, I'm quite excited about it. :)

Hmmmh, I think we should have a TVMers m00t, what do you guys think? ;) 8) :D

IT'S FRIDAY!

And so, hopefully the last day for now that Calma has to suffer the inspectors. 8)

Dubs, those plushies are cute! Even the orc.

Scribbles, good luck to your hubby at getting a new job. He must be totally pissed off with the latest one to go and quit! Hope he has something up his sleeve.

Hehe, there's a fell beast romance in the air... :D

Ooh. Shineh. I want to go, but I don't think school is exceedingly forgiving about those kinds of absences (although I do get ten days a semester...)

I'm also not sure my mom would drive me.

I'm currently waiting for the bell to ring and feeling very superior for bypassing the YouTube ban. :D Predictably, I'm very tired. I also have a runny nose and a sore throat.

They actually told my supervisor that since they have been here four days, there WILL be nothing wrong in the kitchen.
Excuse me?
You know darn well, you'll find something just because you can.
They'll be in for certain sometime today after they get done nit-picking the front.

Yes, by all means, Scribbles, send the Scribe.
I'd love to see her come riding in on beastie, broadsword a whirling.
And the TVM sliding in behind them.
There's only two of them, hardly enough for a snack for beastie, but maybe he could use an appetizer...
There are some pretty good restaurants in town where he can scare up some grub for himself.

Hiril, hope you feel better.
Man, the only thing I liked about school was leaving it.
I hope you don't have that attitude.

A TVM moot?
Well, it would be cool to have one,
But like all others moots, I usually can't afford the airfare
Or the time off work.
So, unless you hold it in my back yard, I'm outta luck.

:hihi: rowan.
How are the dance classes coming along?
My friend Debbie, does belly dancing.
She's been doing it for years and it quite good.

He did WHAT?!
Scribbles, he quit his job?
Do they grow on trees up there or someting?
Oh, I hope he has one in the wings
Or won the lottery...
Keep breathing.... Just keep breathing.
And I hope your 10 hour days get you lots and lots of time off.

Wenchie, how do you keep up with yourself?
I have a hard time doing it, you must be frazzled by now.
Shame about your candy shop closing.

hobby, how's the US holiday coming along?
I hope you're enjoying your trip.
New England is a pretty place to visit.
Too bad you and Wenchie can't meet up for a quick hello.
Ah well, mayhaps another time.

:hihi: nl!
How's your Saturday going?
Have your muscles recovered from your skiing trip?
Work going well, I hope.

Dubs, cute plushies.
I'll have to look into getting the Gandalf one.
How's your new job coming along?

*opens the lid to the dumpster for Louie and family*
Just to make it easier for them to pilot the TVM to the place...

Have a good Friday, folks.

Later....

So many topics!

Calma, good luck with the inspectors and have a good celebration when they're gone!

School: I loved it. Of course I slacked off quite a bit, especially in college... But we didn't have the Internet for a distraction back then! We had to find our own distractions. I was pretty good at that.

Scribbles, here's to your hubby finding a new job pronto!

Hobby, Wenchie: Vermont, eh? I haven't been up there in quite a while. But I'm just down in Connecticut... waiting for the leaves to turn, should happen in a couple weeks...

Sounds like truehobbit is having a good, if busy trip. :hihi: Travel safe and keep us updated! :D

notlistening wrote:Scribbles, I thought hubby has just bpught a new rig. DOes that mean he'll go find jobs as a subbie for other companies? Hope it works out okay.

Sadly, part of hubby's personality is changing his mind more often than his underwear. He shelved the idea of his own rig in favour of buying property in Christina Lake, then abandoned that idea in favour of downsizing our house here and putting the profits into investments, then changed his mind again and now? I'm not exactly sure what the heck is rolling around in that sometimes pea-pod-rattling brain of his. I just grit my teeth and wait for the next idea to surface . . . So yes, it's one day at a time, breathe, don't forget to breathe or else I'll strangle him . . . ;)

rowanberry, yep, totally pissed off is an understatement. He's been wanting to leave this company for a long time, but had to wait until the economy picked up. Luckily, the old axiom of "If you got it, a truck brought it" is still a stone-cold truth so his industry has recovered fairly well.

Morwenna, thanks. :) I'm fairly sure he has something else, I suspect he hasn't said simply because he's still making up his mind.

Hiril, sounds like a cold coming on. Take Vitamin C, drink lots of water and get as much sleep as you can. It sounds old-fashioned, but I'm here to tell you it works. ;)

Calma, a TVM moot in your backyard? Could we?!! I'd be there in a heartbeat . . . sleeping bag and all. Depending on where you live, we might be in Mustang-Range . . . LOL :D Anyway, hope your corporate types find nothing but the Best Run Kitchen in the World and decide to leave early. :D

And speaking of work, time to get back at 'er. 10 hours is a loooooong day, so the sooner I get 'er done, the sooner it's, well, done. Gee, no lack of towering intellect in this corner of the globe, lemme tell ya . . . ;) :P

Have a grand one all!!

lol. I think the Orc plushy looks like a green vulcan myself. :P

So I just found this on my new(er) laptop:

You offer this pair of jeans freely. I cannot deny my heart has greatly desired this. In the place of baggy-jeans-wearing people you shall have a queen, not dark but beautiful and stunning in fitted trousers, not in treacherous tight leggings, but stronger than the hallowed Levi's. All shall love me and despair!

I pass the test. I shall wear them, and go into the west and remain well-dressed.

I honestly don't remember writing that....

Ooooo, Tooks.
Wonder when they'll broadcast it?
Or will they put it on DVD and charge us an arm and a leg to get it.
I'll just rent it from NexFlix. :D

Bill Mazeroski (sp) was once the third base coach for my M's.
I have his picture somewhere.
He was soooo cool

Well, they finally came into the kitchen.
We passed with flying colors.
As if I didn't know that already.
If they had hit the kitchen on the first day, they would have found it in the same state.
Not once did they watch me serve to make sure the residents were getting the right amount of food.
THAT drives me nutzoid,

But when I left at 2, they were still there.
I don't know what's happening, but I sure hope by Monday they're gone.

Hmm, a TVM moot in the backyard?
Well, if you don't mind sharing it with the squirrels, Blue Jays, and Beau Kitty, you're more than welcome and it's big enough.

I live across the Sound from Vana, Scribbles.
Definitely 'Stang range.

Dubs, you have too many blank spots in your brain.

Happy Weekend...

Okay, this seems like the best place to post this.

I'm taking a break from the packing, which has moved to hauling bags of stuff that's going with us out onto the deck so I know for sure what still needs to be packed and what doesn't. Anyway, I have TNT on in the background, and they're running a Supernatural marathon. Never watched it before, and only slightly paying attention right now. Heard a familiar voice, and I looked up at the tv to see...... Badger! Being I'm not entirely sure what, but definitely not human.

Tarina, he was being a demon. Mark Sheppard actually pops up quite a few times in various US tv shows, which is a bit odd. :)

I have finally posted my first Finrod post and have in honour of him changed my allegiance. :)

I'm curious to see who will play Finrod. :D I'll have to start preparing for the red carpet as well...

I had a nice evening yesterday watching the finals of an ethnic dance contest. There were so many great performances that I really didn't envy the jury! And, to top it all, the group of my former Bollywood teacher won the adults' class! 8) Each contestant had to do two numbers, and both of theirs were quite action-packed Show Bollywood pieces.

*sigh*

Well, I'm sitting on my bed, I'm wearing my pajamas, I've got a ton of homework, my throat is very sore, my ears are going weird, my nose is stuffy, my wastebasket is overflowing with used tissues (and I just finished off the last of the clean ones, so we'd better have another box somewhere around here), and to add insult to injury, my cat has taken possession of my bed.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I've got a cold.

Not to mention that I just typed out a whole long post for MoME, I tried to submit it, the Internet quit, and I had to rewrite the whole stupid thing. Oh well, I think I improved upon it, actually. I'm not sure the Witch-King is going to like me after this month, though.

:rose: Dang it Hiril, I'm sorry to hear that it is indeed a cold. Still, if you take Vitamin C, drink lots and take a lot of short naps when you feel tired, you'll help your body toss the germs out more quickly. Hope you feel better soon . . . and on a side note, did you expect your cat to do anything else except take possession of your bed? ;) :D

*sigh* Looks like I'm going to miss Roger's Harvest Ride this year. It starts at 10 am but unfortunately, I'm on Teller Duty at church tomorrow, which will fall smack in the middle of the ride event. :(:( And I can't even re-arrange it, since tomorrow is already the result of a swap with another Teller . . .

Next year. Wild Horses won't keep me away next year.

rowanberry, good on your former dance teacher's class' win! It's nice when someone you know is rewarded. :)

Tooks, us? Odd? :P

oldtoby, why was your lava lamp being held hostage in the apartment complex office for 2 weeks? Was it being naughty? =:)

Calma, excellent news about the Corporate Prats. ;) Of course, WE knew they wouldn't find a single thing to complain about . . . ;) :D

Tarina, hope the move is going well and you're not overdoing it, young lady. :nono: :)

:hihi: to everyone else . . . it's a beautiful sunny day here, the river valley is resplendent in fall colours and unless I miss my guess, if the sun holds and it gets warm, it's going to be a Cruisin' Afternoon. Hubby has to go to work early tomorrow and at this time of the turning year, any half-warm nice day is going to be a Mustang day. ;)

Later!

I've already changed my mind once, however I've come across someone who will do fairly well. :) I suppose I'll have to find something for myself to wear!:doh:

Hiril, for writing up MoME posts - or other role-playing posts for that matter - write them up in Notepad or something offline and then just copy and paste it across onto TORC. Believe me, it will save a lot of heartache! I'm speaking from experience! :D

Um, not really. Still, it's a bit annoying.

And I can't really take lots of short naps. I have to do things and go places, and my mom will let me stay home from school on account of a simple cold when the hot place freezes over. If I've got some powers of concentration and I'm not hacking up globs of mucus all over the place, I don't really stand a chance of staying home. ;)

*remembers the week last year when just such a thing happened*

*sigh* And that was the only time I missed school all year. Sometimes I feel too scholarly.

I don't want to do anything that requires more brainpower than reading fanfics and maybe posting on TORC (come on, October!), but I've got copious amounts of homework and my mom wants me to clean off the front porch. Plus I've got the self-inflicted punishment that I may or may not do... My math teacher said that a redo was too messy, so I'm very tempted to write the whole thing out in full-blown calligraphy and be delightfully insolent. :P

It's too bad that you can't do the *runs to get tissue* bike ride, Scribbles. I don't get on a bike much anymore my ownself, but I did like it, once upon a time. I think the gears are scaring me on my bike (well, I don't really have a bike, per se...) and I just haven't gotten on a bike in a couple years.

airhyfgiaeprfy <--faceplant on keyboard

ETA: Heliona, I did write it out on a Word document and saved it after the Internet decided to be nice to me, then pasted it in.

I suppose I should be digging up some bribes...

Actually, it was me that suggested that. :)

Life is short; break the rules, forgive quickly; kiss slowly; love truly; laugh uncontrollably; and never regret anything that made you smile. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

oldtoby, why was your lava lamp being held hostage in the apartment complex office for 2 weeks? Was it being naughty?

Well what happened was I ordered my fountain one day, then the next i ordered the lava lamp. A few days later i come home and theres a note from FexEx saying they delivered my package (note package..not packages) to the office. So I went to the office to get my package, which i assumed was the fountain since i ordered that first. Never thought to ask if the lamp came, why would it have i ordered it a day later. now its 2 weeks later and ive still not seen a note saying my other package was delivered, so i got online and used the tracking number to check the status. it said it was delivered the same day as the fountain. So it sat in the office for 2 weeks cause I didnt know it had been delivered.
