Since when did the word GOD become a TOS violation????

A few years ago...

It nearly caused the downfall of the boards.
And is one of the reasons we no longer see Lidless or Estel or many others.
The phrase is the TOS violation.

It's a long, scary, and sad tale that I don't wish to dredge up again.

(btw, I saw Jon's side better than the others...)

My Wednesday went well.
My Kitchen Helper is pregnant. She didn't come in today and I was sort of freaked out because she's had a few miscarriages, but she sent us a text saying her appointment went well and that everything is good.

Yeah relief...

ST, kick butt, buddy.
Way to go... :D

I could have sat and listened to her read the phone book aloud and been happy.

Really? How sweet. (Yours is nice too.) Phone books are rather dull. Though I could listen to David Tennant read one...

When you hear Tooks or Wenchie speak, you can tell they are from teh East Coast. :)

The_Angel has a lovely speaking voice, if you ever get the chance to meet him. And Alys's scottish accent is divine.

TOOKS! Have seen LOST now. Stayed up til 2300 last night to watch it all. So we can talk about it now.

ST, sorry about your silly ex provider. :nono:

Storyteller, it's good you caught it sooner rather than later! ((Actually, this is one reason I never set up auto payments for anything . . . they can wait to get paid until I pay them, LOL)

Ooooo a Curmudgeon Cookie sighting! Watch out for the Abominable Snowman, I hear he has a fondness for Oreos . . . ;) Seriously though, it's great to see you! :)

Okay, I know y'all may think this is boring but I have some rather momentous news . . .

Can you guess? =:)

Not according to the Plastic Surgeon . . . =:) :D

Alas, the half-finished art-cast is now sitting on my shelf . . . and my arm/hand is now encased in something that looks like it came off a plastic Terminator, LOL . . .

Get a load of this puppy - top view . . . and from . . . the side . . .

While it grieves me that I was unable to get Storyteller's hoopoe bird done, I am somewhat (and understandably) overjoyed to BE FREE!!!!!!

Well, not entirely I guess. i have to wear this contraption 24-7, but I can wear it into the shower . . . :D:D:D . . . I can get it wet . . . :D:D:D . . . i can take it off to air out my hand/arm (not to mention scratch an itch) . . . :D:D:D . . . and it serves as a mild physio workout when I bend my wrist as much as this "articulated" cast allows me to.

The Plastic Surgeon had x-rays done (he didn't care that I'd just had some a week ago, LOL) and the first words out of his mouth when he asked me when I'd done this was "WHY THE HELL DIDN'T I SEE YOU SIX WEEKS AGO??!!" *sigh* I asked him if he would have done the percutaneous fixation procedure at that time, and after his jaw dropped at my use of the term, he said yes and how did I know about it? I told him I researched scaphoid fractures the moment I knew what I had and well, yadda, yadda, yadda and so on and so forth and like that. He just sighed and said that since it was far too late for the procedure, and that the bone was actually healing, he felt it best to put me into a limited movement, articulated cast and see me in a month for a followup.

So, I went by my regular Doc's office on my way out and cancelled next week's "cast removal, x-rays and checkup" LOLOL . . .

Tonight, I am taking off this contraption and soaking in the bath for at least an hour . . .

Wooohoooo!!! for getting rid of the cast, scribbles! :D  :D

Story, glad you got that fixed! :D

:hihi: everyone!

Over here I had a fabulous whitsun weekend, which I spent at my parents', the weather was just perfect and there was lots of meals in the garden and much May Wine was consumed, too. :D  And lots of birds were about, making a happy racket all day long. :D

Tomorrow, my sweetie and I are off to Helsinki to meet up with Rowan, heliona and wilko. :D (Of course, now Helsinki isn't the warmest place in Europe anymore. Ah well. :P )

:roflmbo: :roflmbo: :roflmbo: :roflmbo:

. . . wipes eyes . . . Oh thank you nl, that was the best laugh I've had in a long while . . . :D

And thank you Storyteller (and your hoopoe bird) for being understanding and forgiving. I was really looking forward to copying the picture i found . . . I suppose I still could, LOL, since I have the cast . . . ;)

Glad you liked the 'surprise' faery maiden Vana, I thought the moon and stars would be a nice addition. It's sad that it didn't last the two weeks, but ah well. :)

It was hilarious yesterday too, all these hospital techs and nurses and other staff kept coming into the therapy room to see THE cast . . . "where's the lady with the artistic cast? Oh cool!! Look, Seymour wasn't kidding! Oh man, you should have seen the last one!" LOLOL

Thanks everyone, you can well imagine how grateful I am for this development. While I still have pretty limited movement, I can at least touch my thumb to my first two fingers which means I can actually (though gently) grip things in my left hand again. :D

A somewhat semi-normal life for a month and then we'll see . . .

Have a grrrrrreat Thursday folks!! ;) truehobbit, have a safe and most enjoyable trip! (You lucky gal getting to hang out with such great folks . . . ) ;)

Yes, unfortunately, the weather here is back to normal. Not too bad, though, if the forecast is right. Tomorrow can be rather rainy, but Saturday and Sunday should be OK.

Ahhhh, a cast-less scribe. :) Good for you lady….must feel great. Of course, you’ve lost your pad to draw on, but you can always use paper right. Hope it heals perfectly lady….it’s been a long haul.

And Rowanberry, Truehobbit, Heliona and significant others are all getting together? That sounds wonderful….you guys have a blast. We will be thinking of you!

I have no motivation today…..I’m getting very little done here at work. Blech.

I guess I never answered this.... the answer is 'sorta yes'.

Oh... you want the explanation??? :D

When 'the incident' happened, it caused the electromagnetic radiation to build up to a dangerous point, so they set up a method to release small amounts every 108 minutes.

I am getting some stuff done at work. :P
Don't wanna though. :P

The whole EM radiation thing was one of the major factors that stopped me from continuing to watch Lost - I'm not into dubious science, particularly when it's a major plot point! :D And the plot just got too torturous for me to be bothered.

Congratulations on the cast, Scribbles!

Yes, off to Helsinki tomorrow! Although we're leaving in the early afternoon, thanks to the extra two hours that Finland is ahead of us, we arrive at night. :cry2: Still, everything is booked (car parking at the airport, flights, and hotel) and we have euros. So we're ready. :D
