Thanks, Silwen. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Today I noticed that we have 49 posts left to go until the end of Thread of Today V. It's only taken us nearly 3 years.

We used to be so spammy before! Then life got in the way, I guess.

Today I have managed to actually be productive. I am surprised! Won't be doing much now other than looking forward to my lasagne. :D

 Exactly! I keep forgetting that that is what we called them.

Today I am watching the old Paul Merton series from the early 90s. Good for passing the time when you have nothing else to do. Oh, and the lasagne was tasty even though my taste buds aren't back to normal yet.

"things keep appearing."

Sounds scary. :P

Today I'm going to try to find a rather important paper that I somehow stupidly misplaced.

Today I am still finding it hard to get used to the fact that I am free until September. I still have a one week summer placement to set up as part of my course - I'm going into town later today to talk to a lady that will hopefully accept me. Just waiting for my exam results now, hopefully I've passed them all! :)

Yay! And then you'll have most of the summer off. :D I hope the exam results are wht you expected. What do you get to do at your placement?

Today i msurprised by how quickly it warmed up already. I am still not well enough to do much outside so I havn't been able to enjoy the sunshine.

I think I did quite well in most of my exams, time will soon tell. My placement will be purely observational, but it will be good to see how a private clinic is run as I have only ever been in NHS clinics.

Today, it started off cold here, but it is very warm in the sun. Some nice weather we've been having - definitely barbecue weather. 8)

Good luck tele, on your results! I too, am awaiting my exam results which should be out within two weeks I think. Sorry to hear about your aunt. :(

Hope you two are havin' good days! :hihi:

Tari, that does sound interesting, even if it is just observational. I imagine a private clinic is much nicer. :D Not that I will ever get to experience one. ;)

Sidd, yep, I am The Doctor. What are you doing today?

Today I started knitting a new shawl whose pattern was a present I got ages ago. I only got around to starting it now because of the amount of yarn I need for it - I couldn't buy the right kind for ages.

I'm really looking forward to my placement, Silwen, although it has been a nightmare to set up. So many places have either said no or just haven't gotten back to me. It'll be good to hopefully see some things I haven't seen yet in clinic. Hoping for some nice big stinking ulcers. :D If I ever get to open my own clinic when I graduate you're more than welcome to come over for some free nail care and complimentary foot rub. ;)

Today I am marinading chicken in Worcestershire sauce, soya sauce and teriyaki sauce after having some lovely chicken yakitori at Ichi-ban the other day. Hope it turns out good. :D

I shall have to take you up on that! :D

Today o didn't actually get any work done becaus a friend of mine called and I asked her over so we could sit outside in the sun. Since I had been ill for a week, I was getting so bored all by myself so it was great to see her again. I also got my birthday present from her. :D

Today, I am scanning the horizon as we have several fires burning, not close to us, but things can change rapidly. It is hot and dry and windy, the triple threat for fires.

It will be a long summer.

Portia, thinking of you.

Leon, enjoy!

Today I got another indoor antenna because I am sick of having a TV but not being able to watch TV programmes on it. So far, I only have a few stations, but BBC 1 is one of them, so we're able to watch Dr Who. :)

What more do you need??

Today, I listened to three of my mandatory (they aren't kidding) continuing legal education programes. Three more to go to get my self study total of 12. But, I will have to find a monitor to sign off that they know I did the remaining 13 hours. Since I will be visiting my son, daughter in law and their kiddies, I should be able to get them to "monitor."

This PM, I am working in the Zoo Gift Shop. It should not be too busy, as it is not yet summer and spring vacations are over (we shall see).

Today I have pretty much decided that I would rather go on a week's holiday in June than to the Oxford moot in August. I miss seeing new places and being near the sea, so I think we will go to Torquay instead this time. I do feel a bit bad about having to miss out on Oxford though... but nothing has been decided yet.

That's a shame you can't make it, Silwen, but yay for new places! :)

Today I have a sweet tooth so I am thinking of baking more chocolate muffins. Also going out to a new Japanese restaurant tonight which used to be another restaurant which my boyfriend and I both loved. I hope it will be as good as its predecessor.

Today it's back to normal again - the May Bank holiday is over and I should get started on my taxes before I put it off any further. It's not that I don't like doing them, it's just that I forget about them if the deadline is so far away. :P

Today I watched the army drive through our village- about 10 tanks in all! :Q

Congrats on the new glasses LK! Speaking of glasses- anyone here old enough to have worn the 'cat-glasses' style ?? I did, in the days of yore :D

Happy calculating with your taxes, Silwen.

Oh, and no we are not in a war zone- the army is on the move around this time of year for training purposes. Still, they are loud and take up almost both sides of the street when they rumble through :Q

Today, as planned, I got my tax return done. Can't say I understood all of it, but it should be right. :P If not, I am sure I will hear about it soon enough.

crystal, I did wonder what was going on where you are! ;)

It is lovely and warm here again today. I may just have to go out into the sun later on while it lasts. I am sure it will rain again sometime this week.

Today after having scorching weather yesterday and people wandering about without their tops thinking that they were in Costa del Glasgow, it is back to being cold and bleh.

Costa del Glasgow

I like that!

Today it's okay here in the south, though definitely not as warm as yesterday. It's cloudy, but there is a little bit of sun occasionally too. It's supposed to rain though.

My GP has a new online servicewhere you can book appointments and request prescriptions, so I am going to try that out today. I registered this morning and hope it all works properly.

That reminds me, I was given an appointment to see a kidney specialist and it turns out I have no idea how to get to that clinic. :P There is one right here where I live, so why they think I would want to go all the way to the other out-of-the-way place, I have no idea! We have no car, so this will be interesting...
