Oh Iris :( I hope you get better soon . Take care.

I deny that my colleague has done as much as possible to leave me stuck with stupid and concerning issues  :nono: ... But it's alright the agents are following my lead and we are doing good anyway :P :P ta!! =:)

Otherwise my husband is crazy; my laptop was acting up with the internet connection flashing all the time driving me nuts. He got me a new laptop for Xmas and my Bday. It's nuts but really thoughtful - I love my husband

Feeling better. Mostly tired now. New Year's Day was spent mostly sleeping after I swept the kitchen and living room and put away laundry. I had lunch, then racked out for a few hours. Took the next day off and slept more.

Sleep is a very good thing!

The second ring is easier than the first, CR! :D

I deny vehemently that again this month I had false hope.

I have been on this medication that is supposed to make me ovulate and I was almost 2 weeks late. Did a test this morning; negative. And 2 hours later bam. The damned things. I feel :( ... my husband was so disappointed when I told him; it was written on his face although when I mentioned it he said that he mostly was sorry on my behalf and he got me a glass of wine to make me feel better . He's sweet. But I can tell it is also bothering him somewhat... I know I can't feel guilty about it on top of everything because your psyche has an impact on your body but can't help it.

At least work is going well; not sure how I would handle it.

Had a meeting with HR yesterday; went very well. CEO very happy with my work they are looking at my pay increase.
Should have confirmation by the end of the week :D :D. Waiting to see what they offer.

Extremely tired after working 11 hour days at work for the past week but 3 day weekend just ahead. We were supposed to go skiing but that has fallen apart as the temperatures have now reached a ridiculous Spring-like level  :(. Oh well that will be 3 days to spend with my husband and to enjoy each other's company :D

Eari, I don't know this from experience, but I have been told that if you are able to not try, to just go about your life without this being something you worry about, it will happen. Now, I've always wondered, how do you put something like that out of your mind? But if you can find a way to just not...maybe you will? :)

But congrats on the work thing. Looks like someone is noticing your hard work and dedication!

Really? Seriously? Honestly? Give the cats chicken broth? Like from a can of chicken soup?

I'm more than willing to try, especially if it helps, but I'm not sure I could get them to drink it.

Well, except for Rowan. Whenever I eat soup, he's always trying to stick his nose in it.

I'm denying I have to run errands today. I was going to do them last night, but I was so sleepy when I got home from work, I just crashed. Now I have to deal with the Saturday morining craziness in the stores. Oh well, at least the roads are clear and dry.

Yes, but get a can, or carton, of actual broth. I'm not promising a cure, but it seems to help...rather like when we eat chicken soup when we're sick. If they won't drink it, I'd try an eye dropper with a little bit in it. Again, I'm not promising miracles, but it should help.

Hey Iris, sorry for the late answer... I realized that I was not so much hoping to be pregnant but rather that the medic would allow me to have a normal cycle, you know 4 weeks not 6 . I try not to obsess about it as it is doomed to fail if I do.

And yes people are starting to notice the hard work. I have been offered a raise, which was going to come but I find myself in a weird place; I need to negotiate a wage for the first time in my life. I never had to do so before; the wage came as it was and there was no negotiating. Here I'd like 5k more a year, which remains reasonable considering the scope of the project but my husband says to ask for 10k more because they will probably cut it in half anyway. That seems a lot but I have to phrase it as if it were normal. Totally scared. :P

 You can do it!

Meanwhile, there is a job here I think I'm going to apply for...401(k), paid dental and vision as well as healthcare, and regular hours. You know...I crave regular hours more than the other things. The drawback is...these people here are my friends now. I hate having to go to a new place and start all over again.

up and almost running... gosh the nights are too short. Ah well what can I do? I am not reasonable and to be perfectly honest I keep dreaming of work  trying to find ways to improve our results.
Will go nuts if I don't pay attention. I think I will try and go to bed a little earlier every night so I can actually be functional and at the gym around 8:30am in the morning (since I wake up at that time anyway). Not sure how successful I'll be at that but one might dream.

PS: I am now less than 600 messages away from my spikey wheel of death :D :D

I'm denying that I forgot to watch the US Being Human this past Monday. Completely forgot the new season was startng.

Fortunately they re-run the heck out of everything on cable, so I searched and found a repeat showing of last Monday's program, and set my DVR to record.

Thanks, CR! Only 65 posts to go. ;) :D

Iris, I can't even imagine being so close to a second ring.. it's taken me 11 years to get my first ring! Though nearly 7,000 of those posts were in my first year and a half on TORC, on my old account (I created this one in 2003, and Jonathan kindly transferred my original join date and post count for me). I suppose it would have gone faster if I hadn't taken so many extended breaks from TORC over the years. Hopefully the second one will go a bit faster. ;) :P
