Yah Martin! Driving is fun! Hope teh interviews go well.

Tooks, nice villa! So do we have any TVM money stashed in a Cayman's account? We could use it for cabana boys and drinks and jet skiing and scuba diving....

And we can be all jealous of Scribbles on her sun filled holiday! I can bet what she's doing right now: reading "Heat Wave" on the plane.

And it's raining here again. In fact most of Sydney is swamped. Australia is not a good holiday destination this year. We had no summer to speak of and a very wet start to autumn.

Congrats Martin!

So mr syl and I went to Vancouver today - not the one in Washington but the one in that strange and foreign country.... At first I was afraid, I was petrified... amazingly those Canadians are very American-like :D This was our first trip to Vancouver though we did spend about a month one day getting back and forth to Point Roberts. Seriously, Canada, why won't you take that town?? I want to go here but the hubs not a fan.

Sorry about the rain nl :(

.... and what does TVM stand for?

So Scribbles found the book Heat Wave to read? I have a copy of that and Naked Heat. Rather short books but very much laid out like the TV show and you can see the Characters very clearly. :roflmbo:

So not so good news around here...........

There is a big search by the Coast Guard/police/fire etc around here because a 2 1/2 year old girl vanished playing on the beach with her sister and mother.

The mother is an old friend of my older sister.

NL I found the books at a thrift store here and have loved them. I am keeping my eyes open for the next two as well.

I love Castle and Nathan Fillion!! So there are more then just the two of you here.

Did you catch the reference to the new book that he is working on? It will eventually join the line of other books supposedly written by Rick Castle. I still wonder which of the writers is the actual author of the books.

That is terrible Lewie!!! I am praying for the family!!!

Mad scientists? I like! :D

Been a while since I told any work stories, so here it goes. Today a woman named Paulette called because her name was spelled wrong in the ticket. It was one of those cases that need to be seen to be believed; her name appeared in the ticket as.... Toilette. I kid you not. And it was a website order; she made that... error herself. Go figure.

Another customer, a man, called to change his ticket. There were no available seats on the flight he wanted, so he asked us, in all seriousness, to book him a standing ticket. People really do believe that a plane is just a flying bus.

And yesterday we got a call from one of those stereotypical Jewish mothers. "My son is backpacking in South America and he hasn't called me for three days already! He bought travel insurance from you, why aren't you looking for him?"

There's really no right answer to that one, is there?
"...Their aim in war with Germany is nothing more, nothing less than extermination of Hitlerism... There is absolutely no justification for this kind of war. The ideology of Hitlerism, just like any other ideological system, can be accepted or rejected, this is a matter of political views.
