Happy birthday, Tooks! :)

Well, today I'm recovering from an overtime night shift (I finished this morning) and I'm back at my usually scheduled shift work tomorrow morning.

Still, my weekend was good. :D

And yep.. 29 it is.

No pushing and shoving. There is enough cake for everyone. And maybe enough tequila. ;)

And one of these days I'll show up on Wenchie's doorstep and she'll have to bake me a cake. Hmmm... I think I prefer the apple pie though. :D:D:D

You really think I'd send Tooks a spider from Oz??? have you seen teh size of some of them??

Actually I have 2 pet spiders in my garage right now, clinging to the roof. A daddy long legs named Reggie and a spider masquerading as a stick called Cecil. The stick one creeps me out. I did try washing him away with the hose when he was on the ground but the dratted thing went for higher ground. So long as neither "drop" onto me, they are safe.

nl names everything :D

And Aussie spiders are just disturbing. If Tooks ever gets her hands on Huntsman eggs, we're all in trouble.

Boy Howdy I just got a blast from my past.
A friend I haven't heard from in 25 years googled my babyman's name.
He found his website and contacted him.

Wow, our friend is doing well and living in Indiana.

Helpful little thing the internet is...

Later....

So I moved from a region that had black widows (in our garage, yard - disgusting) and tarantulas in the foothills, to a place that has the 'giant house spider'. There is nothing about that name that's good. I've seen many of these - in our house naturally, and they were the biggest spider I've ever seen that was not classified as a tarantula. And then I looked up the 'huntsman spider'. Notlistening is very right - we ain't ready for that thing!!

Ready.

In other news...um...ANTS! Have you guys been seeing a lot of ants this summer or am I just special? :P

And the violets are especially prolific this year.

And the crabapple trees! Sheesh! Talk about blossoms!
