Hello beloved family,

Leoba, as you asked I'm not posting in the new forum, it's normal that the adopters can post in the first place. Congrats to you four as I did not have the chance to tell oyu so before.

I know I haven't been there in a while, but I'm still alive (thanks for asking Niniel<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>). I had different things to do IRL , one of them being meeting Rodia yesterday. To sum up we had a brilliant time, around 10 hours together; she even met my family. Hopefully she will recover from her meeting with my father<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> (I guess it's rare to see a 50 year old man with green hair<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>). We talked lots, walked lots and had a great time rollerblading... I'm now really eager to get to London and I will work the hardest ever to get to the Grand Gathering, even if it's still a 'dream'. Well this was a great week-end. Now school is taking over as I'm waiting for the results of both my reports and dossiers, probably by wednesday...

Fala, don't hesitate to post long messages, because I like reading them (maybe it's not a good reason but...), and I think we can all share what we have in our lives without being criticized (spelling??) or judged. I feel honored to read all that you share with us, it's a proof of your trust. Thanks for that.

Eryel, my prayers accompany you, and your friends... I hope you won't get upset with the poem I'm about to post in the bards' guild. I hope you'll excuse me if so...

Well I hope to see you soon on the boards.
Eari<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Eari~your poem in the Bards Guild did not bother me at all. On the contrary, I thought it was quite wonderful. My parents may have lost a chance at having a long, loving marriage, but I know plenty of couples - my grandparents in particular - who are still certainly very much in love and are an excellent example of what a parenting couple should be like.

...So...we're not really moving away from the orphanage; to put it poetically, we're just redirecting the road leading to the door. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

I am auditioning for our school play, Amadeus, tomorrow. I am no Julia Roberts, but I desparately want a part, even if it's just as an extra. Wish me luck!!

-El.

Nice to see you again, Eari. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Your dad has green hair?! Wow...

Eyriel--break a leg <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> I'm a theatre "freak" as well--both acting and tech. If you can't get a part, at least go for tech. Either way is quite rewarding <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
I wish you lots of luck Eyriel! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Eari~ I was thinking that we could explore our character's histories a little more once I join in the RP thread. If you want to talk about somemore before then, perhaps we can so another IM session.

Leoba~ Well have to make it a date then! Could you tell me how long the Sharpe series was on and how long ago it aired? I still have so much to learn. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Leoba, Skyy blue is a malt beverage. I do believe it has some Vodka in it. But I'm not 100% sure on that. It tastes like Kool-Aide when you drink it. Kind of like a wine cooler does. It's really good when you can't drink the beer.

Earendil81, I haven't seen a man with grown children have green hair. Must be cool to see though <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Today I took a math test and failed miserably. But lucky me I get 1 more chance to improve. Well, if I'm going to improve I'd better get some sleep so I can think in the morning when I go to study.

~Vanan
<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

eari, contente de te voir.

eyriel, in German you say: halt die Ohren stef - keep your ears stiff - to tell not to loose courage- wish you well for the theatre, I loved it when I was at the university.

Sorry, I didn't have yet the time to get yahoo IM, but I will probably do so on wednesday. I get green of jealousy to hear you talk about chat sessions... (not so cool as eari's dads hair, but...)

I'll be rushing off to the long expected party and bake some cakes for the party- maybe I should open a bakery guild one day.

Please - wish me all the best for adopting and as nice kids as Leoba or T+T.

Yours, M

*taps fingers* I’m still waiting on Mat to show his face on the boards again - I emailed and IM’d him last night. But there is no hurry to move just yet, since we have this thread until the weekend I believe.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Ture, I picked up your Buddies message this morning.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> I will change the title for you - either in my lunch break or later on this evening. Time was just running away with me last night and it was a fight to get everything done on the boards that I wanted to. I’ve just had a mammoth printing off session so at least I can work on my Bards Party Planning post and some email drafts whilst I’m on my way home on the train later on.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> I’ll get myself thinking on a MUTTketeer title as well.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> I was thinking along the lines of ‘Rose of the Shire’ (or ‘Shire Rose’)???

Eari, I’m glad to hear you had such a positive experience. 4 days and counting now until the UK TORC Moot!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> …….your dad has green hair!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Eyriel, best of luck - break a leg (that is such a daft phrase when you think about it.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>).

Rho, the Sharpe series started being broadcast the June before I was 15 I think - I can check exactly for you - so that would be about 1993? And it ran until just a few years ago. All the original books have been dramatised, running through from ‘Sharpe’s Rifles’ when the British army was just crossing the Portuguese border into Spain through to ‘Sharpe’s Waterloo’. The books by Bernard Cornwell are very good as well - especially once you envisage the most delightful Sean Bean in the title role and Sgt Patrick Harper’s lovely Irish accent.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Vanan, it sounds ‘interesting’. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> I’ll stick to wine and beer (and mead and spirits…. ) Good luck with the maths.

Nin, of course we’re wishing you all the best. And hopefully whatever your adoptees are like, some of the good vibes emanating from this family will; rub off on them.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> And yes, do get yahoo! Please. It would be so good to get you nattering away on there as well (so much quicker than Buddies and a godsend when TORC crashes).

I know that TORC is taking over my life. Last night I didn’t just have my usual RP-influenced dreams. My mind was doing all sorts of weird stuff, worrying about the school of adopters (FatCatDave was chasing me asking when it would be opened), trying to come up with a poem for the festival and all the while an officer of Wellington’s army was wandering through the deepest recesses of my brain!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Right… I need chocolate and the I must get some real life work sorted!
