Well this is looking absolutely wonderful, all these Aussie TORCers going to the June concert and all on Saturday.
Here’s the list:

Lantherien and friend
Midgardsormen
notlistening
tinewen
samaranth
celebalqua

We definitely have to organise something for after. I have not booked a hotel yet, but I’m quite prepared to make it a long one!

Okay Hey's I'm going on the Friday for the Concert. However, I will have a TORCer for the USA down here staying with me and I think it would be great for all of us to meet up at one point or another. He was at the Gather of the Fellowship with me so might be nice to meet with other TORCer's for coffee.

Hello hello! So long since I've been here!<BR><BR><strong>celebalqua</strong> - looks like a good list! Even bigger than the attendence to the last Aussie moot! Really wish I could make it, but as I've just posted over in the Aussie Events thread, timing has worked against me & my uni budget. I shall just sit at home, play the cd's, and mope.<BR><BR>Hi <strong>BaronAlstine</strong>! Nice to see you in here too <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><BR><BR><strong>Lantherien</strong>! Great to see you back. No Toronto for me. Waaay outta the budget. Hobbit feet? I used spirit gum (available from all good costume shops) to glue hair (my own actually, as I'd had a hobbit-haircut recently, but you can also use dolls hair or wig hair from craft shops/toy stores) onto my feet for the convention. Looked good, and (of course) very real! There's also other tips and that at that alleyscratchcat or whatever costuming website (that's where I got the spirit gum idea from).<BR><BR>Hey <strong>nl</strong> - it was nice to see you at the convention! Hello also to <strong>Samaranth</strong> (wish you could've been there), and <strong>purrlin</strong> who was lurking a few pages back. Hello also <strong>Midgardsormen</strong> - it was a nice surprise to run into you at the last convention (I was the weird hobbit who approached you because the name on your t-shirt looked familiar <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> ).<BR><BR>Hello also to <strong>Manya</strong>, <strong>Lady_L</strong>, <strong>prettyG</strong>, <strong>sh_wulff</strong> & <strong>Samos</strong>.<BR><BR>Apologies to all those to whom I promised convention reports. I managed to get started before the holidays, and meant to get them finished over the Easter break. Alas! I went home to my family, and left my notes back here in Canberra! But I am reunited with them once more and hope to work my way through them. I will however, post what I've done so far up in the <a href='http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?catid=38&threadid=68422' target=_blank>Aussie Events</a> thread, and will keep editing the post. I also have a very very VERY exciting (well, for me at least), convention follow-up story that I'm about to put up there too.

Hey Aussies, how's it going? When are the dates of the 2005 Gathering? I am in the mood for travelling...<BR>Sorry Lady_Legolas, you're back! I don't really know why I bother saying who's inactive... I guess because there's so many of you...<BR>Have fun at the Concert, I'll be with you all in spirit. *sigh* two of my favourite things - LotR and music - combined.<BR>Samos, I do remember you! How have you been?<BR><BR>Hi to everyone else <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Sorry I can't stop long <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><BR><BR>~~Manya~~

Hey Lantherien it would be wonderful to meet up. I’ll add you to my official list
This is starting to turn into a fully fledged moot now. We are growing wings. I am very excited. Booked my accommodation yesterday. I never get let out so I’m having a real treat and staying at the Holiday Inn, Potts Point. Hopefully I can walk to the Opera House. A friend said there is a really good Indian around there. I’m from Melbourne so don’t really know, but if any Sydneyites can point us in the right direction that would be great.

Howdy!
Long time no see! how has everyone been?
Well i'm sort of in the midst of my semester one exams, well actually i only have one more on wednesday, and thats physics. Grr had my 3 unit maths test today! I don't think anyone finished it. there were some really hard questions! I attempted about two lines of working in the last question but didn't know where to go from there, and it ws worth 4 marks! and then i had just figured out another question when it was pens down. Lol oh well we'll get our results back next friday so i'll see how i went then!

I'm so excited ROTK is out soon! can't wait!

keep well

:P

Lantherien - hope its not too late but I had a friend get those little flesh coloured 'sockettes' and stick hair like stuff (I think it was craft shop moss or something) on it with some fabric glue or double sided tape. It works relatively well, is very quick and cheap. And the best thing is that you don't have to spend two hours like thre real hobbits to get it on and then another hour to take it off.

Oh and EVERYONE - we're approaching the so called MONSTER THREAD status!!! Hahaha

Okay, lets reply by topic

Meeting up at Howard Shore ConcertJosh (the TORCer from US) and I are going on the Friday to the Concert. However, we need to organise during Saturday and or Sunday, meeting places and times. PLS, as Josh has been looking forward to meeting other crazy Aussie Ringers.

Gathering of the FellowshipNo date have yet been decided but they are majorily favoring July. I have booked my GOTF tickets and definatelly will be there, no matter what the date.

Hobbit feetThank your very much for the good ideas. Maybe we'll talk more at our newly Named Concert Moot lol.

Lantherien, Saturday night seems to go as most of us will be going to the matinee. I am flying out on Sunday around noon, so Saturday night dinner would be my preference. We just need to organise where. As I said in an earlier post I am not from Sydney but had a recommendation of a very good Indian restaurant in the area around the opera house.

If this is not appealing we could always just meet up after the concert and let the fates decide!

Okay here was my idea....... (God help us) You guys are all going to the Matinee. What time does that start and finish?
Whenever it finishes, we can move in on food areas of Sydney and gorge, feed and what not, not to mention.....are we going to drink as much coffee as last time I saw some of these people? *hides* If so expect so see my redition of a caffine high Gollum.

You can't pretend that caffeine-induced conversations about the mating practices of Uruk-hai and the like weren't entertaining =:)

Speaking of coming up to monster thread, Manya, were you still wanting someone else to start up the new thread? Cos if so then I'm happy too. If not then... can we move house soon! I want first pick of bedrooms! :D
